Sparkling Hypnotic Nightcap with Calming Catnip Tea Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
Hot water
Sparkling water (one serving’s worth)
Nervine (calming) herbal tea of choice. Rachelle is using catnip. And also recommends: Valerian, California Poppy, Lemon Balm, Lavender, Passionflower
Optional: Butterfly pea (for color)
DIRECTIONS:
1. Pour sparkling water into serving cup
2. Bring hot water to a boil
3. Add 2 - 4 tea bags to the water for 30 seconds, keeping strings out so you can easily remove.
4. If using a tea-spoon or tea ball, again just make sure it’s easy to remove
5. After 30 seconds, remove the tea from hot water and add to sparkling water. Cover and allow to steep for at least 5 minutes. (Can be left for longer.)
6. Add ice*
*Extra credit: Make-ahead herbal-tea ice by brewing the same calming tea, or a complimentary one and then freezing in ice cube trays.

I have so many hops growing in the garden next to me. Ended up harvesting a ton and drying them and using them in my baths before bed

Beautiful. Learning so much here, thank you well+good. Just had my fourth child about a month ago🎉. It has brought on (which I am already 'prone' to) anxiety on a different level; comes across as I am getting things done-- super high and happy at times but lack of sleep and a brain that won't quit!!! plus I feel as though I am avoiding sleep when I could be benefiting from it. Great info.

Oh I LOVE that. Thank you. I saw lemon balm in between I believe it was the passionflower and maybe the lavender-two of the sedatives. Is lemon balm a nervine also? I’m going to find you on Instagram now.

I like the idea of cool drinks for summertime, but what did dropping it in boiling water for 30 seconds do? Lower tannins or just start the release of constituants? I've never seen that before.
