So, i'm the creator of the two Toad Simulator Scratch "games" that you looked at and also a fan of your videos, and I gotta say it's pretty cool to know you had a look at them! As many people have picked up on, the original Toad Simulator is heavily inspired by a bit in SMG4's Mario Simulator video. With my lack of skill in making most anything in 2015, it was an easy project to program and put out for a quick laugh. Just something stupid for the sake of being stupid. However, it blew up for a while and was really popular, so that encouraged me to make Toad Sim 2016. Since Toad Sim 2015 was a cheap gag project that was rushed out, I wanted to try a little bit harder and that led to the creation of the Clicker mode, which required more involved programming than classic mode's "Press A" mechanic. There was almost a third game called Toad Simulator 2017: The Toadening, but I had lost motivation to work on them at that point. All that exists on the WIP file is an unfinished introductory sequence that would act as a bait and switch. The intro sequence was another variant of the Classic moment, but it would slowly become corrupted as you kept pressing A before being presented a jumpscare. After an apology, you would be taken to a menu where you could select from an improved Classic Mode, larger Clicker Mode, and a new third mode. But as previously stated, I only had began work on the intro before throwing in the towel. For something explicitly designed to be a stupid throwaway gag of a project, i'm as surprised as anyone that it got as popular as it did. I don't really use my Scratch account much anymore, only occasionally logging in to test things or animate short clips that I don't upload or use for other sites. But i'm glad to see that Toad Sim and it's sequel are still being recognized despite how brain-numbingly dumb they are. Thanks for checking them out, and keep up the good work Connor. :)
Even though this 3 weeks ago I decided to comment anyway. I looked it up and yes mushrooms aren't vegetables, at least not TRUE vegetables. But they are, by the U.S Department of Agriculture, still considered vegetables bc they provide many of the same nutritional attributes.
@@lucasgantenbein But watching youtube videos IS something for free time. If you complain that watching him takes away your free time, then that means you don't want to watch him at all, meaning you don't like him.
The only way I wanna do is a time to be able to get my car done today I can not do the thing and do it for me when I’m in a little town or not I can do a lot more stuff to get out there
He's also the captain of the toad Brigade y'all to find a bunch of treasure you don't have enough confidence to give you the middle finger in the first Mario game
ConnerTheWaffle: So this is just your average 2D Mario Flash game but bad. So you know, every 2D Mario Flash game. Super Mario Crossover: *Okey-dokey I'ma gonna head out.*
You should do a video on scratch games that are actually good! A lot of middle schoolers would appreciate it! And it would be a nice break from all the other crap
"So this is just your average 2D Mario flash game, but bad. So y'know, _every_ 2D Mario flash game." Despite the fact this is actually a lazy ripoff of Super Mario Flash. Y'know, a _good_ Mario flash game. Well, it was good for its time at least. Also I call boosh on your claims Conner. I mean, have you even played Super Mario 63?
*Fun Fact!* Toad Simulator was originated from an *SMG4* video, Mario Simulator, where Mario does wacky and menial tasks. Toad can be seen playing his own game, Toad Simulator.
The toad game at 5:06 uses level design from a old 2000s online flash game from a website that is called 100 free school games and it has Mario Allstars grafics
I remember contributing to the toad simulator problem in 2016. What's scary is that all those points/clicks are from January, because cloud variables were reset on Jan 01 when the editor was reformatted.
I wonder how many of these Super Mario Flash and Super Mario Flash 2 hacks Conner is gonna play before he figures out that they're the same dang thing.
That Ninja Jajamaru game was originally going to be released stateside as Squashed, hence the veggie puns. However, plans for that never came to fruition.
