I am in Australia, he is not far wrong. Big thing that chills people out about lockdown is that you can still get money. Personally every time they announce a lockdown, I take it as an instruction to get drunk.
@@20bcosmo fucken bought shit tuns of crap I didn't need ay Built a dunie outside, just to be closer to the Barbie, when I'm laying cable like a sparkie!
Casuals were making full time money at one stage. We also have a lot of public servants a nd NGO staff unaffected and in some instances getting pay rises whilst 'working' from home and will vote big gov again.
@@Azeminad Tim himself , said we’re only 2 or more variants away from THE BIG ONE, if they keep getting deadlier like the media claims , Delta , Lambda …..
Lockdown sucks, I want to go to bondi beach and just do nothing and sit on the beach or surf or head to the pub and have beers with mates. Miss going to the footy AFL and NRL. We are simple, love a good barby and get smashed but we hate lockdown.
No. The people here clearly love lockdowns. Just look at the news ffs, it's all sensational pieces about how we need harsher lockdowns and the people love it cos it's like watching a horror movie.
i live in rural Australia ( basically not Melbourne or Sydney but in between the 2). we didn't really notice we were in lock down. i think my towns covid numbers were in the double digits, Why? because we kept people from Melbourne and Sydney from traveling. We still had BBQs and visited people, we just keep the number low and stayed quiet. It ended up our pubs opened early to those who got double vaxed WAY before the major cities , because Rural areas were given different restrictions to major heavily populated areas. in fact, once people we where double vaxed it was ''What Virus.''
I’m Australian and I loved my job, and I love working, unfortunately I’m not vaccinated so I’ve been stood down…..I’m yet to find an employer who will take unvaccinated people. So I decided to focus on creating my own business. Australia’s shitty Covid mandates are all because we’re under a useless monarch. It’s no coincidence that Canada, New Zealand and Australia are facing such tough restrictions.
Haha, Babe and Bondi… as an Australian, I can confirm Babe and Bondi are the the high points of our culture. Now, let’s get pissed and fire up the barbie!
Another Aussie confirming everything this man is saying is true!!! Except for the schiskabob that's shit is too fancy!! Snags are cheaper doesnt cut into your fosters money lol
Australians are raised to believe that the rest of the world loves them. The Grindr profile of every Australian references their nationality and flag. The national economy is mostly digging up coal to sell to the Chinese. The “culture” is sport and residential real estate. Rupert Murdoch owns the media there too; that’s why random Australian stories appear in the US media, and vice versa - it’s cheaper to duplicate content. Otherwise who would care about their lockdown?
I wouldn't be so quick to judge other countries Lockdowns considering your country has had more covid deaths than our country has had cases. Maybe you can learn something from us true blue Aussies down under mate.
All the stats on covid are unreliable. I personally know of people who have died in car accidents and have had cancer for years and they went down as a covid death. If you believe in the death ticker then you are the target demo of this rant
don't knock australia too hard tim. somehow they figured out how to run the american republican party from halfway across the world and no one seems to notice.
Republicans are the ones who want total lockdowns. They also run tech, media and social media companies. They are the ones who are taking away guns and want to limit your freedom of speech. Those evil republicans!
@@ivermectin1974 you missed the point. why do australian media companies run the american republican party? why do american "patriots" take their marching orders from australian? you know, the people who fed you those extremely original talking points. evil? no. stupid? yes.
@@screechweiner2921 cuz Rupert Murdoch has alot of cashhhh! Mate. And your rich billionaires love investing money in our ridicuously inflated Sydney property market.
Most Australians are. It's cost me a job and being able to play sport. Tim actually should get one of us Aussies on his podcast one day to talk about it cos I'm a proud Aussie and I don't like being spoken about and especially with a terrible accent. Let us tell you how it really is down here. Yea we lockedown but your so wrong about how we feel about it. America seriously does not teach world history, well we learn everything here
he's not too far off, only thing that really shitted me was gyms being closed and the occasional karen down the beach. what he doesn't get is that a lot of us don't even believe in it - i've found it's only really the boomers who actually have to deal with their own mortality for once that even care - but it's that bri-ish prisoner ancestry that makes us wanna 'go along to get along' (see: tall poppy syndrome). this is the real feeling, at least deep down, for most gen x and below: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9_p_2FYJwEU.html the common sentiment here of seeing, even the US' final gasps of liberty and standing their ground, as yet more typical 'american ego' is truly sickening. there's a lot of completely unfounded american hate here, especially when murica is both our own traditional ideal (free speech, gunz, legal dudeweedlmao, castle doctrine etc) and our implicit main influence/partner at this point (barring china of course).
