Tom Jones and Elvis were great friends. They were a lot alike. Tom Jones was knighted by Queen Elizabeth and is now Sir Tom Jones, Up until 2019 (at 80 years old) he was a judge on Britain's The Voice. I've loved Tom since forever. He's got the pipes...and the moves!

He was only 27 yrs old here - so suave & debonaire with such a smooth, melodic yet powerful voice... I was born the year this came out. As a little kid I remember my mom, aunties, their friends, & hell, even their mothers all and I mean ALL of them had huge crushes on Sir Tom Jones. Whenever he came on the TV, they would all crowd around it & get all giggly like a bunch of school girls. It was funny how they'd yell at us kids (or the husbands) to keep the noise down so they could hear him sing. :-) Elvis Presley was a fan & close friend, often saying that Tom's voice was the best he's ever heard. In fact, Tom's nickname is "The Voice". He is from Wales, UK & recently celebrated his 80th b-day. He can still belt out the songs & was still doing shows until all this stupid COVID business became a reality... I remember watching clips of his concerts & all the women were either fainting & passing out onto the floor or throwing their panies on stage. As a kid, i didn't understand what was driving these ladies so crazy to strip off their underwear to toss them and their hotel room keys at his feet. Now I do understand. It even has a term called the Tom Jones Effect. LOL - no joke! :-) Ok, you must now check out, in this order - "Delilah" and then "Green green grass of home" - seriously dark/deep lyrics, but Tom sings them so beautifully that you forget what the songs are actually about. :-) For some lighter, more upbeat tunes check out She's a Lady, It's not unusual, & KISS (his cover of Prince's hit song with the British band, Art of Noise).

I am so tickled and amazed watching these young ladies' (you're not the only lady critiquing Tom Jones) reaction to one of the world's original voices singing one of the greatest songs of all time. Simple, beautiful and exquisite story telling with a wonderful tune performed with passion, feeling and interpretation only Tom Jones can give. I'm fortunate to have grown up with this music.

Tom Jones and Elvis were good friends. He was at Graceland many times with Elvis and they were fans of each other's music.. They always had a friendly rivalry going on in 1969 and early 70s. When Elvis started in Vegas in 1969 as a joke Tom sent him a telegram wishing him luck and saying..."Break a leg..literally!" They had a good laugh about it afterwards. 🎼🎶🎵🇨🇦

Tom Jones has one of the greatest male singing voices of all-time. In England, they called him "The Voice". You made a good choice with "I'll Never Fall In Love Again" being your first Tom Jones song to react to. It really showcases his incredible voice. Tom Jones met Elvis in 1965. They mutually admired and respected each others work. They became friends and remained close for the rest of Elvis' life. On the internet, you can find many pictures of the two of them together. My favorite Tom Jones songs that I would recommend and would love for you to do reaction videos for are "It's Not Unusual", "She's A Lady", "Delilah", and "Love Me Tonight". ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE SINGERS, SINCE THE 60'S.

Sir Tom is a judge on Britain's The Voice and I recently heard him at now the age of 80 do a spontaneous rendition of this song and it killed...The man has not lost his voice even at his age. I used to watch his television shows and he would sing with so many great artists of the era and never miss a beat, from Jerry Lee Lewis to Dean Martin and many many more. Watch his video of Delilah. GIrls were going nuts in the audience, of course. Live on Sir Tom, make the people of Wales even more proud than they already are!

His good friend Elvis once asked Sir Tom how he was able to sing like that …. this guy could sing his socks off - he was Britains answer to Elvis.

"Delilah" from the same time frame..I went to his concert in the early 70s my mom made go..I think I was the only Male there.lol but he had such a powerful voice.they could have cut his mic and you would still hear him.

I'm an old guy who has played guitar in bands since the 60s. I grew up with the Beatles, Stones, Clapton, Hendrix, but I also grew up with Frank Sinatra and Swing Bands. This performance by Tom Jones is the most powerful male vocal performance I've ever seen. He had a better voice than any of his contemporaries, including Elvis. Tom married his high school sweetheart when both were in their teens. They stayed married until she died in 2016. He's quite a man. I'm a blues guy and a rocker. I thought he was a pop star/sex symbol back then but even then, I saw this performance and thought it was the most powerful, emotional and ON KEY WITHOUT AUTOTUNE song I've ever heard. Tom can still sing this song. He can't hit that high A at the end now, but he can sing the rest. Sir Tom. I admire him much more now than I did back when he had his show. Having said that, I also watched his show whenever I got the chance. Women are touched by this song, and the first chorus usually gets them. Guys are impressed by the manliness of the voice. ALL of us wish we could sing like that. Thanks for this.

Tom was the Elvis of the 60's. Wonderful voice and very nice to look at. Women would go crazy at his performances and throw their underwear on the stage. He had many hit songs and was a terrific performer. But for me, this is the best of them all. I loved your reaction, as you were caught off guard with the quality and power of his performance, and of course, the beauty of this fantastic song. Tom and Elvis were very close friends. Tom has some hilarious stories about the two of them. Tom is very unique, in that even though he is from the UK, he has alot of American country and gospel music influence in the way he sings. Which I believe he got from people like Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis. He is awesome!
