@@tebekoloko7869 it's weird huh?? Comes outta nowhere... I can't remember what I was eating but it was something so tough that I woke up with lockjaw or whatever you call this 😅 hoping it's working well for you !
3 years in agony, and ive seen a lot of videos, but this little short is an absolute gem. Not a complete fix but first time hitting this spot and it was tender. Good work! Thank you :)
@@DarainZahra-nn4ez sorry for the confusion. It was NOT a bone. It was a muscle. It was just so tight that it felt like a bone. It was very hard and still and painful to the touch. I poked and proded at it until i could close my jaw normally, though it still had a light pop. After a couple of days now it is about 90% well again. I feel I am currently at risk of injuring it again. But I will give it rest and continue massaging it until it has been well for a couple weeks
Thank you so much! I can't believe how tight my muscle was. I followed your instructions and it helped loosen my jaw. Where is your practice I want to visit❤
I wish I knew what the cause of my pain was from period It almost feels like my muscles just never stop overworking, and like my tongue doesn't know how to just rest and relax in my mouth and as a result my jaw muscles get so tight. I'm going to try this now I hope it helps.
@KariAndJessi It comes back every now and then, but it's definitely better with the massage compared to before, but yeah I still get ear pain sometimes which is uncomfortable :/
@@koobuns Aww sorry to hear. I've been trying to figure out what's wrong with my jaw for a while. Do you massage everyday the way the video showed? And how many times a day? Sorry for all the questions
@KariAndJessi I massaged it just like he showed, only when it feels uncomfortable to open my mouth or eat. Since I massaged it the first time a month ago, I only had to do it like twice.
Weirdly enough antihistamines fixed the whole disorder for me...... 😮Seems like my sinuses were inflamed without any symptoms of allergies but pushed on my nerve hence the pain and tightness.
@@annakquinn7084 any type of antihistamine or antinflamatory will help. This sucks, been doing mma years but some random drunk girl socked me in the jaw and my tmj reset right bsck
I think chewing gum ruined my jaw. I did it aggressively so i understand. I should've known to take care of my jaws. My jaw doesnt actually makes a clicking sound but when i open my mouth, the lower jaw goes way further more even tho i just slightly open my mouth. It bothers me cuz when i open my mouth,i have to be careful on closing it so that it goes the right way where they should be. Kinda scared lol
No that is not for all. Mine started when I was 15 because I got my wisdom teeth out and they left me with a uneven bite. The uneven bite caused me to grind my teeth. I asked them if they could fix it by smoothing the other teeth or something and they said no. Now it is so bad that it pops out of the joint. I can barely touch the joint. My jaw is so tight I sound like I have an accent even though I’m American.
@@vi3trai also heard that with this ir actually throws balance off and your jaw compensates by giving you poor posture then it gets worse because of poor postures. Its wild
@@braderley I said I sound like it. When your jaw is as tight as mine is, it's hard to open your mouth and therefore it's harder to say certain vowels or words. My jaw gets to a tension point where it gets stuck and then it has to pop to open the rest of the way. But I can't do it while I talk. So I have a limited amount of space to be able to speak... it's actually common if you get severe TMD.
Yes actually. We see a lot of pt that can manifest sinus problems without much “jaw pain”. Sometimes they just have ear pain/congestion and nothing else. Sometimes you gotta do a little trial and error.
This is so crazy I thought I was the only one getting this. My sinus is acting up and when it started acting up my jaw muscle started getting tight and it feels like a flitter feeling or a pop feeling.
@@staceyazzie : i wanted to wash out my sinuses, i tried a neti-pot a few years ago, but it caused intense pain in my nose and sinuses, so i said screw that. all the sprays under the sun did the same. oddly enough i fought sone kind of virus a month ago and i was told to gargle because it was in my throat and it was due to post nasal drip. so i decided to give the neti-pot a try again but not with saline, i put warm water and a 1/4 teaspoon of colloidal silver. two weeks i’ve bed. doing this and it’s work great. still have discomfort while watching but it goes away after a few minutes. first warm neti-pot full gets the silver. the second warm neti-pot is water only. always boil the water, let cool. then you can use a glass peanut butter jar to warm it in the microwave for thirty seconds. i still have popping in my jaw because of a punch i got as a kid, but my sinuses are obviously not connected to my jaw. this has been going on and off for six years. i’m really excited about knowing what to do about this sinus pain, and wanted to share. it would be great if this helped one person. maybe more pro will read this and try it. i hope you resolve your pain and fast !!!
