They’re just wheels…not much else to consider…or is there. You’ll be surprised!

There is actually a lot to consider when selecting the right style of wheel for your style of riding.
Have you ever considered the core type and how it affects your style of riding?
What about the style of wheel…straight edge…radius edge…or bevelled edge?
Don’t forget about the rebound of a wheel?
You won’t look at wheels the same after this video. A much watch vid!!

Met you in Esk8 con at the parking lot right before the night ride. I was the tall guy with the Propel Endeavor Pro. Great info and great video!

Hey Dude...ya, I remember talking to you. I have pict of your board! Glad you survived the ride that night. Which I would have have those larger wheels though. Those roads were brutal. Hope the season has been treating you well. Appreciate the view and comment!!

⚡ *The Maaaad 105s* 🤩⚡ Love mine, perfect street wheel for low esk8 decks. Off-set core wheels are by far my favourite, many kegel core wheels are off-set

Great video! Each wheel has their pros and cons. Some have more or less of each. Looking forward to the individual reviews!

I like the 8" tires as well. I do wonder if the leverage that those 8" tires have during carving and turning hard don't wear out the bearings faster. I bought the "iCloud"😜 cloudwheels based on your recommendation. Reviews are all over the place but I trust your judgement. Thanks for the great content.

Rub it in Dude!!! I know, I am an Apple guy, so I though I could do double duty. I do like the Cloudwheels. They have held very well for me. I also like the larger 120mm size and they ride really well. I do have to admit though, the MadESK8 105s are pretty good. You just feel more of the road and cracks than you do with the Cloud wheels. Either way, I really do think you will like them. Right now I run half my boards on Cloud wheels and half on the 105s. Great comment Dude. I like those that give some zingers back. Appreciate the view and comment.

@@esk8ooligan You're the best, I like the self deprecating comments that you overlaid on the video. Great job as usual.

Any thoughts on the hollow wheels? They haven't been officially released but there were a few preliminary sets out there for people to try from the creator. I have a set on order, I want to corner more at high speed and 150mm pneumatics kind of worry me.

I saw those and have been looking into them. I think it is an interesting concept when it comes to the contact patch when going straight as compared to cornering or carving. I am kind of interested to know more about the adjustments you can make using the pins. My big concern is wall roll. When cornering hard, you are going to be putting some serious pressure on the wall of that wheel. Yes, while the inner wall is solid, does it provide enough stability to keep the wheel from shifting horizontally and not give the rider the feel of drifting. Something else to consider is the fact that the contact patch is more than just for cornering. When going straight, it serves a very important roll in stopping a rider. Imagine taking about 200 pounds and stopping at 25-30 mph on a bicycle tire...which would be similar to the inner port one the wheel when going straight. Now take that same scenario and stop the 200 pounds using a wider wheel with more contact patch. Which would you rather have? I’m down to test them. Let me know what you think when you get yours.

@@esk8ooligan totally did not consider the stopping part. It will be awhile until they get here, probably end of September if I am lucky. Thank you for the detailed reply.

Sorry my brain acts a lil differently.... How can you talk about tires, (with great specs) Without talking about road conditions? I just cant comprehend that. Not every tire will work on everyboard/road condition.

I agree with you in respect that not every tire will work on every board/road condition, but unfortunately that is where I have to stop. In every sport/activity, we have to assume a certain level of knowledge of the sport. If we don’t, these videos would be an hour or more in length. Back in my motocross days, when I needed a new tire for my RMZ250, the dealer didn’t take me to the tire bay and begin to tell me that the Pilot Power was designed for the street and that a paddle tire was designed for sand or that…I think you can see where I am going with this. I, we, have to assume that viewers have a level of knowledge of skateboarding which allows us to focus on the specifics of the product being reviewed rather than include every detail. You see, we could get into dirt vs sand vs gravel vs concrete vs asphalt vs quicksand…then we could get into ruts vs cracks vs washouts vs potholes vs divits vs sinkholes….or we may have to discuss grass vs weeds vs brush vs…are you seeing where this is going. Again, we have to assume a certain level of knowledge of the sport in order to be able to focus on the specific product and this channel will always assume that level so that videos don’t become too long that the core information is lost by covering every element under the sun. I appreciate the comment and hope you will continue to watch.
