The Twins are BROKEN! - Worst PTB in A While...

Never in my lifetime would I think Twins would be S tier before GTA 6 would come out but here we are.

I think Otz summed this PTB of the twins perfectly "it seems like they didnt listen to feedback and just threw something together to see if it fit

If i had a nickel for every broken Twins' PTB, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

When I hear rework, I expect a total change to the gameplay, not a mega buff. Twins rework really should have been about making them more usable with more perks and giving a point to Charlotte. Charlotte still has no point besides pickup and now Victor is still a menace.

Victor is just legion, at 150 movement speed and doesnt have a restriction to hit 4 health states before downing but can just straight up hit the same person twice.

New store is best update! But The Twin.... 💀

I'm so sick of the "we put lots of effort into this so were won't remove" bullshit augment. If it doesn't work and the players all agree that it's bad IT'S BAD and shouldn't be released like the permeant unbreakable ptb

A kinda worrying thing about the bundle section though, they have 'bundle exclusive' things, and that's just super worrying, because you KNOW they'll made giant price tag bundles that have a bunch of bundle exclusive items and make it time limited for an event or something... It worries me, there will be more fomo and greed.

All I wanted was bug cleanup, faster switching time, and the option to launch Victor straight out of Charlotte's chest along with deploying him normally. Instead I've got Titan Victor and Janitor Charlotte

Anyone else notice that the moris in the shop are much much smoother?

I think blight slide tech is not necessary to be in the game It is an unintended bug that is not explained as part of his power, which means survivors have no idea what the killer will do next and how to predict his movement And it comes with an upside of the random slides being fixed

Twins needed a buff, she was most certainly not "one of the strongest killers." They did overbuff her a bit with this ptb.

As a Twins main. Only thing I really wanted was to be able to faster switch between them.

i hope they fix many of the animation bugs that are happening. Nemesis tier up doesn´t have an animation, Wesker´s gen break animation does not show the uroboros, Pinhead´s possessed chain camera is bugged again, Plague is literally floating after she uses her power. And these are just some of the ones i can remember.

I actually do enjoy playing against twins because of the fact you constantly have to be aware of your surroundings which I find thrilling

I think they should keep the quality of life changes and the haste you get when Victor is hold on to a survivor, and remove the 2 tap Victor.

Something I’ve seen in the PTB that not a lot of people are talking about is the so called “reworks” for the Soul Chemical, Summoning Stone and Iridescent Pendant addons. Basically what BHVR is doing is replacing these addons unique and fun effects with the most generic crap ever. Like we’re talking “increase X by Y%” levels of generic. If these changes go live, then so many interesting builds will be lost. I also really hope more people discuss this so BHVR knows this won’t be a good change.

Twins QOL changes are fantastic - Faster cooldown on Victor and Charlotte - Charlotte gaining haste after someone getting down (I think it's a must, to go and hook people faster, specially when you have Pain Res or Floods) - Recall Victor anytime is great and helpful Unfortunately the rest is way too strong, they need to revert them back and just make the other points stay, but now I'm afraid they'll just ultra nerf them and that's it...

No joke Mint, you literally said my exact suggestions for Twins. As a Twins main since 2020, Twins were already strong and just needed cooldown adjustments and Qol changes (like the recall). They need to just put them back to pre-ptb state and I’d say that’s perfect. Victor doesn’t need a rework, Twins in general don’t need a rework. They have counterplay (running in duos to counter Victor and healing) and for the most part aren’t oppressive. Slugging with them is more a result of Charlotte not being able to get to the survivor in time. Like, you have to wait 8 SECONDS just to start walking to the survivor (5 sec Victor cooldown+3 sec Charlotte wake up). So TL;DR keep the Qol changes like the number changes and the recall and such, but revert Victor back to how he is now, with latching on to healthy survivors and downing injured survivors. And while they’re at it, make Victor’s downing cooldown 3 seconds again instead of the 5 it is now. It’s 3 seconds in the ptb, but make it so when Victor downs someone the way he is on live it’s 3 seconds.

Does Hadenfield still lag when you go into certain areas? If it does, then the rework isn't satisfactory at all. Everytime I go to that map it lags.

