This is embarrassing to watch. A month ago they were all hating on him now they cant stop talking about him

I stood in a bar at a golf resort in Spain over the last 9 holes and every person in the bar was rooting and cheering for Tiger

I don't care one bit about golf but to see this man fall from the heights he once held ..and come all the way back to win again years later...that's why I'm here

Two days later and I still can’t believe it. This Friday is my 45th bday and I wasn’t going to do anything, but now I’m taking the day off to play golf with my dad.

28-3 was a big one for me. I turned the game off at 28-3. I checked in on the score on Google some. I saw that the Patriots were driving to tie the game, ran to the TV and was in awe of what Brady and the Patriots managed to pull off. What a great sports moment.

The last 5 years have been trying to rebuild his body and his game. 2 years ago he thought it was over. Then he was happy to play, but there were questions if he could win. Then he won the Tour Championship. Then there were questions of if he could win a major. Now he's done that. The flood gates are open. He's #6 in the world and got there in a year. He probably always knew he could do it, but now he *knows* he can do it. He is going to go on a run over the next 5 years. That's 20 major attempts to win 3 for a tie and 4 to break the record. He can pace himself like he used to because he doesn't have to play his way back into form or play his way into eligibility. He will be laser focused on the majors. He knows how to peak. He will play fewer events, like he did in his prime, but now it will be to keep his back healthy. The young guns better put on their seatbelts.

More popular when he now is a better person who overcame so much and now able to beat all the better athletes nowadays!

Tiger will be more popular now. It's crazy to have watched his entire career and it comes to this. Not a golf fan but I understand the game and this was special.

Tiger will catch and pass Jack. Last 3 majors, led the Open in the final round, finished 2nd in the PGA then won the Masters. He is back and playing well in big tournaments.

The first time i saw Tiger played golf was like early morning here in our country. I don't play golf, until now, and its not a popular sports here, and i just knew some basic rules of the game. But i was glued to the TV until 3 am to watch the guy. The next day, i did some research and information about golf and about the man. I followed his games and careers and i saw how he dominates the world of golf. I also saw his downfalls and breakdown. But I still read and follow his games and thinking at the back of my mind, come on Tiger just one more time. And he did it. Maybe im just one of the million (silent) fans that now lucky enough to witness this most memorable story that Tiger written for us. Let's cherish the moment while the man still plays golf and inspire us that once in the field of any sports there is one man that connect us AS ONE, all over the world. Thank you Sir Tiger!

Let's be honest. everybody wrote Tiger off. This is a true come back/redemption story. Good for him.

It depends on what you consider popular. He was super famous in his prime, but not necessarily super well liked. He's becoming more well liked now after going through so much. People can relate to that and the fact that he seems to be a much nicer human being now than he was back then will serve him well going forward.

I think Tiger knows he cannot overpower to win anymore, he used patience, skill, and intelligence to win. Playing this way will put less pressure on his body and give him the best chance to get that record! He has such insane pressure put on him by his father, I think he is finally playing for himself or it feels this way. What an amazing achievement!

I'm to young to have paid attention to Tiger in his prime and understand just what he meant to the game of golf but I'm also old enough to have caught and understand when Tiger said he didn't identify as being Black. Now if he had said he didn't just want to be known as the Black golfer that would've been cool whatever but he said something far different. Still congrats to Tiger.

To the question of whether Tiger can be top tier moving forward, not only have others won majors after the age of 40, but Tiger has grooved a technique that none other had before this age of golf. His technique is more powerful and more accurate than Jack's technique afforded him. He has access to better equipment and technology.. It is Tiger's short game that will lift him ultimately. Tiger has a short game that Jack could only dream about. Even Jack has stated that tid bit, many times in fact. Will Tiger win more majors? Of course he will because he instinctively knows when to attack, and when to pull back on the reigns and void strategic errors. The green is long and shallow on 12. The trouble is that when the flag is right side, any shot short will roll back into the water, and that is exactly why that berm was built so steeply. When the flag is left, the water is out of play. What Tiger did was take the water completely out of play, because approaching over that trap meant that any shot ending up short would be on the beach instead of ending up wet, and Tiger is excellent out of the sand in such an event anyway. It wasn't that the others fell apart per se... they slightly mishit when they had taken a dangerous line to attack the flag's position. If any of them had succeeded, they would most likely have gone on to win. At the minimum it would have forced Tiger's hand, and he would have gone flag hunting in return. As to Tiger moving forward now, the truth is long before he played Rocco on his bad leg, his body was in terrible shape. His repeated snapping of that post leg so sharply, was so close to hyper-extending that knee on his chase for power, that leg was never going to be able to last an entire career in my opinion. All it would take is a wet day where his foot slips out as he transitioned onto that post he sprung off of, and his knee was toast. He was jacked up for a few years before his back went out. He had knee and neck issues. He was winning less often, sure, but he was still winning. His back crippled him pretty much. I am as surprised as everyone else is that he came back from not be able to simply stand, to winning the Masters. He returned to form so quickly, it is a testament to his knowledge of a proper swing technique, and his familiarity with his personal swing. Hold on folks, the real Tiger is playing through now (once again). Not the busted up one who had to take a knee. Tiger is going to teach you how to play the game once more. Pay attention, this is your last chance to watch up close. (Clue: It isn't just his swing that was always on point. It was his mind and focus as well.)

8:50 clearly you know nothing about playing.....I believe he throttled it back to hit more fairways.....there were two swings where his ball speed spiked up to 177mph ballspeed. Only 3mph behind Brooks and Tony..... Most of the day he was in the high 160mph ball speed....thats for hitting fairways.....Molinari length is underestimated, he's as long as Spieth now....recent major winner. Tiger is the most superior Iron Player of all time! He can hit it close like a Henrik Stenson who is comfortable hitting 6 and 7 irons from 200 yards and hit is closer than anyones wedges.
