The Millennium Spellbook was completely unaccounted-for after it was used to create the Millennium Items, so it may have been involved in the creation of the Shadow Charms. (I find this especially likely given the visual similarity between the two sets.)
I think the shadow charms are we're an attempt to recreate the millennium items, but they fall short because unlike the millennium items, there was never the intent to use them for justice, as such there powers are purely based in darkness
@@edisonthedave That and we don't know if the same ritual was used to create the charms like the items were, because I feel if the population of a small town went missing, then people would definitely look into it unlike in the ancient past with Kul El Na
All 7 Millennium Items, the 3 Egyptian God cards, the 3 Evil God cards, the Plana, the 8 Shadow Charms, the 3 Sacred Beast cards, the 6 Signer Marks of the Crimson Dragon, the 6 Dark Signer Marks, the Numeron Code, and all 5 pieces of Exodia = a weapon to surpass Metal Gear
The pendent seems like the safest of the shadow charms and has the coolest powers. teleportation, energy constructs and maybe shadow games. I'll take that. plus I love nightshroud. and red eyes.
@@lillianrodrick5852 I believe Nightshroud had 2 abilities, one from the pendant and the other from his mask. We know some of the pendants usefulness, but very little about his mask. All we know is he gotten it from Darkness or Fujiwara (I think that was his name) and is able to conjure shadow games alone with that. So Atticus was pretty powerful in that state if he utilized his mask, his deck, and not take on the protagonist.
I honestly think a reboot of the original Yugioh series could be made. This would allow them to clean up the timeline and creation of the items such as the millenium items and shadow items. Plus we could see them play the game properly(to some degree)
@@varisrevolver4061 Have to understand that the creator didn't intend for the original series to have a card game franchise built around it. The cards where just a narrative plot devise that became popularized and profitable as time passed to the point where it evolved into the game it is today. I mean for all intents and purposes the original manga was more of a seinen than of shounen where Yugi was a bi-polar anti-heroic magical murderer. Clearly it's changed directions so there's no need to hate.
@@stoiccrane4259 it's not a hate hate, it's more of a distaste for it, I admit it's good, but just watching it, you might as well skip it, it's not really needed from Zexal onwards and only counting 5ds because of Pegasus and Kaiba dome. The whole season 1 is a no go, season 2 is good but still, season 3 part 1 no, just no. Part 2 eh could be better could be worse, season 4 doesn't exist, season 5 part 1 is alright, part 2 is ok and the final duel is perfect. The whole original series is a mess
I mean I am not so sure of a reboot many anime rarely do a reboot ever as it could be tricky that alone wouldn’t make sense but when we do look at some of the yugioh timeline it makes sense I like to believe that yugioh the dark side of dimensions is the final installment given that many of the crazy technology that evolved from kaiba cooperation it would make sense he’s ever present but subtle in some of the series you just can’t surpass money sometimes. 😂😂😂
I think that Kagemuru tried to use the millenium spellbook’s millenium item spell to recreate the items and the gods by he failed and instead created the shadow Charms and the sacred beasts. The sacred beasts were probably then hidden by the real 3 Egyptian gods(Not the original god cards). Kagemuru probably decoded the wrong spell in the spell book and created the charms.
I mean honestly it absorbs the power from cards and makes you young and buff you could literally go to a card factory once every 10 years and your basically immortal
Honestly it's a shame these weren't used in the later seasons. I could imagine the characters using them to protect themselves from the effects of Darkness in season 4.
I feel like there should have been a plot about how the shadow games were how the cards were made in the first place. Capturing the spirits of warriors and monsters to use later in battle. Letting players access other worlds
@@MrFForger isnt that mostly just Atems back story and the millennium items? I dont remember anything going into the backstory of how the monsters were created ect besides Dark magician and blue eyes
@@exiaR2x78 I suppose monsters were merely created out of chaos. In the final season, you can see some folks have monsters inside them, criminals mostly. Like a Persona thing. So it's not like Pokemon where there are Duel Monsters walking about in the world, otherwise we would heard about dragons, water serpents, giants, etc. The Items were made to conceal said monsters into stone tablets, for safe keeping and to utilized them for when they're attack by other nations. Nobody wants to get Obliterated. Mahad captured a Magician and kept him personally as his monster for whatever and decided to put his soul into the Magician to escape death.
@@exiaR2x78 In Dawn of the Duel, we see that Duel Monsters are human Ka. The ones that got sealed into stone that eventually became the basics of Duel Monster cards were taking from criminals using the Millennium Items since people doing evil acts can make a Ka stronger and more evil. After seeing the Thief King and his powerful Ka, the priests realized that a person with nearly boundless hatred can create a Ka that could rival the gods. Which was why Priest Seto became obsessed with finding people with powerful Ka and basically tormenting them to make them stronger, which lead him to Kisara, the original Ka owner of the Blue-Eyes. The Priests also had personal Ka that they could be summoned and used in battle like Jo Jo Stands. Mahad personal Ka was Magus of Illusions and by merging his Ba (basically one's life force and personality) with is Ka he created a new Duel Spirit in Dark Magician. Mana's personal Ka was Dark Magician Girl. The Millennium Items allow a user to use other Ka that was sealed in tablets.