Other way for me antihistamines fixed my whole disorder ,sinus was inflamed without any other symptoms,it pushed on my nerves ,thought I had TMJ for years.
@@CDankies I have been having a sinus infection almost every month for the past 6 months. then the other day my jaw felt weird and I was messing with it and it clicked and SHIFTED like my whole entire jaw and face felt completely different and I can actually breathe a LOT better now and my congestion has gone done but I still have some ear congestion and pain. is that crazy or something that happens? I have been waking up with a sore jaw ever since that day last week now and I keep stretching and shifting it back and forth. Thoughts how to fix?
I’m trying to figure it out right now and it feels like it works if you massage the muscle with the back of your fingernail. Still haven’t unstuck my jaw
I have a question Do board certified tmd Orofacial pain dentist work as physical therapist to Can become employee to treat tmj problems in physical therapist facilities
I have severe TMJ issue since 10+ years and I tried massaging it myself but oh my God it was sooooooo damn painful that started i crying I just can't bare this pain any longer but also don't know what to do.
@@xToymachine1031 no my jaw was not locked i could open it but really little bit could say barely open it and could fit only about less than a half my finger in my mouth.
@@soft_threads I was in the same boat 2 months ago I was so frustrated I forced my mouth open but after I took some muscle relaxers & I used the gag reflex to open & I was able to catch my disk. after I was able to open wide you might want to give that a try took 4-5 times to catch my disk there’s no pain but it does feel crunchy now but I open wide again with no pain
imma try this with my dog, she recently opened her mouth too wide and her jaw dislocated the same way mine has which usualy has clicking or noises pain ext before hand so I think She has lock jaw, but theres nothing at all about helping this shit in sogs so imma assume its caused by the aame issues and can sometimes just be from age, or genetics if one is unlucky
Hi. I'm from India. My son is 14 years old.. He has TMJ problem last two months. Not a major, But when he opens his full mouth, at that time he is feels pain at right side near ear (TM joints) and beard is turn slightly right side at last. He eating and speaking normally. No any other pain. He do his all works very well. Doctor say that right side TM disc is slip from TM JOINTS. He suggest for surgery.. Sir, I'm not want to go for surgery.. Please tell me, what am I do..??? How to set disc fix at proper without surgery.?
@@renu653 Thanks sir, But... in MRI, disc is displacement without reduction. So we decide for arthroscopic surgery, Doctor do very well result in surgery. Now my son is very happy.. And no any pain..
Hello, I’m 18 and for some while I experienced the pain, however it’s gone like a week ago. For some reason when try to leave some space between my upper and lower tooth I feel a slight vibration of my jaw. Should I be worried?
I had that clicking/Poppin sounds for a year now although i haven't experiences that so called pain sensation😅 im just gana ask out of curiosity is it a permanent thing? or is it just me?
dislocated my jaw a few years ago. The tmj disc has moved from its place on the right side (you can see it in the MRI). Today I open my mouth in an s shape. I tried to consult experts but they don't know what can be done. Is there an exercise I can do to put the joint back in place? Does it make sense that after the discharge my jaw tends towards the discharge but the closing of the mouth is normal?
I think I found it and in my case, my tmj is still purely cosmetic so I just feel some tightness and for the rest an asymmetric jaw. So yeah, I found this muscle and I felt that it was bigger and stronger/tighter than the left one. The thing that confuses me is that my masseter muscles (and In general my left jaw) are imbalanced oppositely, so the left one is bigger than the right one even though the right side is tighter and that one inner muscle is bigger. My tongue is also bent on the right side, like it gets lower on the right like a slope. I really wanna address this whole stuff mainly cause of insecurities but also because I think that over time it could become a serious issue all combined. If anyone has any advice, I will warmly accept it, please
Funny story, I thought i had tmj and i tried allsorts then it got worse one day and then the top of my neck started hurting with palpitations. I was having a stroke. 😂😂😂.. Never ever had TMJ. Stupid google. See a real doctor. 😂
@feelg00d21 didn't get chance to see a doctor really. Never had any issues in health before but that jaw pain few days prior. All I kept thinking it was a toothache or TMJ. Only when the back pain occurred and chest got heavy i started worrying.
Some ppl can't afford that. A lot of ppl that have TMJ (including me) are blamed for just overreacting to get drugs. Plus, jaw surgeries ate the most painful and extensive ones. This is not meant to be rude, just some info as to why it ain't all that easy
