One thing a narcissist does not really covered here. When you go silent on them, they tend to put you down to anyone who will listen. If the narcissist truly loved you they wouldn't treat you with such contempt, or lie to your face with such ease, or gaslight you, or start arguments just for the buzz that it gives them, or invalidate your every emotion and deepest fears, or treat you like an idiot, or use your most intimate moments or confidential confessions as weapons against you. Worry about losing you? Only if they perceive that it would impact them negatively. Other than that, they literally couldn't care less.

I used to actually block him on my phone. Now, he’s not blocked so he knows I have the self control to not answer him. It’s empowering.

They reach a certain age where they lose it and nobody wants them and when they do they come back to the familiar, reliable, dependable... You! They aren't just greedy they are selfish, spoiled children. Block their calls and texts!

I got one a month after breaking it off, "You forgot my birthday." Hahahaha. I didn't forget. I was in no contact mode. A month after that, i got a text, "I miss you." I did not respond. A month after that I got a Marco Polo video message from him. He filmed it at midnight. LOL He was wagging his finger and said, "You always give up on me. You ALWAYS give up on me. That's a damn shame." I have remained silent. I didn't give up on him. I gave up trying to make things work with an eff-boy. LOL.

You are right that the narcissist just moves on. We wonder if they're even missing us but we know in our heart that we were never important enough in their eyes for them to miss us. No one will ever be so important to a narcissist that they'll actually feel love and affection, regret and longing like a regular person would.

I just jut my little sister in the "NO CONTACT zone" yesterday. She put the VERY last stick in the camels back and it broke. I had a yearly fishing trip planned for 4 days in Montana with her husband and two sons plus my son and two brothers and other nephews. She fucking destroyed it so I had to cancel the entire trip. Everything was set - shooting range, fly fishing guide, side by side off road rental, beautiful cabin on a class 1 trout river in the mountains. She had a spaz freak out just before we left and threatened her husband with divorce, screaming yelling like a psycho so my brother in law which i've known since he was 18 and my nephews all cancelled so the costs and schedule all got fucked up. I will no longer allow her in my life. This is not her first spas and if I let it keep going it won't be the last I explained to my brother in law he's no longer allowed in my life either due to the fact he fucked me because he couldn't stand up to her same with my nephews. I will not allow that kind of behavior in my life at 50 years old and serving in 4 wars or conflicts deployed for 12 years. there's NOTHING IN her life that would cause any stress. They have good money, he has an awesome career and they have their health and we have a big very nice family. She's just ducking insane.

Forever being told I was Jekyl and Hyde on the rare occasion I ever tried to defend myself. Forever being told I was a hard person to love. The damage to my most treasured possessions, that can never be replaced. The kicking me out of house after a narc rage came from nowhere. Me being the one to text and apologise because ‘we’ argued when in fact he had been systematically psychologically abusing me from the word ‘go’. This is as fu*#ed up as it gets people.

Sexlessness. Sharing a bed with someone who doesn’t acknowledge you are a sexual being hurts so much. I was in a sexless marriage for years. Being a woman with a high libido, I felt inadequate. Worst I feel invisible. The man who was “supposed” to want me, just didn’t. We talked about it many times, more than I can recall now. It was always me. I wanted too much - once a week was too much for him. I didn’t initiate - he was always complaining of headaches, stomaches, always stressed, always tired. I was too sexual - when being subtle doesn’t work, what is next? Explicitly saying I wanted sex. Oh but then it was not appropriate. Conversations would end up with him saying he didn’t feel desired or I made him feel emasculated because he didn’t want sex as much as I did. Yeah, it was always me. I could never win. While we were dating we would have a decent amount of sex, it was good. The first huge red flag was not having sex in our honeymoon - which I ignored. It rapidly decrease to once a week, then every other week. Years gone by it was months in between, by the time we divorced it was over a year with no sex. I cried myself to sleep more times that I can count. I didn’t understand what was wrong with me. Was I that undesirable? Was I repulsive? After those conversations, I just stopped trying, initiating, mentioning sex. We were still loving - holding hands, hugging, kissing - but sex was off the table. He then cheated on me. Swore he had sex only 4 times in a year (or more) long affair. It didn’t matter. For years my self worth was damaged by him, years of low self esteem, years of feeling less of a woman, the marriage that was more than over, waiting in hospice, really ended. Funny how things are, I asked him for a divorce, he manipulated me into staying, next day his infidelity came to light. I was out as soon as I could. Best thing of my life. Additionally, That feeling when your partner cheated and you don't have the courage to leave him / her so you just death with the pain and live everyday asking questions about your worth. This pain is different from the cheating one_living and seeing him everywhere anticipating when he or she do it again. He didn't tell me he wasn't born with an empathy gene when we were dating. Only after I moved in and he wanted to continue not to give and just take, take, take. When I wouldn't give him money he discarted me. Best thing that couid have happened. I was set free. They dont deserve you and they don't know what love is. all my life i was easily fooled. im very gullible. videos like these are so important for us. there is a freeing feeling when you figure a person out. when you start to see the patterns and especially when you catch them in an obvious lie. almost like you brain grows and you feel yourself getting wiser. you realize that being good isnt about being blind. being good is about seeing the truth and helping to uncover others eyes.

