The extension of the lead hand (scoop) stabilize the face through impact an add speed. We just need to know when to do it…
Let me help you get a effortless golfswing with speed and accuracy. A good release will help you to a better impact and longer drives and irons without slice and hook.
Long and straight is every ones goal but it takes time. Try to focus on one thing not everything when you practise. Impact, face control and swingpath will always be the most important part to drill.
If you use callaway, ping, titleist or taylor made clubs doesn’t matter you can learn to hit good golf shots. Your loft or your shaft on the club will not change but you can get better.
Find what inspires you. The pga tour, longdrivers or other good golfers can all help you find better golf shots. Watch what they do instead of listed to what they say. Listen mostly to your body and figure out what you need to do to produce the same results as the pros on TV.
Mike Malaska, Mike Austin, Mike Dunaway and Steve Pratt are some of my favorite golf instructors online. Find the tips that make your golf better. Decide what you want to hit. I teach a draw but many like a fade and nobody likes a hook or slice.
Your hips or your lag is not the key to golf. Your hands will decide the shot and you can do like Tiger Woods and trust your hands. Teach your hands to hit different shots. Hit big hooks and slices to understand what happens. Only straight is not gonna teach you anything.
Bryson Dechambeu and Kyle Birkshire can inspire you to hit it longer. Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson can give you inspiration and motivation to test new things and new golf shots.
The Masters, Players Championship, The Players, The Open and US Open can make you love golf even more. See the best in the world solve all the problems we all need to master any golf course. Golf is a craft and you need fantasy, feel and skills to master it.

You are the only golf pro that understands the dynamics of the golf swing. Other pros all teach the same crap and none of it works. You understand because you had to learn at 30 years old and you quickly realise that golf was a sport where you hit the ball, like hockey, field hockey, baseball, cricket etc. If you ask a tour player how to hits the ball he gives you positions, in other words he doesn’t know. The only reason they turn into players is relentless practice that wrecks their backs. Great work 🎉

Top class and easy to understand instructions as always, if more golfers watched this channel instead of all create and hold the lag teachers, there game would improve dramatically, mine certainly did

Marcus, watching this helped me fix the top I had developed. Again, was killing driver, but lost iron contact. Watching you hit a few like this got me back on track. Slow-motion after real time is the best. Thanks. Assuming that anything off the ground works like this demo. Back to hovering my irons at the start--like you--as well.

Played yesterday and the fist few holes I went with the roll release just for comparison,couldn't hit shit,switched to the scoop and nailed everything including my putting stroke,even though I was fighting the urge to roll.The key,I think is to stop using the roll method and only use the scoop,it is a painful process but so f××××ing rewarding in the end,thanks Marcus for reestablishing what I knew all along.

Tjena Marcus, Som gammal professionell hockeyspelare har jag haft svårt att hitta en avslappnad golfsving med alla positioner och tvångsrotation. Med din hjälp har jag hittat rätt och kan äntligen slp en draw helt avslappnat. Tack😊

Smooth swing. @ 4.10 Is your stance square at address and weight towards the trail foot? Ball is just inside of the trail foot?
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad Год назад
I always have the ball further back than "normal".
@orkayen
@orkayen Год назад
I like the way you ride from the fairway. Looks like a powered four-wheel drive. Nice. So, with 50-50 weight and the ball back in the stance when we bring the club low 1foot behind the ball and high towards the ball, don't we make a thin shot? The low point should be past the ball to hit the ball first and then the turf. No? I tried your method, and I was hitting thin shots. Not sure what error I am making.
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad Год назад
The are so many things that I want to "feel" but something else happens. Timing and rotation makes everything happen further forward than I feel it should. The low point should always be after impact with irons but it's not sure that is is the feeling you have when to succeed. To swing inside and out we need to be lower and going down on the way to the ball than we are at finish.

Hey Marcus, for longer irons (6-3) are you still pushing palm down into the ball at the same amount as would would with your short wedges (PW-7). I find it easier to push palm down and scoop after with the shorter irons but in with the longer irons i do need to release to scoop sooner with my longer irons as opposed to the shorter irons. Is this a proper feel?
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad Год назад
Longer than 7-iron I think need a push along the grass not down into the grass. I think your plan is good. 👍

Any advice on how to get the divot in front of the ball? I am trying your methods but I am still having trouble getting a divot after the ball. It looks like your weight setup is behind the ball, is this correct?
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad Год назад
Hi Steve. If you get a divot you are doing it all correct but in the wrong place. We need to move the landing. Watch this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6nTk2W-AbIw.html

Marcus, ive been using your method for more than a month now.. my impact improved significantly. But i noticed that on the follow thru my hands/arms are not extending that much and dont finish high. Kinda looks like a baseball swing. What can i do to address this issue?
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad 3 месяца назад
Hi. Normally this is a lead arm problem. We need to teach the lead arm to find the way up instead of around. Start with this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9U_zmkPXE6w.htmlsi=tDyq0nh5RkN7l5Xx

Hi Marcus, I tried this, using my palm to push the ground. The feeling is good. The ball draws. Solid contact. But the distance did not increase. Any clue? How to add distance from this point?😅
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad Год назад
If you get the ball flight you like it's more about increasing speed. Try to extend the arm faster to get the club to arrive at impact with higher speed.
@ikaleris1298
@ikaleris1298 Год назад
@@GolfwithMarcusEdblad Thank you Sir. So on short irons 6-P, the release will be after impact? So the speed only comes from your hand not your wrist, right?
@jtboise1
@jtboise1 7 месяцев назад
It appears you are suggesting that we "hold the lag" at least through impact - something I know you argue against with the driver. So, is that what you're suggesting?
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad 7 месяцев назад
We don't need to hold anything but we need to decide in what order you release it. We can push down with over palm with holding it, just decide in what direction you want it to go. Holding makes us stiff and slow in my opinion. 😊
@jtboise1
@jtboise1 7 месяцев назад
Thank you. I've adopted your swing as my own and I like the results. I've not been "holding" the lag and I've had great results so I wanted clarification. Thanks again.
