I'll definitely do this ...I've been going through some struggles trying to attached my burley trailer to each new cargo ebike I get without removing the running boards and it's not easy! I even bought this attachment (robertaxleproject.com/product/trailer-hitch-adapter-for-rad-power-bikes/) but it didn't work on the Aventon Abound or the Flyer VIa!! But I'm not giving up!!

Yes please! We already have a Thule chariot from another bike but haven't been able to figure out the socket mount and the aventon abound... Also our panniers are made for thinner diameter rack rails apparently, did you have to modify anything for the ortlieb??

Hello and thanks for the question! Actually I didn't need an adapter for either. The Abound's rack is integrated for the Yepp Maxi and the older child seat fits without an adapter.

This is actually the same question I have. As far as I know, the Yepp will expand tension adjust from to back, but the abound doesn’t actually have lateral (side to side) inner frame support or “easy fit” window. And easy fit adapter addresses that. Are you worried it will slide on one side or another?

@@TheMrNinzy The rear rack of the Abound is integrated for a Yepp Maxi so it fits and attaches without an adaptor. it doesn't slide from side to side bc the Yepp's legs keep it from moving. I hope this helps!

@@Top5ebikes oh that makes sense. I have the adapter just in case. But don’t like that it raises the center of gravity. And the way you have it set up is perfect because it positions the yepp even further back. Thanks for the reply. Great videos btw UPDATE*** there appears to be some play side to side. Have you tried wiggling the seat. It doesn’t hold tension properly as the rack’s cross beam support is too think.