Honestly all they had to do was add a passive ability for Charlotte and fix the bugs. Since the Twins are peasants who learned the hard way how to survive, they have a better understanding of their surroundings. So... Charlotte could get a passive ability of seeing steps around her (like survivors see Chucky's steps) to give the m1 killer something niche but chase potential and keep Victor as he is, a strong presence whicj gets dangerous if survivors stay injured

Honestly, I think that either making it so that victor can hook the survivor, or being able to summon charlotte would counter slugging a lot (if that idea sounds stupid I’m sorry I’m not a game designer)

Why don’t they make it to where you knock someone with victor, you have the choice to recall victor and charlotte reforms from victor around the survivor into a pickup animation.

im confindent they had guys with like 50-100 hours each playtest it and went "oh wow victor pounces are really hard to land, this is pretty balanced" and never looked back

Twins is in my mains list, and I don't even think they need a rework. Maybe some buffs to certain addons, but Twins is incredibly strong when played right.

I wonder when they will release the updated shop. But Twins are too powerful now.

As someone who plays both killer and survivor here's what I'd change about twins from the ptb: -Increase the cooldown after a successful hit with victor so survivors can gain more distance -Make victor vulnerable if he hits a survivor with endurance -Give Charlotte a speed boost only if she's in a close proximity to victor holding down a survivor (16 m) -Make victor invulnerable to being crushed while holding a downed survivor for 5 seconds -While victor is holding a survivor make them unable to recover until he's removed

what if they made it so victor latches no matter what, but charlotte can still recall immediately

I hope the new store stuff comes into the mobile version. Like how you can test the mori’s and stuff. Also really hoping they change the twins, I understand that they were trying to stop slugging… but this is just making it worse imo.

twins definitely needed the cooldowns, which are the best part of the ptb and i hope they dont change, and the haste is nice but everything else feels OP

Why dose Victor not just jump on the back like before but also have the takedown as well?

Random Twins Idea: -Whenever Victor downs a survivor, Charlotte gains a pathway only she can see that shows her the closest route to Victor. So long as Charlotte is within a 3 meter radius of this path, she gains 10% haste. -Toy Sword add-on now places this pathway on Victor every time he’s not actively being used.

Imagine third person Victor Chucky needs a rework more

In my opinion. allow Victor to be kicked after the 1st hit (either the surv or a teammate) and increase the respawn timer after the kick (i'm not sure if it went down from 10s to 6s but maybe go from 10s to 15s) so they will no longer snowball with Victor. Simple? maybe yes maybe no.

Bruh if they just did the qol and Charlotte speed buff after downs it would've been fine. They honestly should've made Charlotte weaker during the speed buff or something, like reduced lunge range

I think they should have made it where of victors misses, he becomes invulnerable, but if he hits, then there’s a few seconds for survivors to crush him. I know they’re just trying to increase twin’s playerbase, but this isn’t the way to do it

twins was already like the strongest killer. The only reason i stopped playing her was because of all the bugs. Like they could have fixed the bugs, did some QOL stuff and then release it...

I found this new rework gameplay much more interesting than the live version. Not having victor latch on injury feels much more fluid than latching, switching and repeat... And about it being broken, what about it? It's not as if there isn't other S tier killers, do you want just weak killers all the way around? The only true annoying killers are Doctor and Knight, mostly Doctor because he just does not let you do anything. Any other killer is skill test and you can outplay. But at this point people just complain about everything, if it is strong or weak, in the end they will always complain

3:55 You say that as if she was ever fun to play against. 75% of chases against the Twins is Victor who moves at 150% movement speed. There is no fun in taking a health state or down to a killer that is double your speed.

The Twins needed only QoL and bug fixes,they tried fixing what wasn't broken and made it the worst type of broken

"we cannot undo the work weve already done" what work? it looks to me like they just changed some numbers and maybe some code that says victor doesnt latch on unless they are injured, unless im just stupid that seems like nothing to a multimillion dollar company to one of their characters that has been literally broken for years

It's crazy how they can put out a good amount of good content only to immediately drop a deuce of a stinker like this afterwards. At least the new store's alright.

I think an ok change honestly would be to just have victor ALWAYS latch, regardless if healthy or dying. It would fix the problem with slugging, and keep all the work BHVR did over the course of 3 years to make this change. (I am being slightly sarcastic saying this obviously, for a rework 3 years in the making this is literally nothing).

