Dr Thum, thank you for sharing your knowledge. All laws can be repealed in Singapore. Since you are dead against many of the current laws, I strongly request that you form a political party, strong enough to command at least a simple majority in the legislative (our House of Parliament) so that all seemingly unjust laws can be repealed by your party and the seemingly just laws can be enacted by your party. As there are possibly 5 years to the next General Election, there is more than enough time to start all necessary political endeavours now. You have consistently made many Singaporeans believe and feel that Singapore needs brilliant people like you, so please help more Singaporeans by embarking this journey now, so that realisation of your vision of Singapore can be achieved in the next General Election! If Loh Thia Khiang or Pritam Singh, who disagree with the govt, were to be featured on Skype in a closed door mtg, I'm pretty sure that's fine. You have a tendency to make sweeping assumptions. Btw did you and Sudhir Vadaketh go to the same acting school? The similarity in style and discourse is uncanny.

Might want to consider removing or shortening the opening scene, while it was interesting for the first time I don't think people want to spend extra time fast forwarding subsequent videos.

I'm a little confused as to why Mr Thum is focusing so much on Singapore. I'm sure he could be doing greater things like lobbying against the Rohingya crisis, the war in Yemen, global public health issues and (if it's about big government), media suppression in Eritrea. He could impact so many more lives, rather than the lives of a bunch of fairly unfit, money-minded Singaporeans who are in no danger of starvation or diseases. So why not take this energy and channel it to solve pertinent global crises?

if Osama bin Laden was still alive today, and was invited to a close door Skpe forum for SG audience, you'd probably take the govt to task for banning it. Bin Laden was fighting for his version of "freedom" too. SG govt not afraid to draw the line while risk being ridiculed by armchair critics.

Using USA as the yard stick, Singapore system is far more fair. Millions of eligible blacks are denied chance to vote by US government machinery. In Singapore everyone gets to vote. The fact that WP succeeded in Aljuneid shows the system is fair enough. But very few candidates are as good as Mr Low and Mr Chiam.
