This beautiful KEY WEST is owned by a good friend of mine. I did him a favor in picking up his boat in Islamorada and bringing it back home so he can take it on his long weekend vacation.
Hell yeah like that check mate I live in California I feel like outboards aren’t as poplar out here but hope you got that slow acceleration problem fixed as well
I haven't used the boat since the last video, I'm going to use it one more time after running seafoam if it still takes off slow I'm taking off the injectors and getting them flow tested also adding a fuel water separator and cleaning the gas tank.
One of my boiz has a key west but doesn’t use it much anymore, I like the boat but I hate when he doesn’t put the plugs in and we have a wet deck 🤦🏾♂️ he also has a twin vee and I love that boat cause it’s fast, stable and skips across the water
Lol he did that on purpose? I had a buddy who did that once to his Key West he lived on a lake , when he woke up the next morning to use his boat he couldn't get up on plane 😄 at least they float one filled with water
@@boatvibes yeah he does it on purpose 🤦🏾♂️ I dislike it but he loves it, and he always says it’s not gonna sink and that he has a spare bilge pump just in case the primary goes out🤷🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ he’s a character bro!😂🤣
Yeah I'm sure we would all love to buy a newer boat. Reality is a vicious thing. Most of couldn't afford that as a first boat. I just bought a 19' CC Trophy from 1998. It's in phenomenal shape for its age and I don't give two shiots about what people think of Bayliner. I like the boat and its perfect for us. I paid what your motor cost for everything.
@@lokaboricua89 oh believe me I work hard that's not the problem. I'm just to stupid to retain information I learn because I have had ADD all my life. I can't take any of the meds for it because they mess me up big time. So I'm stuck doing physical work and driving trucks. Don't get me wrong people who have the intelligence and have worked hard deserve anything they desire to buy. I am just speaking for guys like me who don't have that kind of income. Sadly there's a lot of us.
Don’t sweat it. Most of what you see are people up to their eyeballs in debt. Drive a beater, be debt free and build wealth. Live like no one else so eventually you can live like no one else.
I'm going to take it for a test run this week sometime after I clean the gas tank that is filled with water hopefully my injectors don't need another cleaning
Please do us a favor get a 10-20 ton bottle jack and do it the better and safer way. Board under jack on top block between keel, jack and crib it as needed so much faster. Also boards under those concrete block so it doesn’t sink.
Why would it be a favor? I do agree there is a much better way to do it, but like I said numerous times in the video I HAD ZERO IDEA WHAT I WAS DOING. I'll get the trailer back on monday so it will be fine until then. Stay tuned for the reloading video
I highly recommend buying a boat with twins because eventually you're gonna want them and it's best to rip off the band aid and just get twins right at the start
Looking at other boats in this length class, they seem much heavier. Even though a lighter boat means faster speeds with the same size motor, do you see the light weight hurting the owner in a heavy chop or open water situation? (This would be for a 1st time boat owner outside of a flat bottom jon boat)
I know from a lot of personal experience that the lighter the boat, the worse the ride is. Light boats will beat you to death. Also, generally speaking, the heaver the boat is the better quality the build is. Think of it this way, the lighter an object is the easier it is to toss around. I can throw a baseball a lot further than I can throw a bowling ball. As far as the speed you mentioned, sea conditions will largely dictate how fast you can go, so a heavier boat will travel faster in choppy conditions than a lighter one.
Great lifestyle. A video about your background & how you learned to work on boats would be cool. Also in a previous video you mentioned you had something in the works & one day you’d be taking people out. Getting your license? 👍👍
When you take the exam & get to the questions on Day Shapes there are some funny mnemonics to remember...you too would be RESTRICTED IN ABILITY TO MANEUVER if there was a diamond wedged between your balls! Good luck!
Definitely a sweet boat but a little bit too much vinyl for a fishing boat. I know you can take the seat covers off but the vinyl padding around the gunnel is sure to be ripped up in no time flat.
Transom is not wide enough for twin 300. It has a built-in setback that's only wide enough for a single engine but I would definitely put twins if I had the money to play with. 😄 but.... I'm considering putting twin 250s on my 20' checkmate tho. I figure it would be good content😎
@@boatvibes yeah that's about max for me. Mine says 10 amd I had 12 on there at one time and it's way to much. Some of those were kids too. Couldn't imagine 10 to 12 adults haha. Thats crazy it seats that many. It doesn't look like it would
Yeah definitely not 12 people lol but yes it fits 8-10 comfortably, two people sitting on the bow, 2 sitting in front of the console, 2 behind the helm, 4 in the rear bench seat. You can even get away with two guys standing beside the console.
This boat was bought used not new and it was the cheapest 239 keywest with a 300. I do agree at first I was not a fan at all but after seeing it in the water It started to grow on me.
Lol I love all boats man. Different boats for different types of people and I will show all of them 😎 I do agree that race boats are alot nicer looking and more interesting
Race go fast boats are awesome. But the big million dollar center consoles are boats you can have a party on with like 18 people that can still do 90mph