I actually like the PTB. So yes it’s buggy as hell, they took away blights butter, and gave the twins super powers. However I really enjoy when they actually listen and then follow through with previous promises. They listened that the twins were rough, they just took it a bit far. They’re giving DS an animation that I hope gets more polishing. They added the store upgrade. Still sad they listened to some people about the blight but I didn’t play him much anyways. And last but certainly not least, they pushed back the initial release of the PTB cuz there were problems. I think that wasn’t a choice made lightly and they actually tested it, as much as we say they don’t. That leads me to believe otherwise. Again not great, but I think it’s a step in the right direction

The Store, the remove d-pip and the ultimate weapon nerf is the best in this chapter, haddonfield too, hope the twins thing will dont get on live server

I always found the Twins to be a decent killer and I used to play them a fair bit, I never felt like they needed much changing. Maybe a few tweaks here and there, but mostly they were okay. I hope they’ll reconsider some of these changes and step back from them. I get that it’s annoying having Victor taken from you, but keep in mind, that’s one person less on a gen and if they were close to other survivors, you could always see them on killer instinct. I loved that feature.

The only thing they should have done was fix some of the twins stats, and make it so that you could call Victor whenever you wanted, not turn Victor into a killing machine

you know, aside from Twins and the ds animation i PERSONALLY think the ptb was a good one! A lovely new pass at the store is great, the blight and Haddonfield reworks/tuning worked out very good. I'm sure Nova will get a badass animation for Ds going in no time and Twins will have a good balance change.

As someone who played Twins for a long time. Im very disappointed. My fix to this rework is like everyone. Keep the qol changes and revert the power back to how it was. But if they are going to keep this function, do these. Increase Victors missed cooldown to punish twins for missing. Increase his successful pounce cooldown so survivors can get more disposable. And make Victor unkillable to survivors he has injured, but kickable to others.

4:00 Twins on the PTB are better than Nurse. I'm sorry, but there is no conceivable way for Nurse to shred through 3 health states in 10s like you can do with Twins (just go watch Otz video about them and clip how he downed guy that got adren mid chase), Victor is also way more mobile than Nurse, the only advantage Nurse has over Twins is indoor maps and going through floors. "Breaking fundamentals" is just a buzzword.

After hilbilly one,one of the best rework in the game,twins feels...I dont know,And I will forgive then because the good work on hilbilly,but the think is,this not feel as a rework,more as a buff,and after 3 years with twinsin their spot ignored,feel even worst I feel is one case them need or revert the change,because is them want less sluging playstile,they did a terribly work,I want being optimistic,but,its hard this case

The only thing I totally disagree is that Twins not as gamebreaking as Nurse. 150 movespeed stealth killer with almost instadown ability, huge attack range, no attack cooldown or limited resource, can attack through pallets. There is no counterplay, only mistake on killer player side. At least nurse is slower than survs, has some CD, punished for missing attacks and it's easy to lose track of surv during fatigue, there are mindgames, holding W is pretty effective, breaking line of sight is possible and very effective. Twins have no such weaknesses. Twins are stronger than nurse. If she is S-tier, they are SSS-tier

Been saying they were fine after most (I said most not all. Will never all) the bug were patch. But no there not enough people playing them so for sure they need a massive buff ( I am being sarcastic) the current victor is an information hub, now we get legion 2.0 with extra steps 🙄

They reworked the twins in the worst way possible. They weren’t a bad killer, they were just boring and encouraged killers to slug. Now you’re encouraged to slug even more because victor is so strong

thank god for unreal 5, biggest change and worth the bugs imo, no new gameplay stuff but at least it will improve and allow for new stuff

Between things like this being all too common, the clear lack of care surrounding the DLC monetization with that horrendous pack thing they did, the active (if possibly unintentional) banning of linux players and general toxicity in the community members always looking to start fights for no reason over petty shit (just a personal observation from losing friends and hearing the constant drama going on in the steam boards/youtube/twatter etc.) I am glad to have not logged on in a long while. How hard this company has fallen to make the same design by statistic choice so much recently... Its sad, I really like the game and its concept but if all the grief and drama keeps happening I don't see much of a future for DbD

i totaly agree with you on your twins's re-work opinion. they were fine before this bust, and this only made them stronger, and for the survivors, more boring to play against. as a twins main, i also hope that behaviour think twice about this changes, and if they are going to do it, at least not that hard, please.
