Yeah my car dealer actually tried that, like 500 dollars for a full service, a full tank and a 12 month warranty... Told him I already still have a 5 year factory warranty left, a full battery costs me something like $ 20 and I can have the vehicle serviced for $ 100,-... And so I did
@@salamonmo 41centsa share after earnings call was horrid. it was 7dollars earlier in the year. its getting shorted hard too. my stocks stay lent out. i still see promise, so it was a good time to buy. unlike alot of these companies fiskar actually has a product. reminds me of kia when they came around.
Yup, I just read about them. They’re horrible in debt, they’re stock is pretty much in the toilet. The EV market is tanking, doesn’t look good for them.
@@Amanda-pb9ry Their founder is a designer, but that's a far cry from engineer. Just because I might draw a mean looking Starship Enterprise doesn't mean I understand warp drives....
I don’t like how all these evs have automatic everything, just more things that can break. I need an ev with nothing more than the motors and lights to be electric
And by unquie cars , you mean 1 car, then a protype pear that is like the ocean will just full of issues and software bugs They can't even solve pairing Bluetooth correctly
@@KillDevilXOComparing an established car company with multiple factories around the world to a startup that has delivered less than 15k cars in its entire existence. Makes sense
We had those in a 1972 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser wagon when i was a kid. I thought it was the coolest thing ever that the window went up into the roof, and the door went down into the floor.
If they are still around! They have been burning cash & about to run out! Maybe their partnership with Nissan can save them . They owe Magna a lot of money & can’t seem to sell the quirky Ocean. Hopefully they resolve their software issues.
they couldn't make that car under 30k if it had no solar panels and even with a regular trunk door. if tesla cant make 1.8 million model 3 in 2023 cost under 30K what hope does fisker have. but good luck to them if this car was 30K I would buy it in a second.
@@G_G_G_G_tesla makes the tesla model 3 under 30k in china. So it is possible. But fisker is either hoping to make a loss on this car and up the volume or go bankrupt.
I don't follow this guy and I will continue to ignore him like he ignored Fisker's financial woes. To anyone buying a Fisker: don't count on that company to still be solvent for the entirety of your warranty.
liftbacks normally have forward set hinges to lift wirhout needing a huge amount of space behind. the Houdini door looks like an expensive repair waiting to happen, and poof, your money disappears.
Ideally the Less electronics and moving parts the Overall Better the design. Now unless there is a way to bypass the electronics if for whatever reason you need acess but its damaged or just Dead you cant acess the front truck nor acess anything too large out the back. None of this takes into account to massive increased cost of repair should it ever be needed. A dented door can usually still open. a Dented Trunk or Frunk is mor likely to jam since its no longer a simple hinge.
This car is gorgeous and so reasonably priced. Oh trust, Fisker will survive and do extremely well, once they compete updates and sort out their new on court dealers. It’s exciting to see this car on the street, saw one in Clapham here in Uk it was so beautiful!
@@saintmarytillman4119AFAIK that's only if someone got upgraded to One up from Extreme? One was founders package and inclusded things like those recycled cabron fiber wheels and all avalible options, plus everything within Extreme.
Ap-pear-s to be an attractive car. Cool features. Good mileage and very reasonable price. Now, reality... I live in Colorado. I can see problems right now with the houdini door and the slide out when it's freezing or raining hard. When it's raining, a hatch style door allows you to get in the back and shielded from the rain. Maybe a 2nd car fair weather car. While maybe fun, EV's are still unpractical for me. 98% sure I won't ever own one.
$30k? Not when a box of cereal is pushing double digit prices. No ones been able to do it for a reason, and fisker’s history shows they definitely won’t be the ones to rewrite EVs
The design reminds me of something Toyota would have branded as a Scion. Lots of design decisions "legacy" owners would dislike but younger drivers would find fascinating.