They definitely have insecurities, and at times have paranoid behaviors as well. And definitely likes to Point the blame on others. Along with thinking they do no wrong. There are many different signs. These include spending time on phone that was not spent previously, withholding sex from you, withdrawing in communication with you, agitation or anger over Petty stuff or making up situations to get angry or agitated over, lying, being secretive in any way, randomly spending more time caring for and pampering oneself such as putting on makeup or wearing cologne or coloring hair etc. Any type of changed behavior that is not aimed at pleasing or benefiting your relationship. With all of that though, follow your gut. your gut is telling you that something isn't right and it's telling you that this could or is happening, therefore listen to it. Just Free yourself from all of it! Run and don't look back. Go 100% no contact. The mental and emotional abuse is not okay at all! Do not bring anything up to her. Don't try to rationalize or have a conversation about anything. Don't let her know that you know she's in narcissist. All of that can cause a narcissistic rage. If you have not yet witnessed one of those just trust me that you don't want to! A narcissistic rage is beyond any rage I have ever seen or witnessed in my entire life. I am an army combat veteran and served front lines for a year and afghanistan. I have abuse going back from as long as I can remember, the first time in my personal memory is 2 years old. With everything I have been involved in, and my rape, other sexual abuse, their physical abuse, etc in narcissistic rage is by far the worst! If you need to contact your local police department and start a new contact order. No one can protect you like you can! free yourself from it all and move forward in your life. The minute you run and go no contact is the minute your life begins again. If need be seek out professional help. Therapy is the best thing I did for myself. The best gift I gave to me! The abuse is so deep and overwhelming that having a professional guide you through the steps of the healing process is extremely beneficial! Just remember, there is great strength in asking for help. There is great lack and strength or no strength at all in putting on a mask and hiding behind the opinions of society and pretending that you are okay! I was stuck in a toxic nightmare with an ex girlfriend. I got out finally after she lied to law enforcement and had me arrested for domestic battery. I pled down to disorderly conduct. A few years later I remarried to a better person and it's going well. I severed ties with the twatopottimus and happier n healthier now.

You're spot on. She kept me in reserve, in the loop, until she needed me, knowing full well that I would come to her rescue. Playing the victim. That's the last mistake I'll ever make with her. The thing I really noticed, they love talking about themselves, but are rarely interested in your own feelings, and problems. They pretend they are the centre of the universe, and the world only revolves around them.

Wish I would have watched this years ago! I can honestly say I never had a back up, just love people- my “dag that’s awful “ gets me in trouble! My big heart sometimes is too big! It's like when you divorce, if they wronged you and you DO NOT truly forgive them, you will not find peace my friends, it will be like an albatross around your neck for something you did not invoke, therefore, forgive them , delete them, and find peace! If a person has no empathy, then they probably don’t have much of a soul, and they are probably haunted by something. But it’s very scary when you realise the person you thought you knew is not. But you should be able to see it in their eyes every so often.

My ex's parting shot to me was that I would "come back" to him. I didn't. He showed up on my doorstep 3.5 months later and seemed incensed that I wouldn't let him in. 😂 . Then he called me about 6 months later and wanted to see me and remained astonished that I still didn't want to see him. I would hear from him at intervals for another 5 years, with the same results. Sometimes he would love bomb, sometimes he would neg. Then I got a new phone number, for reasons unrelated to him. A couple of years, my brother told me this guy moved into his neighborhood and wanted to contact me. My brother said he told him to leave me alone. My brother told me this on the occasion that I announced my engagement. The last I heard from him was about 2 years later, when he tried to add me on his social media, when it was clear that I was married to my now husband. I blocked him immediately. We moved far away, so it's unlikely that I will see or hear from him ever again.

