Another amazing episode. Its kinda cruel that there is only one winner for each championship. Peter and Lee Chong Wei are the living legends who totally deserve the Olympic and World Championship gold medals yet what they have achieved as inspirational figure in Denmark and Malaysia is something that cannot be exchanged with any gold medal or trophy.

You can feel the HUGE respect Anders and HK have for Peter. It just transpires through the episode. Thanks and congrats for a great episode!

Peter is 46 years old here? That's amazing! He havent aged over the years and looks as handsome as he was 20 years ago. In my opinion, he's the best player along with Lee Chong Wei to have not won the Olympics and World championships. Definitely one of the most stylish and hardworking players in badminton history, so it's not surprising Peter has played till his late 30s.

Watched it from start to end, loved the enthusiasm for badminton from Peter Gade !

Great interview to get general insights in the thought process of Peter. Wish you would ask at times; "can you give an example", as it stays a bit too much on the surface. Think of; "what was the cultural difference that stood out in France", "What expectation did you have to alter when coaching others" etc.

I was in Copehngahen for a week and wanted uto visit Peter at the badmington academy which was near to where I was living but could not .its good seeing him here.

I recall Peter Gade dropping into Dublin for a U2 concert more than a few years ago and he found time to give a pep talk that lunchtime in the badminton centre in Terenure (where HKV played an exhibition match). His humility was obvious even then. To a question as to which player he had been most friendly with on the international circuit, he replied without hesitation... Lee Chong Wei.. but primarily because LCW could communicate a bit more in English than the other Asian players. I am sure he will make an excellent coach and perhaps even hold high office in BWF one day.

Gade is the guy who got me into badminton. How he pretty much was the only European MS able to compete with the top asians, and hes at times bombastic appearance, made him a rockstar in my eyes

I think this is the best interview ever. Brilliant player will likely to have the high standard for them self and I can understand Perter point of view how it’s hard for him to implement the same standard to his players… I am not an athlete but I feel you Peter. It’s pain in the ass and sometimes frustrating. But like you said, it’s a process. Love you for that.

I had the opportunity to meet Peter, when i was staying in Hilton Jakarta (Sultan Hotel Senayan) 15 years ago. I was so star struck, i forget to take photo with him eventhough i have camera with me. I live to regret the chances i didn't take, till now.
