[Apologies in advance for the long comment] I was around for Show’s era I joined the game in October 2018, the mid chapter after spirit’s release and I remember everyone talking about how good of a player he was so I wanted to watch and learn from him Since there wasn’t crossplay back then, and I also played a lot (I’m currently devotion 40 and have 10k hours) I matched with and against him a lot We did not like each other, matter of fact we hated each other but it was always over the game He called himself the number 1 Killer and best pig on ps4 and I was also a pig main, considered the best by a lot of my friends/fellow PS4 community members as unlike him, I actually did ambush dash plays in chase as I watched Scorpionz’ pig play Because of us not getting along, a lot of his community would be very rude towards me both in game and in twitch chats of other PS4 community members and I lost friends this way while also trying to stream myself Once everything went to shit a lot of his friends and community members defended him saying he was innocent Another big DBD ps4 streamer (and ex-fog whisperer) who was a friend with him and defended him ended up being a sex offender (this person wasn’t found out until around deathslinger’s release if I recall correctly) just to put that into perspective A friend of mine that was also around during that era who knew Show personally told me that even after everything that happened with him in jail, he uses his phone calls to call a friend who still plays DBD to ask her about the game It’s all he thinks about, it’s all he cares about He feels no remorse He isn’t a villain, he’s a fucking monster Thank you for using your platform for good, to bring monsters like this to light We shouldn’t stop talking about him or letting this go Someone like that shouldn’t be in our community or any community in fact I’m not 100% sure on this so don’t quote me, but allegedly he’ll be out of prison in 12 years time Someone disgusting and awful like that should not get out of prison and videos like this need to be spread to keep our community (and others) safe and aware Thank you again Mint Skull, I appreciate you P.S. This video is the answer to that one mysterious entry I made on the Iceberg regarding "problematic content creators". This video might be taken down, as he is a lawyer so he knows how to manipulate youtube stuff, and it might get yellowed by YT due to the content it has. Regardless, I think it's important to spread awareness that people CAN be horrible, and you should be careful who you admire / look up to. This is the second episode on my "True Horror" series, with the first one being the legion episode I did waaaay back! However, this one is special, because it talks about an actual human being, a DbD Streamer. I'm planning on making videos like these for other characters, like Doctor or Clown, as they are inspired on real life events just like Legion were. Please don't send any hate towards SkyFaction, the creator of the original "The Villains of DBD" video! I understand that the video was made for fun, I just saw it as a missed opportunity to actually expose the bad guy of the community, and not just make fun of some creators because of the opinions they hold / playstyles they choose!

True toxicity in my opinion is when you take things outside the game. Harassing other people by DMing them and being verbally abusive, doxxing, all that. BMing and being salty in game is a mild inconvenience at worst, so I see it as “toxic”, just not actually toxic. This guy went beyond that. Having the gall to have any online presence after doing such horrible things is just disgusting.

I am personally a fan of SkyFaction (the guy in the intro). I got kinda surprised when you mentioned him, but you have a good point

Tru3Ta1ent will always be one of the biggest villians for me in DBD, and here is why: Several years ago, I made a RU-vid video called "YTP: Tru3Ta1ent makes OchiDo Eat his Ass" where it was a YTP version of the video where Tru3 played against Ochido as Billy and won against him. A few days later, I got a youtube notification that Tru3Ta1ent's official channel actually copyright claimed the fan video I made for him, the video itself was completely under fair use as it had been effectively and fairly transformed through editing. Naturally I assumed that youtube's system had automatically put this claim on my video (since I knew little about the process of putting claims on other video's at the time) so I decided to post a repeal hoping that Tru3 would see this repeal, realize the mistake, and remove the claim. Before I talk about what happened next, allow me to explain the BS of youtube's copyright appeal system: If you post a video and someone copyright claims it, if you try to repeal the claim, the person who put the claim on your video gets to decide whether your appeal actually goes through. THE GUY WHO PUTS THE CLAIM ON YOUR VIDEO IS THE ONE WHO DECIDES IF THE THEIR CLAIM ACTUALLY STAYS IF YOU TRY TO FIGHT IT (Unsurprisingly, this system is so laughably easy to abuse, that there are people currently on RU-vid who make big bucks copyright claiming video's that clearly do not belong to them or contain any form of intellectual theft.) Tru3Ta1ent manually reviewed my fan video which completely fell under fair use, and decided to still push his fraudulent claim on my video. A video with only 150 views, on a channel which at the time WASN'T EVEN MONETIZED AND WOULD HAVE NEVER SEEN A PENNY IN AD REVENUE. A video with only 150 views doesn't really earn that much money to begin with, being very generous here, that video could have potentially earned at most maybe 5 cents? So to reiterate: I had to take down a fan video I spent hours on because Tru3Ta1ent abused the copyright claim system in order to squeeze out less than 5 cents worth of money from a fan with a small youtube channel. Screw Tru3Ta1ent. He lost a big fan that day. in case you try to find the video, I took it down off of youtube because he doesn't deserve that meager 5 cents that video could have earned.

This is why i like you Mint. You have entertaining videos and content covering DbD, but you also know how to keep things real. Good on you, keep it up ❤

Thank you for making an excellent point about parasocial relationships. It's easy to get caught up in the hype and fandom of internet personalities, but they're basically strangers who are playing a persona. Obviously, this was heavy stuff, but if you're doing more stuff analyzing the players / community of DBD, would you be willing to share your thoughts on the recent BHVR layoffs. Firing almost 100 workers right before the busiest time of the year and not long after a previous layoff doesn't bode well.

Sky used to be one of my favorite mid sized dbd youtubers but after he doxed a guys family (blurred or not) in a video I stopped watching him. Even if the "target" was a real piece of work that crossed one of my lines.

im at the point in my life where if i am playing ANY online game and see a tvt or any indication that I'm playing with a streamer, I abandon the match. honestly, it has greatly reduced the toxic crud I deal with. I kniw not all are bad, but pretty much all the worst people I have dealt with have been streamers.

I'll never forget one year (2021/22)? during Hispanic Heritage Month here in the US, I do an annual stream w other DBD Latin streamers, & we got him as killer & I already knew about his... issues, so I just told my chat & the other streamers to just go next (cuz i had a very obvious reaction to seeing his name). Come to find out the next day, his weirdo fans were clipping my stream & were telling Show abt it (I rewatched his VOD idk if it's still up) & then these same account names were actively stalking my Twitch for like a week after, it was so bizarre xD

(Idk what he did either, but mess apparently, it was messed up to) I know the guy that was talk in this video was on a whole different level up mess up. But when thinking of villains of dbd . brilliant advice in this video, especially regarding streamers. You do NOT know them, you see what they WANT you to see. This is a classic case of a Wolf in sheeps clothing, and a cautionary story that you should focus on yourself and never believe everything you see or hear. Love yourself and your family and the people online are just pixels, its ok to develop close bonds and friendships but please know everyone has something to hide. Make sure your something is not as serious as this or even close. The truth ALWAYS comes out eventually.

I will never forget when my friends and i played against this guy. Definitely one of the most toxic matches I have ever played in my 5,000 hours. I also played against him as a killer multiple times and he would always start toxic behavior. Weird to find this out years later
