The final guy was funny I love how he says he was in a rush and then he proceeded to hop out of his car and argue with two random strangers for at least 15 minutes
Same thing happens so often in traffic. Some jerk cuts you off or makes some insane manoeuvre to then start harassing you if you dare to react in the tiniest way. I'm always like... dude, if you're in such a hurry, just keep moving in the direction you were heading 🤷♂️
1st guy: *acts all tough, tries to square up and yells* Also 1st guy: “I’m scared!” “I feel threatened!” “You’re threatening me and I fear for my life!”
@@joepickford6219 I don’t know if it works for everyday people, but most cops who’ve been put on trial for shooting someone while on duty have been acquitted based on their testimony saying they felt threatened at the time. Of course the cops don’t have to shout “I’m scared!” before they shoot someone.
Naw as a young boy his whole family and three other ones were all killed in a tragic crash caused by a stray cart and since that day he has vowed vengeance to find the man who let his cart go astray
They ALWAYS end up doing way more physical exertion than they would have if they had just put the cart away. Mfs getting out their car and chasing him all over the lot instead of just putting the shit away lmao
They want to justify their actions instead of admitting they were wrong. If a person cannot do something as simple and easy as putting their cart back (without a valid reason) they are probably not the type of person to look inwards and admit to a fault
Nah that’s what happens when you encounter someone harassing you over a cart. These people aren’t really that dedicated to not putting a cart back but if someone comes up to you and starts a fight like 30% of people will dig deeper and fight back. He doesn’t handle things productively he just tries to rile people up because it’s funny
great way to weed out the adult children, if u ever wanna see someone's true character call them out for something they did wrong and see how they react
As a cart attendant, it can get very annoying to have to deal with stray carts out in the lot. So I always appreciate it when people put their cart back, it makes it easier when they’re all in one spot.

@@sophieterry8175 Hey, good luck approaching random people. It's an excellent way to get stabbed. If you haven't noticed how much EVERYONE is edgy in USA, you're pretty blind to your surroundings.
There seems to be a misconception about Cart Narcs. The Cart Narcs "people" is actually only one person, Sebastian, who impersonates several different characters for the purpose of comedy. The whole Cart Narc thing is actually for a segment on a radio morning show that he is employed at called The Woody Show. The audio of his encounters is played about biweekly on the show as part of his segment which he commentates on. He has several other funny segments for the show as well, but generally people should understand that the whole Cart Narcs thing is purely for entertainment value, though the encounters are real
@@notofuse8549 True. But.. since about 2020 have you noticed how everyone is on edge? Just ready to snap? I wouldn't approach ppl and bug them over petty shit, especially women. If he gets chin checked, it's his own fault. Just like they could have returned carts in all that wasted time, he can too. But views.. money.. content. There's a lady on my street who, quietly and unobtrusively, cleans up dogshit and cig butts. She's more effective in shaming ppl into doing it themselves than this dude. AND she's not risking being stabbed or attacked. I just wouldn't step on absolutely anyone's nerves at this point in USA. Maybe it's the same for other countries, maybe not. But it seems everyone's been going through some shit of their own.. and we don't know what that is for each person. Be careful. Be smart. There's healthier ways of both making money AND being a good person. Literally just talk to someone online, help them thru whatever they're going through .. you'll make a friend for life. It's that easy. But people who do that don't get paid .. all they have is the satisfaction of being an actual good person.
"People get paid to put the carts up". Yeah, they don't get paid per cart. They get paid the same amount, no matter how many carts there are. So do your tiny part to make their day a bit better
Sounds to me like you do actually don't know how much a car person actually makes they make more than then cashiers in other people do in the store because they actually do more than just the cards they're basically technicians for the store they do all the odd jobs that are easy so they basically have a lot more jobs than a normal person so they get paid a lot more than normal people do why don't you do some research before you spew stupid shit on the internet
So yeah do some research if you actually do your research you'll see that car pushers make 14.53 dollars an hour That's more than most people make in an hour if they can't push the carts back then they're just lazy bums who shouldn't be doing that job
Not to mention, they aren’t magicians. They can’t magically teleport to every cart the second it’s left out. The time it takes for someone to walk out there, find the cart, get to the cart, and put it where it needs to be, the cart can roll into other people’s cars, damaging vehicles, they block the spots for other people to park, and they block walkways for elderly and handicapped people. It’s such an awful excuse to not put the cart away. They have the cart corrals for a reason.
