I was not suprised, "Greg" felt very reminiscent of Ban Ban, and I thought it would be a Ban Ban character when they mentioned a one-eyed orange thing.

Which, amazingly, means that Choo Choo Charles is in this universe

So I don't get it... Greg is the one to draft the player to the team. Why is he then trying to kill the player?

yeh. ludonarrative dissonance is one of those terms people like arin tend to overuse. This was just an example of greg being arrogant and incorrect.

@@Nowolf ​ The part that was Ludonarrative dissonance, is the game telling the player that the anchor _"will"_ work, in spite of Greg's bluff saying it wouldn't. From the character's perspective, the anchor does *_not_* always harm enemies, like when it stuns them instead of hurting them. There's little reason why the character should ignore Greg's warning when a armor meched shark *_should_* be far more defended than the enemies up to that point, but the player is outright told the anchor is still useful, leading the player to play the character differently than what may have naturally ocurred without the 4th wall breaking prompt. Arin was correct in his use of Ludonarrative dissonance. Regardless of how minor it is, this is an error on the game dev's part. *_"but I have a feeling your anchor won't be enough this time..."_* should only be worded this way, if the gameplay mechanics the player learned up to that point may not be enough to beat the boss, like needing to find and shut down a power transmitter to weaken Greg's mech, for instance. Nearly any other wording of the Greg's smack-talk would have negated the need for the 4th wall breaking hint that the anchor still works.