I think some of the shadow charms are meant to draw parallels to the melenium items, some being literal meanings of the names or just visually similar. Shadow charm ring: Quite literally the counterpart to the melenium ring. Like literally the shadow item is a ring, and similarly both rings are held by major vilians. Shadow charm choker: Is meant to be the shadow charm counterpart to the melenium necklace. Although the powers are different they are quite similar in design only the choker being more sinister since its all shadow like. Shadow charm eyepath: Is meant to be the melenium eye counterpart. Again the powers are not the same but both were used to cover up the missing eye of both melenium and charm wearers. And with the charm version, in the anime the dark scorpions literally viewed into the nature of the protagonists spying on them and basically trying to see I to their lives like how pegasus did to yugi and Co. The mask could also be added in here too since visually it is similar to the eye, at least on the melenium tablet and only for that reason. Shadow charm circlet: I belive this to be the melenium key could ter part more so visually again. The key looks like the symbol on Mosterton reborn which is to represent revival and what does the mask do? Revive the ded ppl ! You could also add the gauntlet in here since the tiger in her human for managed to 'capture the hearts' of those she made work on her collossuem, but again a large stretch. Shadow charm Emerald book: The counter part being the melenium scales. Again kind of a stretch but the scales are for balance, while alchemy is always looking for a balaced formula to make certain things so that's what I took from it. And lastly cause it's so obvious pendant =Puzzle primary for the fact that the main protagonists wear them, however there is another reason. Both items protect the wearer from dark forces. Yugi can only survive shadow games because of the puzzle, because the pharo possessed him and fought for him. Similarly Jade is able to stop the dark powers that try to take his soul. Hopefully someone see this and will agree xD
The gauntlet allows Tania to hold human form instead of being a tigress. It is heavily implied that she and Bastion become an item later on in the series (in the other dimension) TFW Bastion shagged a tigress
TheKaienshibasnejiba You mean like a series of epilogues? Because I stopped watching the Yugioh anime when Zexal came out. Which is when I stopped playing Yugioh. Until I got into it again recently with Yugioh Duel Links.
Yeah I guess. I was thinking more like pokemon chronicles, except ya know... good. Like a series of epilogues. Just to drop into each series post finale.
🤣dude, i didn't think of that as her "pet tiger" as he showed clear jealousy when she flirted with another man. imo, many stuff in the GX are reference to duel monster, Jaden himself is also a direct reference to the original Muto Yugi (especially the original one where Yugi would have been the wielder of Blue Eyes - at least until Seto Kaiba showed his superior marketability and stole the role)
I would say Emerald Tablet. Why? If I could figure it out, maybe make a Philosopher's Stone and bring all my friends in Yu-Gi-Oh! back, including Atem. So many people die... It's insane. I could also trap my enemies souls if I won a Duel against them, but I'm not that kind of person. (okay. Maybe a little)
Augi Aguto amongst other things it was Amniel's notebook, even if you cannot extract the philosopher's stone from it some of his other secrets might be more easily gleaned
Augi Aguto I'm not sure if they would thank you some might be happy dead because they can see friends and family also if i recall you need to kill a bunch of people to make a single stone to litterly have there soul trapped inside i don't think atem would approve of it
Man if only the shadow charms were also connected to the Supreme King imagine the build up and what if Jaden started forming new Shadow Riders when Gx ended to combat the Light of Destruction remember Jaden is destined to fight and defeat it when he matures into a man thus having more control and understanding of his powers that'll be a good plot for a movie.
Nice video but I really didn't understand tania much, later they see her in a parallele universe, but how did she regain the human form and how did she teleport to that dimension, seriously GX was so deep and badass and even after 180 episodes I still feel too much potentiol that could cover another 100 episode
I would say that Anakhnadin created them as a contingency plan in case of losing the Millennium Items and also in case that said Items were malfunctioning and not capable of serving their purpose
Id use the Ring or the Eye patch tbh. I can use it to make a in real life version of a Blue eyes of something of that nature and if I get both I would summon Uriel,Hamon, and Raviel into the real world
The ring or the necklace. The necklace would be more useful for me bc I’m a pacifist by nature and also teleportation. But the ring looks hella cool and I’d like to be stronger
I'd probably pick the Pendant, mostly for it's protective abilities. Because if I were on Duel Academy and was getting attacked by mummies and vampires, of course I'm taking the charm that'll repel those things!
it makes sense that the items have different effects, but I assume most of the time, the effects aren't that specific but simply are how the user uses them. for example, I bet Camila could seal people in other things than dolls too, but she just chooses to use dolls. and Night Shroud probably can also form other things than spheres and disks with the pendant. I would even go as far as to say that they might be all mostly the same, but the weilders only learned parts of them. Camila might simply have never learned to use the choker for energy fields or nightshroud might not have learned how to do telepathy. all items can probably protect their wearer, the pendant is just the only one where this wa seen on screen.
I got to go with the Emerald Tablet. No one will expect a book to hold dark powers. Plus I like the idea about having something that is linked to the Philosopher Stone. Also it would be ironic for me and everyone the knows me because as a kid I never like reading but now that I am older, I like reading. I think the Shadow Charms are just weaker versions of the Millennium Items.
Let's say that it's a dark part of the milenium item but the only one that seems familiar the milenium rod and milenium rings are familiar items since they send you to the shadow realm plus they have evil spirits
what would happen if you use all shadow charms and milenium items (including thr pyramid of light) at once . maybe you will become a god or something like that🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Thought. The Shadow charms / items were an attempt to re create the Millennium items but the maker wasn't able to 100% do this. As such they had to improvise powers for most of them. Also I personally figured they were either destroyed or sealed away off screen.