Whenever I hear someone playing the "you're threatening me" "I'm fearing for my life" I automatically assume they're setting up for a "justified" shooting so to speak.
@@vectorequinox6202 this is not true lol simply saying that you feel scared does not justify a shooting. Cart narc has his GoPro on recording the entire interaction. There are objective standards to prove that a reasonable person could fear for their life. In no court in no city in no state in the United States of America could a shooting be justified here. Absolutely none. He would be guilty of 2nd degree murder at the very least. Cart narc did and does everything in his power to dispel any concern of him being a threat. He clearly announces himself and who he is, he states what his goal is, he asks politely, and anytime someone walks towards him, he steps away. No reasonable person would fear their life in that situation. It meets absolutely no objective standard needed to be considered a threat. And even if it WAS considered a threat, you would have to reasonably believe that if you don’t pull the trigger, your life is in immediate danger. Someone standing completely still 10 feet away, even if they are standing there in a threatening way, you wouldn’t be able to shoot. Because unless they make a movement towards you, you can simply walk away from said person. In most states, if you have every opportunity to flee, you have a duty to retreat before attempting lethal force. And even in the states that have stand your ground laws, there must be an immediate threat to your life. There clearly isn’t a threat to his life. Just saying you feel scared doesn’t create the situation necessary for lethal force.
@@PtylerBeats Florida has a "stand your ground" law. If you say you are threatened and they continue to move towards you then legally you are "standing your ground" if you fire your gun. Not to say a judge or jury couldn't decide that the shooter was clearly looking for trouble.
Since cart narc is only asked questions and never blocks or restrains anyone from leaving he’s 100% legal to do what he wants in the situation. I love the channel. There is actually a couple different guys that do this on the channel.
They don’t block people, but they followed 2 women home after they stole a cart, and that is just too far. If you’re that concerned call the cops. Don’t follow people home and harass them. They 100% go over the line sometimes. They’ve also called homeless people “permanent lazybones,” so there’s that. I really don’t think they care about people putting their carts away as much as they care about escalating situations to get views.
It's actually only one person. He does different voices as different cart narc "characters". This is actually all for his segment on a radio show that he is on called the Woody Show
i used to work cashier at a dollar tree, a chain known for only ever really having one worker on the clock at any given time. also we barely had any carts. every time someone left one out in the parking lot i'd have to sprint out the front door, wrestle it out of the grass, and run it back before someone walked up to my register and yelled at me. i got paid 8.50 an hour. honestly this feels a bit vindicating.
my friend didn’t put his cart back at dollar tree and i had to go fix it for him after giving him a look of shame, may he never commit such atrocities to the almighty $1.25 people again
Pro tip: if someone is filming you and you want to claim that you’re scared while simultaneously approaching the individual who is “scaring” you, then police and courts will rule that you in fact were not scared.
As a former shopping cart worker, it makes the job much better when people put the carts where they are supposed to be because then we don't have to make detours to chase single carts when we walk our route
People like to say “but that’s your job” as i ran around drenched in sweat, trying to clean up an entire parking lot by myself and having people being annoyed I’m taking too long or that a cart is in their space. Only once did I sass back an older lady who saw me panting and dripping with sweat and said “really? No small carts? Come on” and I said “see that corral 100 ft away? It has small carts, if you want one you can grab one”. Also the “it’s their job” line always made no sense to me cause I could shit on the floor of the produce section and that is someone’s job to clean up but I’m still not gonna shit on the floor anyway lol
@@bobbyshores Exactly. Just because that's a part of somebody's job doesn't mean you have to be an idiot. Just be a decent human being and if there's something that demands very little from you and makes somebody's job much easier then do it
@@bobbyshores the "it's someone's job" excuse is such a shitty one. Like how fucked up do you have to be to try and justify your shitty behavior to try and validate someone cleaning up after you.
I don’t just put my own cart away, I will grab any carts that are left out AND properly organize the cart parking area because how hard is it to properly stack carts together. Like we all know little cart goes in little cart, big cart goes in big cart. It’s not becoming a charity or solving world hunger but it makes someone’s day just the slightest bit easier.
