If I had to serve in the Legion's military hierarchy, I'd want to be a cursor. It seems like their job would enable them to be alone and moderately independent most of the time. All they'd have to is ferry legionaries to and from the headquarters. It might be a boring job, but it's better than being thrown to the meat grinder like recruits and primes. It's still an important job, though, much like how real-life truck drivers in the Army supply their bases and outposts with material. All of this would be perfect for a scrawny introvert like myself.

Personally I would shoot for a blacksmith position. Making weapons would be more my speed.

Unfortunately you’d more than likely be a conscript (unless you’re too old/weak) then dead. Even if you do rise up the ranks it’s not much of a life. Even Joshua Graham was executed (seemingly) and he was Caesars right hand. Imagine if something goes wrong and Caesar decides to make an example out of you.” As far as being a citizen I’m not sure what to expect. We need more information about how Caesar would structure his society if he takes over.

I believe the 'plates' on the vexalarus' armor were meant to be reminiscent of the medals roman were awarded.

Editors note: I use a lot of retexture mods to make these videos pretty, and as such the armors and weapons of the legionaries shown in video are not always accurate to their vanilla counterparts. Lastly, I called the HangDog tribe the HandDog tribe this whole video. Why did I do this? No clue.

Ngl I wish the Legion armor seen in this video was in the vanilla game. Something about Fallout 4 leather armor actually looks better for legionaries to wear. Except for the Centurion armor, that could stay unchanged

I'm usually a vanilla purist, but Dragbody's legion armor mod is so well made. I don't really like half of the the face changes but the the armors are my headcanon.

People have tried.. it's massive. Would take real dedication. Also there are conflicting visions. People are used to what they got. If you 100% nailed what the devs wanted, most NV fans (the ones who play NCR every single time) would be pissed. Supposedly the original idea was to make their towns like Roman towns. Stunning architecture, very clean, etc. Most people probably wouldn't recognize them.

I imagine the mongrels are akin to prime recruits as dogs are naturally good at melee combat (obviously). They too can probably advance in the ranks due to outstanding service (like Sgt. stubby in ww1 who alerted troops to gas before it would come to the trenches by barking); maybe alerting troops to mines or explosive traps would have the mongrels advance within the ranks and would earn breeding privileges as the legion would want to breed such traits into their hounds. (I wonder if that means they must salute certain Hounds of the legion, or whatever is the equivalent to saluting in the legion)

I find the underutilization of both legion mongrels and NCR guard dogs disappointing as the only time we ever see them are in larger encampments (even though the NCR allegedly has specialized canine units and the legion supposedly has a surplus of dogs in Denver.) I wish we saw them more because dogs in combat are fascinating and would make sense in post apocalyptic environments.

Very dettailed video. God job. Just a little observation: you say "vale. Amicus.", but sound like: "wuale. Amigus" 🤣, the correct pronunounce is VA - (like VA-nelsing) LE (like LE-gendary) and for "amicus", is almost identical, just change the G with a C 😂.
