I love how the court presents Terry’s holiday pics as serious evidence while he smiles as if we are all going through his photo album of beloved memories 😂😂😂
I wanted to comment something similar but I’m a bit late to this one lol. I’m almost 25 and was diagnosed with fibromyalgia last year, yet this old ass man has travelled to more places with more physically demanding activities than I have done or will do in my half-century difference of life. Thinking I should change my study path to optometry…

I was half expecting the judge to say "Ya you're exempted from the ski thing but we are going to arrest you for Goop" This would have been the good ending.
When they were showing the pictures of Terry's activities throughout the past few years, as it kept getting better and better I was expecting the next picture to be like Terry doing a handstand on a surfboard while riding a 30 foot wave in Hawaii, followed by a picture of him wrestling a bear while smiling and giving the camera a thumbs up. Something like that XD This whole thing seems like it would've been on a GOOD snl skit lmao
Big respect to Gwyneth for suing for 1$. She knows shes winning and decided not to ruin this man's life by requesting hundreds of thousands. 95% of actors would've 100% sued for way more.
It's a common thing to sue for 1 Dollar because you have to tell some amount in that case. Also the amount she could have gotten is not worth the reputation hit if she already has like 200 million net worth
i know this is the absolute bare minimum but it seems like the rich can't even give us that most of the time. at least her soul is still slightly in tact
Holy crap, Terry is in his mid 70's? She must have hit him so hard it knocked him back in time or realigned his chakras or something, cause he looks pretty damn healthy for a guy pushing 80.
That man is a hero, still having the courage to travel and do cool stuff even after a debilitating accident and despite being turned into a shut in, his pics should be turned into "what's your excuse?" motivational posters tbh
@@channelhasbeensuspended3986 I believe in around 2014 the author/artist was said to have traced some work (probably true, not 100% sure) but there's still 12 light novel volumes of the story out and still being released. there is hope!!
The trial ends with "Terry is, in fact, that short and weak", and bringing in his kindergarten teacher to reveal that he also ate glue and peed his pants was a masterful legal tactic and moment of legal drama.
@@whitesox2 Wtf does that even mean? I don't even have a Discord, I'm gay and I hate talking to most people. I listen to RU-vid while I work, study and care for my zoo of animals. I don't know where that came from just because I said "nope". Weird, my dude.
The $1 thing isn't anything abnormal. They need to countr-sue for an amount of money, so they just do $1 when they're not actually seeking money but must counter. This actually happens in the Depp trial, too
Yeah, I was shocked that Charlie didn't seem to know about this as I thought it was common knowledge - but it seems it is relatively obscure for how common a practice it is
Thanks for mentioning this. All of this is a publicity stunt that was engaged by both parties. Please don’t feed the dumbasses more than they’ve already demanded.
I can see Terry becoming an Internet personality and his whole thing is he does whacky stuff and then goes "well it was the other person in my body" *canned laughter*
I'm surprised he remembered all those events. I figured it must have been his other personality taking control of his body even though he was severely injured.
it seemed like terry was unaware that they were trying to disprove his case but instead thought it was a nice trip down memory lane revisiting all the places he’s traveled lol
Terry intrigues tf outta me 😂 Imagine if those photos of him just got more and more ridiculous as they went “and is this you Terry skydiving into and competing in a triathlon?” Terry: uh.. yes, I do believe that’s me 😅
“Terry is this you suplexing an adult grizzly bear? And is this you in this photo, swinging a saltwater crocodile fully off the ground by its tail?“ “Yes, yes it is.”
Lawyer : Terry, is this you winning the world chess tournament? Terry : Umm uh... yes. Lawyer : Terry, is this you saving these kids from a house on fire? Terry : Not sure that I can tell... Lawyer : You went in SPACE last summer? Terry : ...
For me, one of the key evidence was the brain scan which showed brain abnormalities years before the accident. His medical records also stated that he was undergoing treatment for anxiety/ depression for years prior to that accident. So even if GP did ski into him, which wasn’t the case, TS didn’t prove that his neurological and psychological deterioration were solely due to a mild concussion several years ago skiing.
I watched the case and I felt sorry for Sanderson. Although his case didn't have any legs to stand on, the man really felt wronged and a big theme that arose from the case was Sanderson coping with the realty that he is aging and that his body is failing him. This is why Paltrow went over to him and said, " I wish you well", because she too felt bad for him.
@@copypaste3680 what do you mean? The probable cause of events is that he hit her and then she fell on top of him. The man had osteoporosis, people break ribs falling out of bed. And if he is the one who hit her, then his broken ribs are not her fault.
I don’t know if anyone’s done Whitewater river rafting, which is depicted in the photograph, but out of everything he did that right there, completely dissolve the case for me.if you’ve ever done Whitewater river rafting that you know how physically intensive that is.
The $1 is a "nominal damages" thing. Basically saying "I don't need the money but I'm going to make a statement." A fairly respectable thing to do by a celebrity with millions of dollars already.
Paltrow's lead counsel guy has a knack for being able to insult you in the worst way possible while sounding like the nicest guy in the world while he's doing it.
