Great advice and tips especially for your area. Yes I have done the three sisters in the past with excellent results. We have a longer growing season here though. That being said I hear a lot of people say they didn't garden this this as last year everything died in the heat wave. One thing for certain is every year can be different.
Halifax, Nova Scotia here. Sorghum sounds something I need to try. I have tried the three sister method. Found out also the corn needs to be way ahead of the beans.
Luckily I also planted the sorghum in trays around the middle to last week of May, then direct seeded beans as well As transplants. My estimate is that then sorghum has to be about 3-4 weeks ahead in our climate
