Thank God I found your videos... I'll be in touch this week.! Bought a used car in IL.. I am in WI.. The dealership never sent me the title, even though I paid for it in full, with a personal check, which I have proof of. Instead, they sent me a copy of the receipt... and told me to request a new title when I register it.. I ended up registering it, had emissions done, etc.. drove it for 2 years, and tried to sell it, but I learned that I can't resell it........and it has been sitting in my driveway for the last 10 months. I called the dealership several times... Got put on hold for long periods of time.. or sent to voicemail.. They happen to be one of the biggest dealerships in IL... and I'm really shocked with their lack of service.. My DMV never mentioned anything about any sort of bond.. their secretary of state didn't help at all... Every government entity that I went to for help just passed the buck.. I'll be in touch this week..! Thank you!
When traveling in a personal conveyance( non commercial) Can a surety bond be sufficient in purposes of auto insurance ? In other words can a surety bond replace auto insurance in the event of a collision or traffic stop
You would have to pay out the value of the bond to the state. No idea what happens to the car, but you get nothing. This piece of paper is essentially a note to the state saying "yes I am telling the truth about why I need a new title, and I will pay a big penalty if I am lying".
@josegamoa2261 haven't tried yet. But I've got someone who owns a wrecker yard they r gonna do a abandonment on it. Just hoping old owner don't want it so I made it look rough with a parts car I have. Make it to expensive to get good enough to pass Inspection

No. The bond is only guaranteeing to the state that you are allowed to get a new title to replace a missing or nonexistent title. It does nothing more, and nothing less.
