Have you wondered where do the licensed characters get their cosmetics from? Well, these are revealed in this video, as wellas some suggestions they could add from the sources!
This video features characters from the movies and videogames: Halloween, Left 4 Dead, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, A Nightmare on Elm Street 2010, Saw, Stranger Things, Alan Wake, Chucky, Child’s Play, Resident Evil and Silent Hill

I wanted to do a video like this for a long time now! I always wondered where did Michael's gown, as well as The Pig's cosmetics originated from, so I decided to showcase all the licensed survivors and killers we have and see their origins! I intentionally skipped most legendary survivors, since they are their own characters in my personal opinion, so unless that character has a more popular look like Chris or Jonathan, they are not mentioned. I would also like to apologize for saying "Inspired by" various times, when the cosmetic is literally the exact same from the source, so it's not inspired at all 😅

Though I love the white hunter design for Pyramid Head. I somehow think we'll get another Claudette Leatherface thing going on because his pyramid is white. Could also have burning Nemesis when his outfit had more damage to it in the remake, also during the time I believe he was mostly using the Flamethrower as a blunt weapon after it broke.

Detective Tapp's default is the uniform Eric Matthews wears in Saw 2, because he was originally going to be Matthews before it was changed to Tapp and I guess they liked the way the uniform looked on him or something idk.

About the pig's skins the test subject outfit is directly inspired by Amanda's outfit in saw 3 with the added on sleeves to hide the hidden blade and the Amanda's rebirth cosmetic is actually her outfit from the original saw when she was in the reverse bear trap with the jigsaw coat over it. just thought id give a lil info since you said the saw 3 outfit was her outfit from the first film mixed with her one from 3

Btw the DLC tops for the Stranger Things is from the series too. Nancy's torn sweater is when she escapes the upside down and the Demogorgon. Steve's scuffed long sleeve is when he and Jonathan fought each other. Also I thought the "zombie mask" was the scream 6 ghostface mask. Because i thought dbd knew that look and added before the movie came out

For Nemesis we actually got a lot of cosmetic potential. We could get his mask he wears in the start of Resident Evil 3 remake, torn up torso outfit when he gets battle damaged, an outfit of him on fire, and the outfit I wish we could get but probably won’t get is Classic Nemesis from the original game. Oh and maybe his 2nd form from the original game would work too since it’s just him shirtless with tentacles.

I am still on the hope train that with the new ownership of the Halloween franchise, as well as BHVR mentioning they’ll be looking at Meyers in the future, that we can get more cosmetics for the duo! Heck I’d settle for Laurie getting a sweater or something small from an event! Seeing the different masks and outfits for Meyers, or giving Laurie some of her older outfits from her more recent saga would be amazing!

Like I want to stress she's extremely underated being canonically as smart as wesker. She's been bit a virologist a doctor a college professor. There are some cosmetics for Dwight, Meg, Jake, and Claudette that match with 2 characters from L4D and 2 characters from L4D2. Jake has Francis(L4D) Meg has Zoey (L4D) Dwight and Claudette have characters from L4D2

Great video, personally my wishlist for character skins would be Cheryl Mason getting her look from Silent Hill Shattered Memories, Rebecca's basketball outfit (unlinked so you could use her iconic red headband with other outfits), Team Wesker Rebecca, default Ashley as an alt for Leon (but also if they release Casual Ashley as an outfit BHVR will make infinite money), Leon's villain outfit from RE4make OR his edgy attire from re6, RE5 Jill, and now that I am aware that there can be a shirtless Quentin Smith cosmetic that too. And a holiday sweater for Quentin too since the man deserves something after all this time.

