Early umbrellas, or as they were known parasols, were designed by the Egyptians around 1000 B.C. The first models were made from feathers or lotus leaves, attached to a stick, and were used to offer shade to the nobility
*Identify the rut* - realize you are in a rut - don't be hard on yourself - find out where the rut hides *Get out of the rut* - physically get out of the rut - do a non-rut thing - congratulate yourself for getting out of the rut *Stay out of rut*
Hey mate! I appreciate this but by giving a summary of his video most people would just look at this and not watch the video. Which in turn would effect Zach's income. I hope you understand. Thank you
@@ZachHighley Zach on step two “get out of the rut” I can’t . I’m paralyzed when I’m in a rut. Is like I’m telling my self to get up but I can’t . My soul is being sucked out of me by watching Tik tok
Thanks for telling us that rut is a problem that everyone faces. A lot of people are in the wrong notion that highly successful people are just robots that don't feel human problems. "Identifying the rut" and "don't be hard on yourself" are the two of the best tips I have ever received. Thanks, Zach!!
@@gawd4940 neet? that was the biggest mistake of my life. JK. Neet screwed me two years ago and twice before that already. I'm in 2nd year med college.
once again thank you zach, I messed up many days by doing things that don't make me close to my goals. I will try to believe to myself that I can overcome it
Hey Zach! Thanks for helping me out in times when I felt I have made a mistake by taking medicine as my subject. You might know this but you have helped people so many times and I appreciate that. Keep going mate!
Hi Zach! Thank you for this video! I think a lot of people are looking ways how to stop wasting their time and start living more productive. I'm from these people. I'm really happy that I found your channel!
your channel reminds me of Dr. Mike, in the future I can't wait to see how much ur channel will grow ! btw, the editing is epic, do u have an editor? if ur doing it all by yourself, you are a legend
Zach, I loved this video but I have to say the Michael Jackson reference was somewhat triggering. He molested young children and there's a good documentary you should check out called Leaving Neverland if you aren't aware of this.
Loved your video! Been in that situation lately, though I came out. I'll gonna remember your words from your video if I find myself again in that. Blessings from India ❤😃
I can't tell how much I needed this video at this point,I'm in a hugee rut since weeks,I literally felt it's impossible to get out of this zone,my sleeping habits, eating habits, screen time is all messed. My lifestyle is gross viz, which indeed results In low self esteem and mental health issues. But thanks to you for this vid I'm beginning to feel I can overcome this easily now.
Hi Zach! I just wanted to make sure that yours jokes are really funny, and I meant it! I'm from Chile, and my first language it's not English, so I think that you had reached a big goal on making jokes that people can comprehend even when English it's not their first language 😁 Greetings!
Do we all agree that Coach Benett is the best coach ever?? and all of their guided runs are just SOOO INSPIRING!! Thanks Zach for sharing this video and all the knowledge you learn!
Your videos are amazing!! School is really tough right now but after watching this I feel motivated to start tomorrow fresh and get things done. Thanks! :)
Walking my dog is a non-negotiable "non-rutty" thing. No matter how terrible I feel, I have no choice but to do this thing. It works really well for me, and gets me moving every time.
This is a great video. Thank you so much for sharing it. I often feel like I’m the only one who gets stuck in a rut. Living on my own, far away from my family and working from home, it’s been particularly difficult during the lockdowns we have had here in the UK. Also a video can only ever be improved by a Monty Python clip. I’m definitely going to shrink my rut monster down to a rut bunny in the next few days
can give us more advice about how getting out of the rut but indoors 🙂 bcs some of us live in countries that its quite hard to go out especially if you are a girl love your content ❤
Hi Zac, I was just watching your 30 days of running video. You claimed to be a first-time runner, achieving 5-minute miles. Did you know that the Olympic record over the last ten years; for 2 miles for women is approx 9 minutes? Further, that the recent Olympic record for men is around 8 minutes for 2 miles. To put that in perspective 2 miles in 10 minutes is super fast. That's a five-minute mile-amazing for a first-time runner. That video is now over 4 months old, given your trajectory are you now on Olympic time? Or have you broken the 3-minute mile?
thanks zach for the video. i fcked up so many of my exams this year, i dont even know what happened. certainly not a feeling i'm used to. but whatever. i'll pass next time. take care xx toni
But sometimes after you have completed doing some activity (like completing your monthly exam) I like to lie on a bed and just stare at a thing with a blank mind feeling satisfied after my exams, is this considered as a unproductive thing
Not a bad move, try meditation! Try and make the bed the place for sleep. Do that staring thing at a seat or on a bench or something and see if you like it
Ive notice alot of student have a diploma know absolutely nothing I have tutored college students in the sciences i left tutoring because Tried to explain simple things in algebra after I saw they simply dont put any effort into learning .You learn from your CLASSES YOUR PROFESSORS the old fashoned way watching the professor repeating the video on computer pdf from the university.Stay of the internet
I don't know why, I clearly understand what you talk in this video mostly I can't hear detail each words what they ( a native speaker) said. Actually I'm learning english right now by own self from internet and I'm from Indonesia. Thank you for made videos that I can learning my listening skills + great content that made inspirations to being better in life, being more happy and get ride of bad things. BTW I realize that lay Down in my bed is a being my rut. I have to do something outside activities to change my habit. 🙏😀
Hey Zach ...I downloaded Anking deck V9 ..I feel like it has less Content I guess . Do I need to own BB , pathoma to unlock more cards. And can I download other decks along with Anking deck ?
The reason why we (supporters/fans) love you is bcoz You is You. You somehow understand us and know what will help us. Other productive RU-vidrs shows only productivity but what about otherside of the coin? And so much productivity sometimes make you feel bad about yourself :) Anyway Thank you Zach for Existing :D -3-
One of the things that make me most happy Zach is watching your videos. Yes, they’re always full of great and very practical advice but there’s just something about them that always leaves me feeling happier and more positive about life. Thank you.
Thank you so much for all these wonderful videos. I have an exam in December and it’s kind of a career make or break for me, and I have been going CRAZY ANXIOUS about it, I basically felt hopeless and started doubting if I am even fit to take the exam. But your videos inspire me so much, thank you for putting out all this amazing content! New subbie here! Oh and PS, that MJ cameo was cool, should’ve left it in, haha
This is the MOST helpful video I think I’ve ever seen. I truly mean that. *Actual* practical and specific steps. Thank you! Looking forward to putting these steps into place and leaving my rut spot and finding a non-rut activity.
I recognize that book held upside down: The Elements of Style! 😁 This video’s brilliant in specifying the factors that put us in a rut. When we say we “feel down or sad for no reason,” maybe we have yet to identify what led us to that rut. I found mindless scrolling on social media vacuums time and energy, same with staying in bed longer that would derail me from my schedule. Also important to remember is motivation won’t magically fall on our lap. We feel better when we act differently-not that we will act differently if we feel better.
Hey! New to your channel really loving the way you enjoy your study I'm a pre med an year to go. Nd u have an amazing hand on editing man!!!!👏🏻Love in it⭐
I always thought of my ruts as a separate entity deriving from my exhausted state, tempting my entire focus to shift from extreme concentration to hazy sleepiness that lasts hours, even days. Even when I study, even when I rest, the opposing guilt-driven anxiety is there. It's a normal human thing to experience and it seems to work in pretty simple ways, but it's not easy to evade. I mostly just take an extremely long nap and start studying again after I wake up. Seems to always work like a charm.
Thanks for another great video, Zach! I was thinking of going to the library because my desk at home is more of a youtube/netflix chill zone now. I am taking this as a sign to go.