5:18 I love that the lawyer not only didn't do any research into what the pictures were but also sounds like he's seeing some of them for the very first time
Imagine being afraid to do anything because of the fear that someone will attempt to set you up and sue you for your money. Must be an uneasy feeling all the time.
This is like when two people start arguing and bringing up dirt on each other to the point you forget what they’re arguing about then at the end you’re like “oh yeah, skiing”.
Charlie doesn't stop bi**ing lately, every bit of his content lately is "This person/corporation is horrible". At this point he is just a better behaved leafy.
@@gracegirl1086 Haha yeah, it's like she was trying her best to look shocked but was actually trying not to laugh with how bad that made him look. For a famous actress she had some of the worst sympathy-acting I'd ever seen in a trial, way worse than Amber. She's lucky his defense was so whack lolol
@@mollusckscramp4124 I'm not a GP fan, but I don't think she was sympathy acting. She knows shes on camera and most the people there are only really interested in watching her. She has a real opinion: "this is all bullshit, what a $%#$ of a man" level opinion likely. But she also knows she has a career and doesn't want to damage her reputation severely. Amber Heard put on a sympathy dance because that was basically her entire defense. It was integral to the outcome for her: "I need people to believe I am a victim" GP didn't NEED sympathy. She just had to let the strong evidence speak for itself. Her job was to try her best to conceal her true emotion: Anger. I don't think you saw sympathy acting. I think you saw someone awkwardly trying to put a face of "neutrality" on while her subconscious mind was seething / feeling awkward. You end up with a weird looking mixed emotion face haha. Acting, on the other hand, is a lot easier because you don't have to actively conceal a true emotion you are feeling. They are focused in the moment on the role they are taking. They don't have all these external factors pressuring them like you see in a court room. It's like if you stand alone in the bathroom making faces at yourself. It's not hard to do. Now try making a serious face while your friend stands next to you cracking hilarious jokes. You'll end up with the same weird face GP had lol.
A professional doubted if he even sustained any form of concussion at all, no major brain damage, no new minor brain damage, no symptoms of concussion, key factors went against it as well, as he was drinking heavily after the incident, something a concussed person struggles with a lot, he got "worse over time" which is not indicative of brain damage either
24 hours since a Charlie upload. I am fiending. Everything is cold. It’s all becoming so dark. I hear the pounding of a starved and broken heart over all else. I need my fix, Charlie. You can’t do this to me Charlie.
When Gwen's lawyer was pulling out all of those pics of his trips it was all over lol. That dude has done more activities in his 60s than a lot of people do in a lifetime
I half expected the attorney to pull out more photos of Terry in the oddest places, like him piloting a Gundam in one photo and another of him punching out Perfect Cell.
Asking for $1 is called asking for "nominal damages", and it is extremely common. It shows that the person doesn't care about money and wants to win based principle.
I still love the idea of Charlie being in Terry’s situation and his lawyer asking Gwyneth, “You’ve stated you were shoved by a large man,” Gwyneth, “Yes” “And you believe that large man to be my client?” Gwyneth, “Yes” “No further questions”
Judge: "well as we can all see, Mr. Charles White is in fact a manlet and cpuld most likely qualify for reclassification as a single celled organism, so, the court finds the defendant, Ms. Paltrow, to be at fault"
When a scumbag tried to scam a rich & famous scumbag and both parties hired the dumbest lawyers imaginable. I'm so grateful that I was alive to witness this pinnacle of human achievement.
It’s so sad this series of comedy has come to an end honestly the level of professionalism is immense… and 1 dollar she born with it, only poggers sue for one dollar.
"I have crippling anxiety, extreme mental health issues and almost completely physically paralysed since the accident" "Is this you on holiday last year?" "...no. It's one of my alternate personalities. On a camel."
Humans have watched other humans do all kinds of things since forever! The Romans built a f****** Coliseum for literal blood sports, people used to gather and watch as someone dangled and choked in town square, etc etc. I'm pretty sure court trials are on the tamer side of humanities interests.
The neverending montage of this old guy doing literally the coolest things imaginable around the world in front of the jury is SO INCONMENSURABLY HILARIOUS that it could not have been written by any comedy screenwriters. Though it does look taken straight out of Iron Man 2.
"now Terry, is this you ..on the avenger's compound fighting Thanos and his army for the infinity gauntlet?" *adjusts glasses* "Why yes it does look like that..."
@@BeanCasserole-wg7wu Really? I must have missed it. I tend to tab around while I listen to videos and end up not catching 100% of everything said. Glad he gets the same vibe, though.
many cases are brought to court for small amounts of money. It can be a tactic used to actually get a fair trial. If you're not pursuing a ridiculous amount of money, you come off as genuine. Iirc, the King family sued the federal government for $100 on the grounds of conspiracy to commit muder for the death of MLK. Crazy thing, they WON. The defense couldn't provide sufficient evidence to claim that the suspected killer, James Earl Ray, actually committed the crime. Even the rifle they presented as evidence didn't fit the ballistic profile of the weapon that fired the bullet that struck MLK.
When you are sued you generally countersue or counterclaim / crossclaim , she wasn't seeking damages because she wasn't wronged this was a cut clear case.