Of the 5 women I have married that are narcs, all 5, #3 was the worst. I was in her clutches for 35 years. I did not know what a narcissist was until after the divorce, and I began reading up on this hellish behavior. I realized #3 was the poster child of narcissism. So went no contact, and I put distance between she and I. I can attest to this fact. The only way out is as you say. NO contact, for any reason. If there must communication, do it through a 3rd unbiased party. But if you speak to the narcissist, you lose. They know the buttons that work to achieve their evil desire to control you. I have been trying to go no contact, he has hacked and stalked my phone for 5 months now with no verbal contact. I have had my last straw, an will now have to resort to getting a lawyer and FBI to get him to stop. Blocking my security camera's. He is terrorizing me with these tactics, he has abused me enuff and now I've really had it, I will do what ever I can to get him locked up .

Anyone ever have a narcissist be the one that breaks all contact out of no where. We just had this as a family. We asked what we did and we got no answers just silence. They also made up stories to another family in our circle which they took as truth without evidence and did the same thing. Almost like it was preplanned. My two sons at the time had been dating their daughters as well who are amazing girls. Forced their daughter to give them their phones and ended all communication with our sons. The second family went so far as to ship their daughter in less then a week half way across the country to live with her dad. All of this leaving our family confused. The saddest part of all this is the first wife said I as the father was mentally Ill-for not agreeing with her nonsense prior to this breakup. The daughters told us everything the first mom had to say about me behind my back. What a crazy week. Never been blindsided quite like this one. Happy we have been shown now only a few months into our connection rather then years.

We are all just useable objects and shadows to them... some will not necessarily "cheat" on you but their supply will come in the form of self-amusement with a hobby or a pastime of some sort. This is why you can even become a little confused with some as they have no gf or bf on the side which makes them appear to be almost normal, just coz they aren't cheating on u, but they ARE using replacements for you, especially if they are cranial or emotional in their basic nature...

I was friends with one for over 40 years and it was exhausting. And I became real sick and I couldn’t tolerate this behavior along with my illness so at this time I decided to just cut it off. This is very intriguing to me. I used to believe narcissists were just more like ego maniacs or something who love to look at themselves in the mirror a lot. How wrong was I though? Now from what I’ve experienced and learned, narcs are described more like sociopaths- no empathy and they just don’t really feel anything. I guess I d like to know what is the true underlying difference between the 2??

Thank you. I’m realizing that I’ve had 3 narcissists in my life. I’m 60 years old and finally understand what I’ve been dealing with and understand why the relationships were so difficult. But I feel sorry for them because I believe each one became this way because of childhood trauma. In 2 of the situations I finally broke it off for my own sanity. The last one is a sister-in-law who I will sever all ties with once her dad (my father in law) passes away and we have cleaned up the estate. He is in his very last days but we need to be civil with her because her dad believes that his family is awesome and loving. I don’t want to break his heart by causing an explosion. I don’t know what she will all do. She has actually controlled her parents her whole life and one sister was her main victim for many years. Because it’s all in the family she has even bullied her through texting. Thankfully the sister moved away and made a very good life for herself with friends a good husband and 3 wonderful children. It was in connecting with this sister that I finally learned about narcissism and we are helping each other to survive.

I moved 3000 miles away from the Narcissist. Was no- contact for 3 years. Then, my son was getting married and I planned to go back for the wedding. The Narc saw this as a way to get revenge on me..... he is Sociopathic. I ended- up not going to the wedding for fear of my safety. Evil, evil man.

Listening to this.... these behaviors are with everyone. You don't have to be a narcissist. Just human. Unless everybody is a narcissist. People's behavior are a lot the same/similar.... I didn't hear anything about love, soul mates, caring. It's like it's all a scam. Power, control and greed. What about real love? Not everyone wants to scam. Just love have a happy life,family together, I think communication is the biggest problem. If you communicate you know where each stand. Not manipulation. Happiest comes from within. We are all whole people. One must be happy with themselves. Become a whole person then become a unit. If you don't have that foundation I think it leads to doom.

This is true. I held out about 5 years. I asked for counselling for the sake of my children and my own lives, before placing contact boundaries. My mother refused counselling, saying I would be too difficult (even though I suggested independent counselling with mediation). I let her back in my life, after some horrific behaviour towards me. It seemed genuine...it was not. Ofcourse I am now blamed for the cutting off of contact and she plays the victim of not seeing the second grandchild. My family has been split. Tries to use the first Grandchild and wife as leverage to her dilemma (subtle as a fox, they would not even know their role). I am now single and estranged from one of my children who has been supported to deceive, gaslight and blame me for being me! True story. His relationship to me is basically nil. Ofcourse Grandmother now takes the mother role. So yes, this is true. Do not go back. It is not genuine at all. This is my experience. All trust lost. Lives in mess. 2 siblings basically estranged. Praying God will restore what the locusts have eaten. My advise for the sake of your own family if you have one is protect them, and if you can create distance. The more the merrier.

Remember after you have done an unsuccessful no contact and got back with them you can only expect to be punished for it
