29 Life Lessons we all should know to live a happier life 

The "Better or Bitter" is A+. I freaking love it. It probably took me until about 30 as well to stop being afraid of failure and it's still something that can be really hard to internalize. But man, if it isn't the God's honest truth, no one starts as a master. Failure is just part of the learning process.

We're all just a bit winging it through life. There is no plan, and if there is a plan, it changes constantly. Try to be happy, accept yourself, accept all others, be nice, be honest, live! I speak from my own experience, heading to the next series of radiation therapy, your outlook on life changes and your own mortality is extremely nearby. So, take it from an old, sick woman, be healthy and do what makes you happy!💋🌻❤☀️

I admit music has been a constant in my life. I play guitar, but I have serious performance anxiety. It took me until I was 40 and joined FB of all places, to realize I wasn't alone. I've graduated to posting videos on tiktok and have busked in my neighborhood. You're right, it didn't get easier, I got stronger. Thanks for this video, cheers.

Great video! Not having many friends used to bug me growing up, mostly because other people told me that meant something was wrong with me. Now I’m just grateful to have 3 genuine friends that I know will stick by me. I think the pandemic has at least helped others realize that it’s quality not quantity

Young man, these lessons were all good, indeed but just one more I'd add after a few more years of living ...never regret a moment/or something that's made you smile! My granny said to me once when she was revived after a heart attack...child it all plays on a loop as your time is shorter, everything that's ever made us smile...so live. Oh, to be 29 again and having learned these life lessons 😆 Almost 10 years later and I'm still at a loss on a LOT of them. Great job and thank you for keeping the part about the cape. It rocks 🤟#capeage 😉

This was a really good life lesson, you're really good at explaining stuff. I wish I knew all of this 35 years ago... Can you imagine, for instance, that I've never had a relationship and therefore intimacy, I've got no friends, no more dreams, basically no life. 💔 I'm not a bad person, but I got stuck in depression.

Don't we all wish to know such things earlier? But while talking with all sorts of people I've come to realisation that know all this or hear someone telling us about such things hits different at different ages. One can hear such lessons at 15 or 20 and don't really understand, and another will hear it at 30 or 40 and, well, yes, regret not hearing any of that lessons earlier. The irony is that it all sinks in better the more experience we have. If time for lesson isn't right, we can curtanly repeat and retranslate the thought we heard, but won't be able to fully integrate it in life. I'm not saying such lessins shouldn't be spoken, just... no one should regret not hearing some of it. Because there is a high chance we did read it or heard it, but wasn't able to grasp at the moment.

Totally on the same page here. Don't be afraid to take time for yourself. When I broke up with my ex, I took a year and a half off to take care of myself and get in a good mindset. Too much to talk about online. There was a lot of mental abuse and he was trying to separate me from my friends and family. I wasn't planning for that long before I thought about trying to date. Just everything going on.... Just how it ended up happening.

This is incredible to listen to and take in, wow 🙏🏻✨ Some deep truths, I know you opened some minds and hearts with this one! Love the part where you speak on life not getting easier-you get stronger. Been working on my heart and self and I think on that lesson like a mantra when I work out or while I’m at work 🙏🏻 thank you!

We judge other's actions by their impact, and our own by their intent. Ideally we consider both for both, yeah?

I'll be turning 28 this year. While I have learned most of these lessons it feels good to hear someone else say them out loud. It helps to reinforce them knowing that others feel the same. There are some I am still actively working on but now I know I can come back and watch this video and it will remind me that I am doing the right thing.

It’s not failures, it’s experiences. Also, sometimes even blood, sweet and tears still doesn’t work, and that’s ok.

Both people have to want to work on the relationship. There will be ups and downs. I've been looking for someone that complements me(as in we work well together). We don't have to like all the same stuff. Have mutual respect and willing/wanting to continue to learn and grow together. There are different kinds of intimacy. Don't be afraid to have nights out w the friends away from each other. Trust is important in a relationship. It's not about control. It's about both wanting a life with each other. Being with someone that supports you being your best you. (During highs and lows.)

Those are great lessons to learn, especially by 29.

I just wanted to jump on the “college isn’t for everyone” point and say if college IS for you, there’s no shame in going to a community college, especially if you don’t know what you want to pursue yet. Work on getting the gen ed classes out of the way and give yourself time to figure it out before going to a university.

I am 60ish and all you are saying is true. especially live for today. No one is promised tomorrow. But for most of us tomorrow does come, along with bills, so yes, Save money. Work at getting 7 months of bills saved up. Why 7? because you might find yourself with new bills and now you have them covered for 6 months.

You learned a lot of those lessons earlier in life than I did.

Thanks for this, it resonated a lot. I loved both versions, the live and this one, but I think this one connected even deeper. It's interesting, I think my mind process better concrete ideas, it kinda gets overwhelmed when there are too many things happening at the same time, maybe because all the overthinking is already creating by itself and its dispersed nature LOL 🤭 But letting my mind's craziness aside, all this points are really great. 💯❣️ P.S. The point about relationships reminded me a Teal Swan's quote I can't agree more with: "Love may be unconditional but relationships aren't." That hits deep... Keeping the feet on reality makes a huge difference when building relationships, that's one thing I'd definitely like my younger self understood, but, well, live and learn, right? 😁

Yes, relationships are work, but it's a work you want to do. It often doesn't even feel like work and they're just hard, when there is only one person working on it. Think about it like this, two people working together can move a sofa easily, alone it's almost not possible and draining.

No worries about the numbering - what's good enough for Star Wars, is good enough for you. Wait WHAT?! WHO wants massive amounts of friends? Noooooo..... Fewer is better - you have more time to work on those relationships. I was lucky - I figured that out as a little kid. Didn't make life any easier, but was very useful to know.

I don't know if you reply to youtube comments, I'm taking a chance... You said to cut people out of your life, I guess you mean people who are not good for you. Then you said that you should cut out the loneliest person in a room, but what if that person is lonely for a reason that is not negative for you? I guess you mean to cut that person out if it is alone because a personality that makes others dislike it and that person will eventually cause problems in your own life but... What if the person is lonely because they don't feel like they click with the other people, because they are different, or too geeky for the cool crowd, etc.
