Welcome to The Robster channel!
In this video series you will experience with me the highlight reel of some of the rebuild of this 1982 RX7. Come along for the fun and frustrations that come along with owning a rotary!
There are so many things to do!
In this video we go through the introduction of the build and showcase some work that has been done so far that was captured in the last two years. My hope is to be caught up by the springtime with the footage already captured to bring you up to speed on the build so far and what is left to do.

I have an SA22C Mazda Rx7 1980 4 speed that I bought brand new in October of 1980. The previous car I had was a 1973 Datsun 240z, and I bought the Mazda because of the similarities between the Mazda and the Datsun at that time. I thought I should have bought a Z again, but then again, I would not have bought my current Mazda in the garage. I am glad to see your car get redone. I hope you still have it. Hope to hear from you...

Sounds like a beauty of a car!! The SAs were quite nice as well! Always a fan of the 240 and also hope to own one, one day 😉👍 I had the mazda for a few years and once she was restored she was bought by another enthusiast local to me. She is being well taken care of

It was so much fun to rev to 8 grand too! Just blowing smoke everywhere lol!! The premix gave me a headache though.. wahh did it ever stink lol

@@RustedandBusted oh yeaaaah! My plan is to document it all like you did. My dad picked it up the year I was born, I’ve know the sounds and smells of this car my entire ~42 years! Bucket list to take an engine out of car, fix it up, and reinstall. Almost cheating with how much easier the little Wankel can be but it’s old, so I pray I don’t break anything!

Thats so awesome 👌 I'm sure he'd be glad to see it all brought back to new as well! Documenting the repairs and conversions takes some work but it's very worth it. I no longer have the car but I had watched the series about a week ago and brought back great memories 😁

Just going to drive and drive some more. It only has 108,000 km s on it . Just needs a little maintenance on it

sorry to jump in what are odds someone has a set of rear bins? the framing carpet lids? i'm in Kingston BTW

@@MrSchnarr all good! I dont have those pieces unfortunately. Some of that was eaten up by a rodent before i got the spare car. I do plan on a modification to the interior this year and will let you know if i part with those pieces 👍

You can see small indents on the pinch welds on the sides of the car but you need to be careful to stay within them. For the back I jacked it up on the rear differential and lifted the whole back at once 👍

@RustedandBusted thank you for the answer, but "made it worse". Cause that's more proof that this one won't hit the street for a while. (German inspection shit.) I try to get it fixed. Btw. I got another question, can you tell what's directly behind the clutch pedal and how do I get there. Cause the whole break fluid from the clutch-systsm leaks into my legroom... . (Might be a good video idea)

@johannesschilz4387 oh no! Hopefully you get a lenient inspector 🤞 Mmm yes I did change my clutch slave but it was not easy. You need to get up under the dash and look at where the linkage goes. There will be 2 nuts and a pin for the pedal. You should be able to take those two nuts off and the pin from the pedal linkage and from the engine bay you can pull the assembly towards you. Unfortunately the car has been sold my man!

Hey! Thanks for watching! The SE body is long gone now from September. It was donated to cash for trash locally. Wish I could tell you where it went but I'm not sure. I do have some SE parts ill be posting up soon that i cant use if you are in need of something.