3:03 Speaking of Payday (Altho unrelated to the video) in the sequel there is a Trapper mask that the heisters can wear during their heists as a collab with DBD back then, i think it's still possible to get it but idk if you need normal DBD or a special edition since i play on console. When it comes to Nemmy, if you are ok with the other cosmetic possibilities you mentioned. There are several other Tyrant forms not mentioned. Including Talos. Though Talos is supposed to be a LOT larger than Nemmy so it would be kind of like a mini Talos lol. ( Talos is basically a titan in size. I am talking about classical size versions of Titans, not the anime. The closest from the anime would be "Colossal Titan". He is one of the, if not THE largest monster, little alone Tyrant type, Umbrella ever made in the lore for Resident Evil. )

Something to note about the Xenomorph.. A possible cosmetic could be a special one from the books. One that is part of the hive that almost completely wiped out Earth. Its basically a Xenomorph with the number 5 burned into its head It is also supposed to be painted but I forgot what the color was. 5 for its squad. Number 5 being one of the smartest Xenos in the whole lore of the franchise. The whole hive group that one belongs to can use guns, and has detailed knowledge in both human tactics as well as of course all the tactics Xenos have. Its a extremely dangerous hive group that basically got taken out in a risky.. Earth basically is permanently damaged due to this at that point in the franchise. ( At least most of the Xenos are gone from Earth.. MOST.. Not all! )

I noticed an error on your Amanda's leather pig. It is not Hoffman inspired. It is actually an outfit Amanda uses on Saw 3 when fighting Erik Matthews in a flashback. Except for Riggs outfit and the Billy mask, all Pigs outfits have been worn by Amanda in the movies at some point

I get the feeling that the Resident Evil deal might be for specific games. The content in the game currently is only taken from RE0, RE2R, RE3R, RE4, RE5, and Revelations. It seems like they really don’t want them to use the classics? I’m sure of BHVR COULD, they would most certainly put the iconic classic Nemesis. But since we don’t have any content from the original games, it may be a game by game type of deal? This is likely why all the “classic” outfits aren’t seemingly actually from the original games. Like Jill’s classic RE3 and RE1 costumes aren’t from those original games. They’re the RE3R specific versions. Or how Chris isn’t actually from RE1. It’s the bonus outfit version of his RE1 outfit from RE5. Maybe at most Nemesis could get an on fire skin or something though.

Funworld has made Ghostface's anniversary skin as a real costume but it's not actually for sale. I don't know if they made it just as a concept (they've done that before with the red/blue ghostface recolors) or if they are actually going to sell it. If they do sell it I will 100% buy it.

the Amanda's clothing take is almost entirely wrong. While the store clothing is based on what she wears at Saw 3, when she's being tested again, the rift one is entirely her first-test clothing. Thought, cool to see all the others!

Just a quick correction considering Mashamiro Ito’s recent post I believe a couple months ago Pyramid Head can appear for other people if they had a similar situation to James. The only thing we know is that Pyamid Head appeared for James because of his desire for punishment for what he did to Mary, and it serves as a guide and stays until it’s no longer needed. Mashamiro Ito has memed and gotten genuinely mad at the theories on the game as some things like holes being very common in the second game were just there for suspense and held no deeper meaning.

I think BHVR might have licensing rights to TCM2 because the quote and idea of the award winning chili are from that movie. Also the quotes are accredited to the full names of the characters something not revealed in the original movie. If my limited knowledge of copyright law is correct then they wouldn't be able to use even the most minor details of later iterations of the character, like how anyone wanting to use Mickey Mouse has to stick to the design of his Steamboat WIllie Iteration

Ash's store uniform is from Ashy Slashy's Hardware & Sex Emporium that Ash owns in Season 3 of AvED. S-Mart is specifically from Army of Darkness, so BHVr can't use that oufit.

Jill has a pirate skin in Resident Evil Revelations that you can unlock playing the extra mode, they could add it to DBD, as for Nemesis, there are so many tyrants (Mendez is not a tyrant, but he could fit to the game) i guess they just dont want to add them because they dont have a tentacule canonically like Nemesis, also they forget the new dress from RE4 remake for Ada, and with the other girls and guys from all RE Series they can add many legendary outfits, like Jessica Sherawat from Revelations or Barry Burton from RE1/Revelations 2
