Lol! I have thought the exact same thing since the first time I saw his videos! I am hooked also! I love how Nate takes care of the cows. I’ll bet he is the same way with his family.
I hope you can get some good rest and be able to think clearly again soon. Matthew 11:28-30, “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Been there myself, hon. If you ever need to reach out, don’t be afraid to! Docs, family, friends, even strangers on the internet (srsly, met one of my besties that way).
Nice to see that a hoof trimmer is closing in on a million subscribers. You folks are some of the unsung heros of the working class. You do very important work, keeping dairy farms healthy, thank you!
Hey Nate, always love the recheck vids. It's nice to see the happy endings. Would u consider doing a behind the scenes type vid? Showing how u care for the equipment, setting up on the farm, getting the cows to the crush etc. Be interesting to see how that side of things is done, esp knowing u work alone (i know the farmers probs help, but u know what i mean lol). Just a random idea 🙂
My grand-daughter is so intrigued by your videos. She will watch it for 1/2 hr at a time. She does have her own chickens & enjoys all farm animals as we are rural.
Thanks Nate for these interesting videos. The care in treating the animals and the patience in explaining your job over and over again is remarkable. Greetings from Argentina
I really like the recheck compilations! If that wrap had been applied more tightly and stayed on like that for two weeks, what are the potential complications? Thanks for making these videos, they always help me relax while I'm studying!
I’m guessing possible circulation and nerve issues in the foot and corium (tissues that grow new sole hoof and wall hoof) causing swelling and extreme discomfort for the cow/heifer with possible permanent nerve damage (in the best case scenario) and cutting off of circulation leading said tissue to die off and become necrotic (in the worst case scenario). Both are certainly bad for the cow/heifer, but the latter would mean certain death for the animal while the former might be manageable, depending on the severity of the damage. Think of having a bandage wrapped to to tightly around your two biggest toes. It would be quite painful.
i'd think its more about airflow to the affected area. think about a cut with band aide on your finger, you wash your hands but dont take off the band aide for 2-3 days@@artchic528
Thank you for getting right into the hoof action, and not starting the videos with 10 minutes of music and footage of driving. (if you know you know). Nate's channel is pure hoof trimming. ☺️👍
I have an idea.. find a dry erase-board, a small one.. when you put the cow in the head-catch, write her number on the board, so it can be seen when you review your videos. Easy to remember who she was. 😉.. so. I been watching for a few months, love the videos. My family was in the dairy business for 39 years. We didn’t have a full time trim man, we were a small farm.. but you are awesome! Keep ‘em coming!
As you were "popping" off the first rubber block from her claw, she's not flinching at all from you pulling on the block! We ask and wonder does trimming her claws hurt, well if you're pulling on that block and she's just hanging there enjoying her Cud, evidence of how tough those claws really are, and how you are not hurting them in the least. Great job, once again Nate
I will tell you what really stuns me is how well that cement holds the block to the hoof. It is hard to believe that with all that movement and weight that the cows wouldn't knock that block off in a couple of days.
Fabulous work!!❤ wonderful healthy healing hooves ! Great job Nate The Hoof Guy😃! Oh by the way your voice kinda reminds me of Marty Stouffer from Wild America 🇺🇸 🥰
nate your videos are awesome, interesting enough that i'm not bored, soothing enough that it's great to watch to wind down at the end of the day. plus i can watch when i have a migraine, which is a huge plus. thanks for being you! 😊
great info on how many things you must do for your customer service when it comes to animals! husky owner with hot spots! mine takes about 3 months for the hair to start coming back like these hooves
Can't stop watching your vids... Makes me want to trim hooves. It also makes me hate all the channels doing similar stuff popping up in my feed now, none of them give me the same sense of satisfaction of watching a true craftsman doing thorough work, with obvious and genuine concern for the animal. It's like watching a doctor. Great channel man.
What I find amazing about you, Nate, is you never seemed to draw blood while working on these animals, such the delicate touch. Viewing other channels with the same content, seems like a daily occurrence with them -- didn't take 3 strokes and blood was drawn. I've watched DOZENS of your videos and I cannot recall one instance seeing this here. Now, I know it happens, and not trying to disparage anyone else. But this what makes you standout from the rest. I'm from the suburbs of Chicago. I have no interest in dairy cows, but as I'm home sick today, your videos have been a source of entertainment for me, I just can't get enough. I'm not sure why. But keep on doing what you're doing. I hope the neck gets better. I'm proud to be one of the million subscribers to your channel. Thank you, and have a great new year. Tamburello 1994.
What a treat today! I'm curious if you've got any plans for a celebration when you hit 1 million subscribers? It's pretty cool to see your channel grow as much as it has.
I think I have been watching you since now almost 2 year. And I really enjoy it a lot. It is just so nicely calm and real. No over exaturated thumbnails no unnecessary scream or so. I really love it. There are sadly way to many of the other kind and we really would need more people that make content like you. Thank for making all this Videos
Now every time you get a comment saying the wraps are gonna fall off because you wrap them too loosely you can refer them to this video to show why you want them to fall off on their own! ;)
