I stood my ground and refused statins. I said you can’t make me take them. I said you did not even take my blood pressure. He was so angry I would not listen he asked me to leave the surgery. I was very pleased it was 20 years ago I am 82 and are very healthy and 100 percent pill and doctor free. I ride my bicycle at least 50 miles a day.

My doctor put me on Statins years ago. Developed muscle pains so he tried me on other Statins, the pain persisted, so I walked away. My doctor is nothing if not persistent, and sneaky, and he keeps trying to sneak them back in. How much of a kick-back are the doctors getting? Anyway, eventually developed Type-2 diabetes and I am angry as Hell! Developed prostate cancer, had my prostate removed with all that that entails, and I am wondering! If, or when, there is a class-action lawsuit I want to pursue it! I have lost complete faith and trust in the Americal Medical Association (AMA)! You have to stand up for you because your doctor may not! Don't be afraid to tell them "No!" Boy, they don't like to hear that! Stand your ground!

After a heart-attack, aged 57, l was prescribed statins. Before long, l had incredible muscle pain: I couldn't sit, stand, walk, lie down or basically do anything without pain. And pain that was worse than the heart attack itself. So l threw them all away, and within a few weeks all the pain had gone. This was 2009 (14 years ago) and l've been fine since

All medications for cholesterol give me side effects. I have stopped taking my tablets since March, which by the way gave me hypertension. As a result of this I took a tablet to keep my blood pressure lower. Since I stopped all tablets, my blood pressure is back to normal. My cholesterol has gone up but I feel so much better!

Two different statins that cause me to lose muscle to the point I was hospitalized. I will not take it--I eat the things I need to keep cholesterol stay within the norm. I was so dumb: I was eating salad without dressing and boiled shrimp which I thought was good seafood. The doctor laughed and said, "shrimp is full of cholesterol". I thought I was eating healthy, but I was raising my cholesterol so high that I needed a medicine. We really are what we eat. Mom is 89--she eats greens, beans, turnip, rutabagas--all the poor food of the 30s and 40s--strong as a horse, she mows her own lawn.

Respectfully, given what you have proffered here, you need to incorporate a method of raising endogenous glutathione in your cells. You've got to get the oxidation under control. If you haven't done so yet, get the ApoB and ApoE tests, as well as CAC, CRP, Homocystiene. Your HPs need to give you a complete picture.

I was prescribed this statin, within a matter of weeks this drug effectively turned me into a decrepit old man. Muscle pain joint pain, unable to get out of bed without assistance, required help to get dressed, required help to get up out of a seat. I phoned doctor and told him I was stopping these tablets before they actually killed me. It took nearly 2 months for my body to recover from these tablets. Doctor has tried to get me onto another Statin but I have refused point blank. I have said I am not going to risk taking those tablets again, clearly they are worse than the problem they are supposed to alleviate.

When I questioned my doctor, she said that my cholesterol was nearing the level considered high. So I said that I could easily reduce the level by eliminating and/or reducing high fat foods. She replied that she was REQUIRED to prescribe them⁉️ Required to automatically write a prescription. My pharmacy has been refilling it regularly. I discard it as soon as it arrives. What a system. 🤔
@sunflowerinwpb

Tell your pharmacist not to fill that prescription that you don’t want. No need to waste it, it will wind up in the trash and eventually going into the earth. Also, many wind up having to pay co-payments for medicines they don’t use, or possibly if you get other diseases and hit the platform that you are allowed to spend… now your are putting yourself in a possible situation of paying for other medicines.

Statins also reduce the production of an encime called COQ10, which is responsible for proper muscle contraction and function, and guess what !.. the heart is a muscle, big part of the brain is made of fats and has colesterol, when you reduce that you also get foggy brain, and it seems statins don't really reduce the risk of heart desease. Low carb diet and intermittent fasting, seem to be a great solution.

It tastes great it lowered my cholesterol, and I started losing weight because it really fulfills my appetite. And I don't get hungry again until 12 or 1. I’ve been on Rosuvastatin for several years now. I get terrible pains in my knees, and legs, I am also now pre-diabetic. Because of the pain my Dr. told me to take the med every other day, but it’s not helping. I have my next quarterly checkup in 4 mos., if my A1C is still where it is now, she wants to put me on medication for that. Nope! We’re going to have a serious discussion about what I just learned from this video

I been on it since my 20's it runs in my family. I have had really sore arms like my arms were cramping. Then I saw the report on the muscle cramps, how it makes it more hard on people to get up and stand and walk. So I stopped taking it. Now my arms are better, little cramping on the right side, but it's all most gone. I will take something else.

