Only played the game for like an hour and unfortunately, I'm terrible in souls games (despite loving their designs and visuals) so I get frustrated very easily. I'm like stuck in the early-early beginning, like just got my first 'bonfire', and I'm stuck in that spot due to getting brutally beaten up. Can handle one on one with the enemies but two enemies and suddenly I'm getting brutally murdered before I even know what's happening. I know people are gonna say 'Git Gurd!!" and all, but thing is, I'm trying! Love the designs of souls game but most of the gameplay itself, I'm sadly not used to. I'm more used to the gaming style of survival/crafting genre and again, been trying to get used to souls style of gameplay despite being so terrible to the point my BF had to take me away from the games because of my temper. I plan on giving this game another go since I am getting stocked up well with resources and all. Plus based on what I've done and what Zio here is saying, I could be stuck in an area that might be over leveled for me at the moment...if I'm actually on the right path to where I need to and I'm stuck because the enemies love to gang up on me...Frick this shit.
You can cheese the knight of castle sol if needed. If you trigger him from the balcony (like in the vid) immediately turn around. He will spawn behind you as always but in air and fall down to the floor.
10:12 So what your saying is, there may be no graces to rest at in the Land of Shadow. If you die, you die 0: what if there’s a cutscene that shows you the aftermath of “Destined Death” since we pretty much reactivated it
I think the difficulty speaks volumes about the narrative of the game. Your character of all people should have no business being the Elden lord. You’re weak, you’re frail. If demigods could not win; what hope do you have of succeeding. You’re facing off against a giant who is holding the freaking stars in place and a goddess of rot. By all rights you should fail. Time and time again. But with effort and perseverance you can do anything. You can slay dragons and topple dynasties. Anything except: swim and survive falls
10:13 I have two theories about those giant skeletons, and both make me think they are not REAL skeletons. #1 They might be organic growths that occur in the Lands Between. They look more like coral or stone than bone. We see Godwyns face appear through death-root, or the big coral-like growths from the Scarlet rot. There is a precedent for faces or body parts growing as a side effect of corrupted land #2 They were originally statues carved by the ancient fire Giants. I think it's safe to say any statues or monuments made by Giants would be HUGE. Maybe they were actual faces at one point, depicting historical or mythological leaders in the Giants society. I can very easily see the Golden Order defacing these monuments once they took over. You don't want the history of a conquered race to just lie around, visible for anyone to see. There is historical precedent for ancient civilizations making giant sculptures to immortalize their rulers and by extension, they way of life. Even back in ancient Rome, one of the first things conquering armies did, was to deface or destroy all monuments of the enemy. During times of widespread illiteracy, architecture, carvings and statues were the best way to convey information to a large audience for a long period of time. Basically more permanent propaganda posters. If the golden Order couldn't smash them entirely, defacing the Giants historical monuments to make them resemble skulls is the next best step.
there might be 3 versions of round table hold. the one ensha invades is not our round table. as you mention we are summoned there and ensha is invading. i explored it and the only people in it are the twinmaidens but you cant buy anything from them. why are they the only ones there
Aggro the knight from the edge of the wall and then turn your character 180 degrees. The knight teleports behind you but since you're on the edge of the wall with your back to the ledge, he falls to his death.
You know what I would have really liked in elden ring? An actual colosseum. Not the PVP stuff, more like the KIngdom Hearts 1 Version where you have different "cups" you can attempt at any point in the game with your build. The PVP stuff in souls game was always kinda "unrefined" - enemy sword doesn't hit me but I take damage and vice versa. Enemy doesn't make contact with weapon yet I get the status build up despite having rolled through his/her attack successfully. Armored Core was a bit better than the rest and I actually played the multiplayer for once. But the souls games...I'm sorry they're made for PVE, not PVP. PVP may be fun, but I'd only ever play against friends since the most builds I ever encountered online were either abusing glitches to give me deathblight just because I'm in their vicinity or other obscure effects that killed me in ways I didn't even really understand. that really destoryed the PVP aspect for me. It's simply not fun to play against such builds. On that regard, PVP died for me. And I equally put blame on the devs as well as on the community. In DS 3 I once defended myself against 7 invaders that came in one after the other so I probably am not even exceptionally bad at PVP. But it's simply not fun. Not in elden ring at least.
Check out velkas rapier from dark souls 1. I’m pretty sure that’s where they got the inspiration for mesmers weapon. Also the npc that wields the rapier is a type of “confessor” I’m starting to see a connection between the painted world and the “shadow realm” in the dlc. For sure there are more connections to be found.
How many videos have you made where you just talked about dlc dropping, compared to all of your other videos combined. I'm curious of the number comparison
That first glitch with mimic item and black knife set can be replicated using the Crepus’s Vial talisman. It’s kinda fun walking up to other players and doing it.
It occurred to me that more than half of the players on ps5 never even beat Queen Rennalla. Slightly less than that never even beat Godrick. I'm ng+20 and still find things that are new to me.
Hey Zio, if you haven't watched it yet, consider watching timdiggity's video about the upcoming DLC and Miquella. It's a very compelling Theory. Maybe do a React video. I would be very interested in your thoughts about it.
