Shane Blackburn always made me chuckle. Was mostly used when Ronnon was being a bit daft. Would of been funny if showed up in DC Universe when Aquaman was being a bit stubborn 🤣
The actor, Joe Flannigan, who played Col. Sheppard, looked into purchasing the rights to Stargate Atlantis when the show was ending in order to continue to produce the series but he said that he wasn't able to make much headway. It's a shame. The series might've gone on for some time had he been able to strike a deal.
Its a shame corporate greed and stupidity ruins so many things. they wanted to keep the rights to all SG to themselves so what? they could go bankrupt?
I love how most of these moments weren't even part of the main story line however, we still view them as the best because they really bring a sense of realism to the show in how we feel these characters would actually act together.
(McKay)..."It's too bad we can't go back in time a 1000 years and get a couple of ZedPM's when they were fully charged".. (Sheppard)..."Where's a DeLorean when you need one?".. (McKay)..."Oh, don't even get me started on that movie!!"
Talking about \PMs, do you think Hermie could have found out how they were made at Atlantis and then made some, taking 3 back to earth - 1 for their starship, 1 for the outpost chair and one as a spare. Just thinking with an Asgardian present on the ship who no doubt has a better understanding of the Ancient language than any human.
You know, it's amazing that Rodney never insulted the others. He was dismissive and a bit thoughtless when he was working on things, but he was never deliberately cruel or insulting to people.
Rodney had the compulsive urge to always be the smartest in the room and envied anyone rivaling his level of genius. Zlenka was on par with Rodney, often even smarter. Most would argue Rodney has many autistic traits.
When he did insult or was dismissive, it could be viewed as him pushing people away so they would feel the need to die for him. He was very protective of people and tended to be abrasive so he could protect them.
What? He's constantly insulting his "minions", calls Ronon a caveman, Carson a voodoo doctor, and was disparaging of Ford's and other military personnel's intelligence all the time.
I truly believe John's friendship with Rodney changed him. When we first met McKay he was an arrogant, egomaniacal prick. He never truly lost that ego, but his friendship with John mellowed him, and truly built something in him. That moment when real emotion broke from Sheppard when Rodney was trying to say goodbye may have been the final nail in sealing the more toxic roots of who he used to be. That was John saying how he really felt, and Rodney was really his friend.
13:19 to 14:23 is my favorite moment from the whole series. ”You’re a good Friend Arthur” scared me the first time I saw it, overwhelmed just a second later after they burst out laughing. So genuine.
Man his memory loss reminds me of ice king with finn and jake. Simon lost himself to madness from the crown and forgot those that mattered to him. But he always remembers finn and jake. Like how he always remembered john.
it's to bad the sci-fyi channel won't show reruns of all the stargates and other shows like Babylon 5 or firefly. all they ever have on these days is horror movies and cheesy stuff like sharknado.
@@xiaros8208 Stargate: Legacy -------there are 8 books first one is called Homecoming, last one is Third Path. the books resovle many plot lines like the wraith, Vanir, Elizabeth Weir and even Aiden Ford if they would done another season or two they could of had awesome ending to the series. would recommend checking them out. www.stargatenovels.com/
@@GreenDragonReviews goddammit. I never wanted to know that. I always loved that they didn't, that for once, a female and male lead didn't have to have cliché super ovious sexual tension and could just be friends. God dammit.
I could be mistaken but I think the very first scene is from SG1 and not Atlantis. Unless they re-enacted the entire scene from SG1 the exact same way. which would be sort of weird.
I really liked SG:A it had a good balance of humor and seriousness. To me SG:1s humor always fell flat and was downright creepy at times with its excessive use of long pauses and the actors often silently staring at each other between dialogues. SG:A didn't have this so I cringed alot less.
7:15 What an useless device that makes you invulnerable. I can't come up with any idea how this might be helpful on missions. Let's put it in storage and never mention it again.
@@rohanhalle580 - You mean when he couldn’t eat? He didn’t want it to come off cuz he was scared. It finally did when they suggested he go into the gate room with the creature.
Rachel Luttrell was the worse main character actress i've ever saw . you would wonder after 5 season what she was there for to begin with . Her acting was so bad that you dont wonder why she never got any big roles after stargate atlantis . Even Claudia Black was ten times better actress and she was and she was no Amanda Tapping thats for sure . I do not know what happened to female main cast actresses after Stargate SG1 but they sure went down the toilet in both stargate Atlantis and stargate Universe . there was Jewel staite that was very extremely good compared to Rachel Luttrell .but sadly they made her into the doctor of the expedition
Grammar much? I don’t think it’s Rachel’s fault, she didn’t write her character or the show, it’s not her fault she was never given room to really act. A lot of actors for StarGate really never did anything after it which is sad but Rachel hardly stands out.