I was blessed (or cursed, depending on your POV) with a photographic memory, but began to experience short term memory loss several months after I started taking 40 mg of Avorastatin per day to lower my LDL. Follow up blood tests also revealed a Vitamin D deficiency which likely explains the increase in muscle weakness I'm experiencing. I will definitely be talking to my doctor about switching to a lower dosage of a hydrophilic statin like Crestor. Thank you for producing this highly informative video!

A doctor(I can't say "my doctor" because I rarely see the same person twice),advised that I take Atorvastatin as a precaution, about six months ago. I have since developed hip pain which I never had before, but at 77, and having been a keen sports player well into my sixties, I just thought it was almost inevitable that I would get hip problems at some stage. It never occurred to me that a medication could be the problem! Having watched this video, I'm going to stop taking the medication, and see whether my muscle pain around my hips decreases, or even goes away. I have a strong suspicion that it will, and if it does, look out NHS!

At the time I told my doctor about my weak legs, he gave me some multivitamins he had on a drawer. Months later, I developed seizures in my left leg leading to a fracture that was operated badly and now I have a shorter left leg by 6 cm, and my quality of life is terrible, I depend of others to do a single step...

I have to say you are being sensible. Most of our GPs know what is right for us, it is like anything in life you can always get a bad apple' or two. I too lost my Father when I was very young, he was just 58. With the knowledge we have today regarding heart problems and the massive strides forward in treatment we should be thanking our lucky stars! Some of the symptoms experienced could be coincidental and when pain has gone away because you have 'stopped taking the statin' that pain could return eg early onset (new) arthritis.....yes, ask what your GP thinks, listen/research and decide for yourself. I thought this video was presented very well, informative without fear mongering!

About six months ago I began having difficulty walking and getting up from a chair etc. My muscles in my proximal limbs got weaker and weaker and about six weeks ago I was diagnosed by my Rheumatologist with Statin induce necrotising inflammatory myositis. I am now having to take steroids and methotrexate, and will have to remain on these medications for some considerable time. I hope to go into remission. I feel very let down by the medical industry. I've been on lipitor a year now. My cholesterol is now 168. I couldn't have gotten there without it, I was active and ate well. It's hereditary, right there with the high blood pressure. I'm not sure if the sore muscles and stiffness is a side effect of the medication or I've just been arthritic all these years, sorry can't help there. What I can tell you is, my dad died of congestive heart failure, the final blow, a massive stroke. So, I'd say the side effects haven't slowed me down, and just maybe I will live longer and better than my daddy did. .

I had brain "short circuit" sudden turn or sudden fall with Lipitor I quit soon after I changed to low carb diet and brain symptoms were gone. This drug can damage various organs especially brain and liver.

Yes, my Husband had Dementia type symptoms, he had been on Statins for 20 years. I'm sure his Cholesterol was super low, unfortunately it killed him in the process!

My partner and I were both advised to go on statins - not because of anything really bad/high, but because the NHS are pushing this action apparently to save money down the line. After 2 weeks we both developed serious wet coughs, chestiness, wheezing especially when lying down, and breathlessness. We eliminated other potential causes from our house (eg liles!) but neither of us got any better. After 2.5 months it dawned on me - the start of statins more or less coincided with the start of our sickness. After 3 months on statins, and nearly 3 months of severe coughing, etc, we both stopped taking the statins. Instant (within 2 days) easing of symptoms and after 2 weeks all is fine. Doctor agreed to this experiment and I think it's case proven. No more statins for me to reduce what wasn't in any case 'very high cholestrol').

The only reason why statins are being pushed by the Big Pharma on low broadline cases is because they lowered the threshold for perscribing people onto statins for life and other drugs to counteract the side effects which increase profit for the companies that sell this. At the end of the day ,there is no profit to be made in healthy people. I myself fell into this lowered boarderline category and recommend to go on statins, after a couple of months I started getting severe back pain and muscle leg cramps.Doctor suggested to try a different type of statin I said no thanks and came off them.Since what has happened in the world health event of 2019 onwards I lost all faith with health organisations.

We need to care for ourselves. I was also on Atorvastatin and it givè me muscle ache. I had to surface the issue to the doctor and it was changed. Since then for èvery new medicine given, I Google to find out why am I given it, the side effects, etc and to take note of related symptoms. I have to date discover 2 statins and 2 anti biotic not conducive for me.

My Husband died from the use of Statins. Not once during the many visits and stays in Hospital were Statins ever mentioned as being the cause. I found out after he died about what that evil drug can do. I am beyond angry and heartbroken.
