"Zeno Clash's story isn't going to be the main draw of the game". You didn't start the game, hear "Ghat, why did you kill Father-Mother?!" and immediately need to know every detail about the story and setting of this series???
NOOO!! ZENO CLASH WAS MY SECRET GEM THAT I WAS GOING TO MAKE A VIDEO ABOUT someday eventually when I get around to making a youtube channel... I'm glad someone with at more than 10k subs is talking about this game, criminally underrated, you should literally go to jail if you haven't played this game.
This series holds quite a place deep in my heart. The first one's painfully janky at times and I can't find it as great as ZC2 because of it, but the the atmosphere is just so damn timeless. At some times it even reminded me of the Land of the Livid Dead in Rayman 3. Not sure how Artifacts of Chaos is like tho. Didn't play this one yet.
Actually, Xeno Clash does remind me setting wise of another off the wall game; Shadow of the Beast. That alone has my attention. Here's to hoping a dev makes the decision to use the awesome core gameplay loop in an equally interesting but different setting.
The game reminds me of dark messiah it was made by arcane and in the source engine but zeno clash feels diffrent by the world strandred any way I should give it a try
