Man speaks the absolute truth, especially about supermarkets. It's nice walking in, looking at the confectionery/processed meats/frozen meals sections and going "nah, that's bad", then coming out with whole foods like greens, slabs of chicken/fish/beef/pork, and getting excited thinking of new recipes to try.
March has already come around now it’s time to tighten down on the discipline and awareness this year! Start your lean journey today instead of in April or May! Good luck all enjoy the process!
This video was so important to me. After watching this video, I searched all week for information about emotional eating and the connection between food and stress. From last week to today, I have been training every day to understand what kind of hunger is calling me. If I suspect it's stress, I try to figure out where the stress is coming from. The final step was to reframe these feelings. And now. One week later. I am free of it. I lost a kilogram without counting my weight. I just tried to eat each meal for about 15 to 20 minutes until my hunger went away. Thanks Wanhee!
It would be cool if you could touch on the theory of the nine types of hunger (ears, eyes, heart etc) ❤ it's also interesting how the greek academia (Plato) and liceum (Aristotle) were built with a gym and termal bathrooms cause they valued a balanced lifestyle
eating "clean' is a bit iffy in terms of demonizing the other foods, the idea of eating more macro nutrient food is great. personally sticking to a mostly whole food with some extra food like oreos, chips, etc. Every now and then is better than not at all 😅easier said than done, But still more sustainable tbh
My cousin brother did this most of his adult life. Eat when you are hungry, sleep when you are sleepy. He was always doing things his way. Today at mid 40s he is only among his friend with no high cholesterol, bowl syndromes, diabetic, thyroid or any other health issues despite our family history. At almost 30 i have been doing intermittent fasting. Hope it will help.
Is it bad that I always look forward to the post workout meal, as a reward for myself? I justify by telling myself that at least I’ve earned it, albeit possibly defeating the purpose of my workout in the first place
Not that our ancestors didn't eat sugary stuff, they didn't eat at all. Time between hunting bringing it back to the tribe then eating/sharing together is huge. They would probably eat once/twice every 3 or 4 days.
i had to think about a saying we have in german "Süßigkeiten sind nur für den kleinen hunger zwischendurch." "Sweets are only for the little hunger in between."
I also feel that so I have strawberries and cream. If it continues I have a square of 80% chocolate, that is enough for me. Then I feel ok. I used to have bigger puddings and sweet things but I have controlled it better with berries and crème fraiche.
This morning I realised I was actually hungry and not just bored when I reached for a ham and cream cheese sandwich and an apple. But now I'm tired of working, and I really want some sugary snack 🥲
