You just radiate coolness, bro. Taking small pieces of your recipes to integrate into my diet until I'm ready to jump into the vegan lifestyle. Hope your growth takes you to the stars!
Wow, that is a beautiful “party on a plate”! Nice combination of flavors and the candied pecan! Yummy! I like my mangos cut in cubes and do the same method as you. Thanks for sharing the story about your Mom. Happy Sunday ❤
I made this for a party (sans cucumber and avocado), and it was awesome! It's beautiful, has a great balance of flavors, and the whole salad disappeared. My sister liked it so much that she's making it for a BBQ today.
Had this salad for dinner tonight. We all loved it (specially the kids). Here is my feedback if anyone is interested. I say peel the mango first and slice after. In stead of curry powder for the pecan nuts perhaps something more spicy like spicy smoked paprika powder. Or use salty pistachios. For the rest; two thumbs up from us 👍👍
Thank you for the salad of my dreams. It is the essence of summer - when all the produce is the best it can be. I just picked some cucumbers from my container garden, and my CSA has the first sweet corn of the season as well as rocket. I will have to swap out the pecans for either almonds or pistachios, because that is what I have. But no matter, I’m still calling this the salad of my dreams!
@@thenarddogcooksI know this is a year old so I have no idea whether you’ll see this or not, but I thank you again for the best salad I’ve ever made. It hits all the best notes of savory, sweet, a tiny bit spicy, sour, and it’s just perfect. Now that sweet corn and berries are in season again, I’m back to making this salad. I’m growing my own cucumbers and greens, so I’m getting creative with them. My first salad I used mulberries from a tree I didn’t even know was in my yard until a few months ago (I’ve lived here 25 years, embarrassing) and pink mizuna, which was just as delicious as my salads from last year’s growing season. I’ve made so many of your recipes that have become family staples, but this will likely always be my favorite. So thank you for your creativity; you made an old(er) person very happy.
This salad looks so delicious and colorful 😋 getting ready to make your tomatoe soup for the third time😊 made the naan (like bread )last week love it 😀 having dental work done soon eating soft things right but going to make this after 😢 have a good weekend ❤🎉😊
I'm new to your channel and I'm so glad I stumbled upon these videos! I just made this salad and it was sooo delicious. 🥲 I also already tried the Turkish chickpea salad and it was sooo good as well. Thank you so much for sharing these recipes! You have a gift.
1) LOVE; the Mom stories. Never get enough! I'm sure we could be like dudes on a porch swapping Mom stories all day. 12 inch machete?... BAHAHAHAHA! DYING!! 2) DID YOU EVER IMAGINE... That a baby whisk would become a character in your videos? 3) MAPLE SYRUP... So many people think it's just for pancakes. I go through a 64oz jug about every four months. None of it gets put on a pancake. And don't even come at me with the maple flavored, corn syrup garbage! 4) The mango and corn on the grill.... I was like; YAAASSSSSSS! That's gunna hit! 5) IN SEASON!!!! It never really came together for me until I started Plant-Based cooking. Produce that comes "in season" together, belong together in their flavor profiles! Speaking of "in season" and Moms... I know yours is secretly getting geared up for mailboxes full of zucchini! BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! PEAAAAACCCCCCCCE!
"produce that comes in season together, belong together" - that is one solid quote! MOM STORIES ON THE PORCH!!! sounds like the best podcast ever! and yes we would be there ALL day! She has no idea the drive by zucchinis action that is about to go down! leaving some extra for the mailman too 😂
Dear Andrew Bernard, I really love your recipes and your stile.😍😍😍 May I ask Would You be so kind to explain the recipes while You Cook please? It would be much more easier that I don't have to watch the screen continually if I rush with cooking.Thank You if it possible.😍😍😍 Greetings from Hungary.😍
I'm anxious to try this one as I've got two mangoes ready to go. Thanks for the grilling tips. Can you suggest an avocado replacement because they really aren't a favorite?😊
you're welcome! as for a avocado swap, you can leave it out or add pinto/white beans, dollops of a nut butter, cooked and sliced pumpkin, butternut squash. hope those help!
I bought two baby whisks from Amazon and the arrived safe and sound. My toddler daughter stole them and is currently using the suckers in her play kitchen😂.
Arugula has so much flavour, it's great in a salad. Sadly, I am one who cannot stand the taste of fruit with greenery. What was the white bit that we saw on the salad at the end?
Oooh that looks so good! It's so relaxing watching you cook and the angle of your camera and the music is perfection! I've told some young cooks is that the music you want to represent yourself with because it was so vulgar? So glad you're not!
It's like you saw the salad I made for the Summer Solstice and said, "Yeah, but what if you, like, added a mango-corn salsa, only grilled?" Sir, I heed you.
I love your videos and absolutely beautiful and delectable recipes. But I have very sensitive digestion and many of these combinations would put me in digestive isolation. I've learned through Ayurveda and other methods how to prepare/combine foods to be more digestible. Some people might appreciate occasional suggestions or alternatives that might help with digestability, if that is an issue...Keep up the great work! Thank You!
I am sure that your mom, like my mom, grew up where nothing was wasted. Hence her mango peeling expertise. Lol. I remember my mama saving and boiling bones to make a soup, and adding veggies. When I was young, I thought ugghh... and now, they call it bone broth....
Please don't cut towards your hand; it's not safe! I had to take my Mom to the emergency room for stitches after she had been cutting that way for over thirty years.
I find it hard to taking this guy seriously with this beard, it looks and unhygienic to me. He’d not be hired at a restaurant that needs to follow sanitary guidelines.
