Does the bank have to release the lien to the title to the dealership before the dealership can resell that vehicle? Also, what if it was salvaged title ( in missouri) are they aloud to resell a salvaged car? And then say it's $12,999...but TILA has it that you'd be paying almost $20,000 after interest...in a 72 month contract...?
I was left a vehicle from a deceased friend there isn't a title and he still owed money on the vehicle, I had his sister contact the company he bought it from and they said that I can take over payments on the vehicle or just hang onto it and they will come pick it up in 6 months or so? Am I able to get a duplicate title and take ownership of the vehicle in Indiana? I can't keep it at my residence without proper plates and registration. What can I do because if really like to be able to keep the vehicle.
My youngest sister passed on Jan 16 2021 & she has an 1999 Nissan Ailtma with a lien on the title,but the place she brought it from is out of bussines & they don't keep records over 5 yrs & she brought it back in 2014 & as far as the family knows the lien is paid off, but the lien is still on the title what do we have to do to get the lien off the title?

I want to get the Lienholder removed from the title of my vehicle, I'm not selling it, I just want them removed as the loan is paid off. I have my pink slip, signed by the lienholder in the bottom right corner, box # 2, releasing their interest in the vehicle. Would I use the transfer of title form for that? or is there a form to use strictly for removing the lienholder? Thank you for any help with this.
