Totally agreed!! It's important to accept that there are certain things that are not in our control and it's best to come to terms with it...and find the best way to deal with them.

While i'm aware of this. I try to let it be most of the time. But not overthinking seems impossible as someone with adhd and distractions, even though there plenty not strong enough seems like there needed. At least while im waiting for therapy. Its. Sometimes just seems needed in order to not inflict really bad self harm.

So I use distractions a lot such as if I'm like having a panic attack or I'm in a comfortable situation or something is going on around me and it's just too much for me to handle would that be considered making it worse

Sometimes we need distractions to feel better. So it doesn’t always make it worse. The problem is when we never allow ourselves to feel. Then we can make it worse. ❤

Hi love ❤️ I would recommend trying to talk to a doctor or psychologist or therapist if you have access. If you have insurance usually they cover for that. If not, and if it’s too expensive. You can look up other peoples account that have ADHD or whatever else you think you might have. Read resources online and if yoy resonate with anything it might be it. And you can get whatever help or coaching you need for that. I know lots of family doctors have the resources you might need. Even some free therapy out there. Check out Nami ❤️

@@Micheline.Maalouf yeah i would go to a therapist but i’m young so i cant go on my own and when i asked my mom to get tested for adhd she said “if i thought you had adhd i would get you tested” but i seriously need reassurance at this point.😭😭 i started writing down all of my symptoms because someone told me to do that. i’m seriously torn; a lot of people make me feel like i’m making this all up for attention, but i’m really struggling with day to day tasks and school work and i’m not sure how much longer i can keep that up. i just really need an explanation but i’m scared to ask my parents and seem like an attention seeker. thats why i wish i could talk to someone online but thats so weird for me to talk to an adult so i’ve just been talking to people with actual adhd and the ones i’ve spoken to think i have it as well but they also aren’t qualified to say that so like its so hard 😭 i’m sorry to bother you like this but you’re the first person who actually replied to my comment about this sort of thing :’) what do you think i should do? should i ask again and explain why i want to talk to someone a little better than before?