Cart returners krew 💪 A few years back I had to run into a grocery store with my dog cos there was a sudden tornado, it was NOT fun to dodge flying shopping carts. Those little bastards can cause some real damage
It’s insane the way people try to treat the cart attendants. I was a cart attendant for a year and people just show you no respect at all. I worked at Walmart and the job description says to take the carts out of the corals. Obviously the other workers let me know that some people just leave their carts in parking spaces or on the curb and we’ll have to get those sometimes too. The shitty thing is if one of those carts that’s left in a space hits another car, it’s US (the cart attendants) that get reprimanded. People have no joke gotten fired and gotten cuts to their paycheque due to damages to a customer’s car. Customers have thrown garbage into the carts that I was dragging back while my back was turned and tried to cuss me out bc a cart that was left out my a different customer almost hit their car. And when gunner says to leave the carts on the curb, don’t do that either it’s a lot more difficult to bring them down off of there if you’re taking more than one cart at once (which you have to do). Basically, it sucks that people are shitty and leave their carts all over in the lot bc “you’re getting paid to clean up after me”. I’m getting paid minimum wage; the same as the greeters that literally just stand by the door all day but my consequences for damage to your car are more dire. Just put your carts away there’s so many corals in the parking lot and it makes the cart attendant’s job easier, especially when they have to work all day outside in the heat or snow.
Obviously if I saw someone with a clear disability or an elderly person I’d walk up to them and bring their cart back for them but it’s just a kindness thing to bring your own cart back to a coral.
I'm disabled and oftentimes have to use a cane (everyone one in a while a walker) to get around when I'm having mobility issues. I ALWAYS put my cart back because it's just coming decency, and my sister who has Down Syndrome and Autism worked at a local grocery store (I'm from Alaska) and it used to infuriate me when I'd see her or her friends (who also have with Down Syndrome or Autism) would be struggling to wrangle all the carts IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER because some lazy middle aged soccer Mom who peaked in high school was too lazy to do so. *Also, the biggest offenders (besides the above mentioned wine-o'clock memorabilia collectors)* *were teenagers (funny enough, usually girls who were literally just younger versions of the aforementioned women😂)*
I don't know why all the stores don't do the leave a quarter, take a quarter like some stores do. It's so annoying having to move carts so I can get my dad's wheelchair to him. Even when he only had two half feet he still walked his carts back to the return from the back of the parking lot because he refused to park in a handicap space until he absolutely needed to. C'mon people, don't take your mobility for granted. Be grateful that you have the ability to return your carts. It's so infuriating.
I love that Gunnar is appreciating the humour but also being a bit more critical of the sketchy sides of these kinds of videos. It’s cool making sure people do the right thing, but sometimes “an eye for an eye” and all…
@@Stingerman100 Unfortunately very true. I can’t believe how weird the internet has gotten, exacerbated by being able to earn money if you draw enough attention from people online.
I spoke with a cop about the car thing. You can kick someone's car but, as long you you don't scratch or dent it, it's legal and you can't be charged. At least in Chicago.
Honestly they (cart narcs) should be glad nothing serious has happened to them. They have had a gun encounter in Texas, and the officers politely told him stop messing with people. But hey sometimes that stove is hot but you still gotta double triple check, right🤦
I'm convinced this dude's gonna get murked (or at least chin checked) one day. You don't wanna mess with people nowadays. Everyone's on edge since 2020 (+inflation rising but salaries not). Just don't approach random ppl - especially women. Do not accost anyone for random reasons like a cart. In the grand scheme of life, that's such a small petty thing. He could have returned each cart as well as the others, just to be a good person & help out. And, if he did it in front of them, without a word, he'd probably be a little more effective in shaming them into doing it themselves. Set an example, if you can. Don't be a views hog .. don't be another Jaystation, Nicocado Avocado, RiceGum, and all the others who do questionable stuff for views. There are more honest & noble ways to achieve same thing he's doing - without following women home just coz they didn't return a fckn cart. I don’t know Cart Narc well, but I appreciate the way his effort addresses the challenges that can make a disabled person have an additional challenge, and I hope that he’s informed on how very common invisible disability is and how inaccessible diagnosis can be. For some people whose conditions you can’t see, even the additional walking to put away their cart is energy stolen from the rest of the day that they struggle to get through.
