I for one completely sympathize with The Perfect Bite TM. Whenever I eat I tend to eat the smaller bits or around the best parts of the meal, or even eat a sandwich or burger around the center and save that for last. Then whenever you're taking that last bite it's the best part with everything you want in the flavor. The only exception is I eat all my sides before I eat the main course of the meal, like eat all the veggies and potatoes before eating any of a steak. You are not alone in this Jaiden, you have my support.

My way of getting out of conversations is saying “well, I should get back to it! I hope you have a good rest of your day, see you later!” It tells the other person that you have something else you need to do, but is vague so you don’t have to come up with an actual excuse to leave, and quickly following up with “I hope you have a good day” will put them in the position to not ask what you gotta do and also wish you a good day, forcing them to say goodbye to you too. It’s perfect, it’s never failed me!

Now we know that we're either both not insane, or both insane, in which case we can revel in insanity together. (Also, I too am very awkward/socially anxious, especially when it comes to conversation-ending, so I know how you feel)

If you wanna talk about crazy: Additionally I also eat the sides first and after they are gone (potatoes, rice, salad, whatever) then I eat the main thing (meat or whatever), unless I know it's too much, then I stop with sides when I'm not feeling hungry anymore and finish up with the meat and stuff

4:54 I also hate this, that is why I always start a conversation when I have to go somewhere at a specific time. Like class! Before the awkward silence, my school bell always seems to be perfectly timed to ring either in the middle of a deep and interesting conversation or *right* before awkwardness. It's great! (try setting timers/alarms for those things if you're not in school and maybe stack them like 5:00, 5:05, 5:15 etc)

i watched this months ago. I saw her say the perfect bite thing and IMMEDIATLY started doing it, all the time. Like, I'll get a lunch box special at my local sushi/Chinese place, which is rice, 2 shu mai, 4 pieces of California roll, and an entree. I'll save on piece of sushi for very last. Also, whenever i get just sushi, i get 2 or 3 different rolls. I ALWAYS alternate which roll. I'll eat it like; salmon, tuna, eel, salmon, tuna, eel, etc. lol thought this was worth mentioning

Bro it feels so good to know that someone else sort of tidies the bite thing. Each time I have a meal that’s like, rice and noodles with shrimp, I will make sure that I have enough noodles left to get as many combined bites of rice, noodle and shrimp/ meat as possible. I combine the "perfect bite"TM with the "perfect meal"TM where I eat the thing I dislike the most on the plate first, perfect bite style, then the middle looking thing, then end on the best food. So if I had a Rib platter with loaded mashed potatoes and asparagus, I'd eat all of the asparagus, leaving the best seasoned ones for the end, then mashed potatoes avoiding the toppings until the end, then split all the ribs and leaving the most juicy/seasoned and often the one with the most meat for last

I HAVE to eat the smallest to biggest or the other way around. Example, if I have a bowl of chips I have to eat the smallest to biggest chip or the biggest to smallest chip because if I don’t then I will spontaneously combust. And if someone messes up that pattern, I will shove a gvn down their throat. THATS HOW ITS ALWAYS BEEN. Also if I eat a sandwich or a quesadilla or something, I have to make it even. I can’t just eat it like a normal person

And if it's a sandwich I will go "sure" and put the next ordered bite in her direction, for her to skip the crusts(when I eat around sandwich first then middle to have the most satisfying thing last) and just take the biggest chunk of the middle before I get to it!? It is so bothersome

For fries and chips you have to choose but I question your sandwich assembly if you only have 1 prefect bite to line up. There should be at few perfect ratio bites that can be lined up with a few prep bites throughout a sandwhich

Don’t worry, Jaiden. It’s not that weird to get that rooster sign as an adult. My mom is in her 40’s and got a sign for the kitchen that says, “if you feed them, they will come.” It’s my favorite thing ever.

When I was a kid, I started doing the first thing, "the best way to enjoy a food", which you showed here, and my logic was same, fast forward few decades and I still do the same and I never found even 1 person who did this thing. Pretty surprised to see someone doing this. As for other points you mentioned, there are many adults who do those, you just haven't seen many.

I just tell everyone that I hate talking on the phone. I only enjoy talking to certain select people who I’m very close to, and who I KNOW will keep the conversation to essentials only. Maybe it’s my ADD but I hate that my ears and hand aren’t free to do stuff while I’m talking. So I get bored *just talking* and that transitions eventually into annoyed

I do a variation of perfect bite, where i optimize the order i eat stuff. Mainly, any fried starch like potatoes is first, because cold fries might as well be inedible
