OMG I've been looking for this song for awhile! I used to drive from San Antonio to Austin with my best friend to see this band all the time. I still have their green band shirt, after all these years.
I still have the green shirt too! But ... Stuart (guitar) is my little brother (he's doing great BTW) so of course I do. In Houston, I brought a bunch of ppl from my office to watch them open for Blood Brothers at The Engine Room. After, my coworkers (who'd not run out due to fear of hearing loss) swore that The Rise upstaged Blood Brothers and were much better. I don't think they were just saying that ;)
Just remembered this video - still amazing after all these years. Great song, really well-made video. Would love to see more stuff from whoever made it.
Saw these guys for the first time back in 2002.. One of my first real shows. They opened up for glass jaw, American nightmare, and the blood brothers. Was an amazing show! People didn't know what to make of the blood brothers, but I love those guys too!
Presha82 do you realize when this was 1st out? I saw them back in '99 or 2000 with poison the well and martyr a.d. when they were called "the teresa banks profiles" and No One sounded like this!! this record was perfect for the time.
I had to order this cd Toronto for my friend to pick up. Got she looks so good in red by remembering never. I love this cd. Now a shitload of bands sound like this and act like they came up with it!
I fucking love this song. Man good times. Good times. Its cool because alot of my graphic art was influenced by this music video and I didn't really even notice until today after watching it. Been almost 9 years!
I've always really liked this track since I first heard it I don't really get the ATR comparison, ATR didn't really have any lyrical songs, just MCs repeating a couple words to get the crowds pumped.
dude do you know whos in this band? dudes from and you will know us from the trail of dead, juliette and the licks , and other fuckin aweome bands. dont knock some of the most orginal musicians
oh man. i just realized what *2nd hand embarrassment* really feels like. this is nowhere near as good as i remembered it. oh well. at least i used to like it enough to remember it until now.