I think the reason he gets the reactions he gets is because they know they are in the wrong and get called out on it. It's a major blow to the ego when someone calls you out on camera. Ive watched tons of his vids and if you watch they spend so much time arguing with him, chasing him around the parking lot etc. when they could have walked 20ft. The ego is a crazy thing
I literally had hand surgery that made it painful to push a cart around and I STILL took it to the cart return! I get that some people run out of spoons by the time they get to their car, but it's such a small % of people that I feel like *generally* we can assume people are able to put their cart back.
One thing I'll say about the bumper sticker is that someone who might not know any better (i.e. the numbskull in the first clip) could assume it's a tracker and use that as a reason to escalate to violence.
I’m so torn in this because I HATE when ppl don’t put their carts away but cart narc is so obnoxious it’s making me cringe lol He’s definitely not legally in the wrong or even like, morally in the wrong. But I can’t imagine the employees who work at the stores enjoy the conflict that comes with his antics lol. Even if other ppls reactions aren’t necessarily his fault. I think there’s definitely a point where he should just be walking away instead of poking ppl who are clearly unhinged and dangerous lol
Same, I'm surprised the comments are so strongly in favour of him. It's one of those things where yeah he's technically in the right, but he just drags it out way too long and does it obnoxiously. And like, seeing something stuck in one wheel and not trying to get it out himself but pointing it out to the employees bugged me lol. They don't have time for that, you're the one following people around a carpark arguing with them, you do it

lol putting things on others peoples car could be vandalism and that is definitely enforceable. But the magnet would have to do at least 20$+ of damage to make a case in civil court. So unlikely the man could do much, and cops likely wouldnt press the charges either
Yeah I specifically meant bumper magnets tho I realize I said bumper stickers. Going excessive / causing damage would be vandalism from what I’ve read. The trespass argument just seems like a non starter legally. But hey idk shit it’s just what I read online
@@gunnartvlive Trespass is very strange since there doesn’t have to be knowledge that you are doing so. If you step onto a field in the middle of nowhere and it’s some weirdos back road he can still technically sue you if he’s petty enough. So I bet if they made enough of a stink it could like be filed and maybe get settled. He works for a radio show right? So I suppose he could be sued with the intention of settling.
It’s a magnet. It’s not even a hard plastic magnet. It’s a flimsy rubber magnet that does no damage. In cart narcs case, it’s not even close to vandalism. However, tossing magnets on people’s vehicles CAN be vandalism if you vandalize their vehicle in the process. Putting something on someone’s vehicle itself isn’t vandalism. It needs to cause actual damage as you said. But at that point, the act of putting something on the car isn’t the vandalism. It’s damaging the property that’s vandalism. This is like saying not to touch other people’s houses because you could damage them. Like… yeah… sure. You COULD damage the house. But touching the house isn’t vandalism until you vandalize the house. So it’s a weird comment to even make.
@@lindenm.9149this isn’t true. Trespassing in almost every single state requires the intent and knowledge that you aren’t allowed on the property. You need to be warned and given a clear warning to not come onto or come BACK onto to a property. “To commit criminal trespass, you must: (1) intentionally enter onto someone else's property; (2) without the owner's consent; and (3) remain on the property until you are removed.” Once being asked to step off, you have the opportunity to step off before committing criminal trespass. However, I have no idea how that applies to vehicles. I very much doubt that you could make a case for someone trespassing a vehicle by merely touching it. I imagine you would need to reach inside of it or remain on top of it in some way.
I do think him filming them is something to get rightfully upset about whether it's legal or not. The irony in advocating for minding your own business is that you have to get into someone else’s business to tell them to mind your business. If you were an advocate for minding your business, you have no issue with cart narc doing what he does because it’s none of your business
@@hazyhalfmoonokay let’s think about that for a second. If my car does get scuffed, it becomes my business as my property has been damaged. If I see them I can confront them. This is hilarious. They’re willing to stand there and argue w him or chase him across the parking when they’re “in a hurry” but it would’ve been so much faster to just put the damn cart away. I always return my cart so I don’t have to worry about the Cart Narc “harassing” me 🤣
He’s a radio host. He does this for a segment. It’s risky, sure. He could definitely get hurt if someone flies off the handle, but the law is on his side.
I have challenged people before. It’s rude to not put the cart away. My area can get some really bad wind. I’ve seen unsecured carts go flying across the parking lot. One time it hit a car and left a huge dent. Imagine if that had been a child or a frail elderly person.
