I'm going to tell you something that I've been told my whole life: "you won't be happy in a relationship if you're not happy single." I get that it's hard being single. I'm single now (since I'm being honest, I've always been single) and the vast majority of my friends and family are in relationships, so it's become pretty hard to ignore. But the key is to not let it bother you so much. Keep doing what you love and the right person will eventually find you. To give you some examples of what I've been doing: I've thrown myself into working on finishing school, getting them GAINZ, yoga, and doing various art projects. I get that it's hard, but hang in there! The right person will find you when you're ready and they're ready, and it will most likely be completely unexpected :) TL/DR: Hang in there! The right person will come along when you least expect it.
Sugar, as someone who has been alone every year on valentine's day except for once, I will say it is absolutely lonely, BUT it's a hundred percent better to be alone and loving yourself than being with someone who doesn't treat you right or love you. The right person comes along when you least expect it, which yes is super cliche, but it is is very true. For everyone out there who is feeling lonely, you're not alone. We've all been there and we support you all the way babycakes. You are so strong and this will be so worth it as it gives you time to discover who you are. You got this!

There are definitely days where I'd do anything to not be single but I'm pretty firmly rooted in my own comfort zone that it would take a pretty special guy to get me into a relationship again.

The best Valentine's Day I ever had was when I spent it on safari in the Serengetti with a friend. No couple nonsense to deal with, just wild animals. We barely remembered it was Valentine's Day. We also forgot to drink the bottle of wine that we had brought us.

I hate to say it but there are those things about being in a relationship that don't get shown on social media like the arguments, the point at 2am when their snoring makes you feel seriously murderous and that vague seething resentment that builds every time they don't change the toilet roll. Add in kids and you're in a whole heep of new and exciting ways to feel stressed 😥 Fully aware that there are lots of positives too but sod's law, the right person will turn up when you're not looking so take the time to enjoy the positives of being single and remember Valentine's isn't just a day it's also a massacre 😉
