The Stand - Book Review - NO SPOILERS! 

A very dangerous book. Especially if you drop it on your toes and you're not wearing shoes.

I'm spending my time in Covid19 lockdown reading this book.

Such an intelligent review! I really enjoy listening to someone so articulate and engaging.

fun fact: The only reason the original version was cut by nearly 400 pages, was due to the fact that the publisher couldn't physically print a book that large. It was too big to bind.

I love your review, the stand and IT are my favorite stephen king (he's my fav author too), and im currently reading the stand for the third time, and i always fall in love with the book. Its really a masterpiece

Hello, I just finished The Stand. I thought it was amazing. SK kills off just the right characters to make the story extremelt sad but then makes others succeed to create a perfect balance. I loved The Stand.

Hello, I like your description, nowadays I´m at the 700 of 1585 pages of a spanish version, and you are right , the most important thing in this book it is not the end, it is the jorney and evolution of every character. Ironically has on the cover a "pocket version" legend haha.

I've been reading a lot of Stephen Kings books lately and have been interested in this book for quite some time. This review was amazing and I can't wait to get my hands on The Stand.

The stand is easily my favorite book of all time. I was so happy at its length and pacing because I wanted to stay in that world with those characters for as long as possible. In that way it kind of spoiled me for most any other books of this kind because when I’m sucked I totally I any other character/world driven books even if they’re decent in length I always walk away feeling slightly disappointed that I couldn’t stay longer. Regardless, I highly recommend this book as well and if you haven’t read it, reading it during a pandemic certainly hits much different. I’m re-reading it now and it feels very different in Covid/post-COVID times

I read this back in the day when I was a security guard amazing book and story the book is so much better than the movie
