Saw The Shadows live several times during the late '70s & early '80s and would not have missed that for the world but, wow, wish I'd witnessed them playing those Burns guitars. Another level.
Great live version of song from shadows 67 album, nice to see the burns come out and mark Griffith, another good video is the black and white one with John Rostill
For anyone not aware...the whole set of SIX songs the Shadows submitted for the Eurovision (mid-70s) is on RU-vid. They were shown on the Lulu show, with viewers choosing their fave, the winning song being "Let Me Be The One".....which wouldn't have been my choice! Check them out, some great songs, including, "No, No, Nina"......"Stand Up Like A Man"......"Cool, Clear Air" and "This House Runs on Sunshine"!!!!
Terrific video of their best vocal piece. I agree, in the solo it's rare to see no tremolo use by HM. Perhaps it was jammed :-) ? It made for a much more inventive solo. I thought ... but less "Shadows" style, Great stuff!
