Did you pass the test 😅🤣😬 PS: the guy coming in needs to work on his pronunciation of Aesop. #melbourne #victoria #bordercontrol #funny #straya #australia #melbournefunny #coffeesnob #aesop Merch 👉👉 linktr.ee/jimm...
@@PseudoSarcasm You complain about traffic? Come to shitty adelaide and see the fuckin mess here..... I was back home in Melbourne for a couple of weeks in November and had little trouble getting around the eastern and southern suburbs. I think you're refering to that shithole further north east. Melbourne and Perth are STILL australia's no 1 & 2 best cities to live in respectively, thats why I'm moving back home to Melbourne soon.
@@garynewton1263 I was making a joke about the lack of traffic here. House prices have gone silly in Melb though, you could buy a house for $150k 20 years ago and earn $50k a year. Pretty sure people's salaries haven't x10 since then. Kids are really going to struggle to buy a house.
@@PseudoSarcasm Yes. Agreed...........however Melbourne is still the cheapest place in Australia for electricity, gas and water costs. Perth not far behind. Quality of life is way better in Melbourne. I've lived here in adelaide for 7 years coz I needed to be close to my elderly mother, passed away last year so I'm going home to melbourne's eastern suburbs. Adelaide sucks for roads, grocery prices, take away food, shopping for clothes, utility costs, sporting events, job opportunities. The amount of people here on drugs and who are spaced out paranoid fuckwits is astonishing. As for weather, I'd rather have nice cool weather, rain or not over this dry barren place with relentless heatwaves. I was in Melb in november and loved it. Now, the only thing we have to sort out is getting the federal govt to close the borders to migrants so that us Australians can get a rental property!!!!!!!
Haha, few people have pointed this out and after looking them up I know I have seen their Irish video a while back but I hadn’t heard of them!!! The idea was initially gonna be a game show with the stupid questions and random answers!! Landed on the border control well coz… the old open closed borders hahaha!! Maybe some subliminal inspo in there somewhere!! Very funny lads!!
Can I ask you then, why you can't meet a Melbournian in Adelaide? Didn't get that reference. I'm here in SA now and saw many Vic number plates, especially on the beach..
Off topic- just watched the first episode of Taskmaster- LOVE IT!!!!!! I’m a huge fan of UK version- and I was worried. But it’s fabulous. Great job! Laughed so hard. Good job in the OJ.
Woohoo glad you liked it!!! Was sumo random and so fun to be apart of!! I think the whole series I can keep a straight face when Tom Gleeson gets on a roll berating people 😂😂😂
Was Foil Arms and Hog one of your influences for this video? I really like seeing this type of sketch done by a different comedian. It would be good if you attributed them as one of your inspirations
To all those banging on about Foil Arms and Hog, they are not the first comedian/group to do a immigration/customs skit, it’s an old trope. The fun here is how the comedian spins the joke.

"parochial attitudes" You can thus deduct the parochail Tassie culture is either fundamentally Christian traditional/orthodox, and/or fundamentally narrow minded and not open to change/other cultures, as per definition above.
@@michaelr.7805 yeah I searched it up but everyone I know isn’t anything like that. It’s completely fine down here. Just way too cold 3 quarters of the year.
Best cure for a hangover is watermelon - you can thank this melbournian tomorrow morning.

Learning funny bits about Australia from Germany… I just *love* the Internet. :D (Been here since the late 80s… not RU-vid-here, of course, that one didn't exist yet :D)
I thought them complaining about the weather was like an exaggerated internet/tv joke thing. Went there for the first time, not long back. Turns out they appear to complain even when the weather is really, really nice for some strange reason. At least that was my experience of melbourne randoms
I live in Geelong now. But Melb most of my life. This just makes me super proud to have lived there. 100% correct 100% proud 100% friggin awesome. The way life should be lived. I still use Aesop hahahahahahahahaha. And I'm broke which makes it even dumber. Lol still proud. On ya Jimmy
The Melbourne accent. I developed that one. 😄 I sound like a snobby wanker on voice recordings, but it doesn't match how I write comments on social media. 🤣
Spent the best part of three years there with Defence for Fires, Storms, COVID, Floods and I'd never been there before - in my experience absolutely spot on!
It is true about criticising Sydney. You cannot put up a video about Sydney without a Melburnian saying Melbourne is better. Sydney people don't even bother on Melbourne vids.
Nah… as a Melburnian I’ve lived in both cities and truly love both cities. Any Melburnian who criticizes Sydney, or vice versa, is a loser. But honestly, I have never heard this myself. I think this rivalry is an urban myth. Anyway, viva la difference! Long live both cities!
As Geelong guy, the prison joke got me good. If I didn't live in a 10km radius of Corio, I'd sleep peacefully at night without hoons dragging on a straight road near my house.
