My favorite person in a cowboy hat ever is this dude who would come into the grocery store I worked at about ten years ago. He would come in for his weekly 30 pack of Bud Light wearing a full cowboy ensemble...hat, button down shirt, leather vest, jeans, boots, big ass belt buckle, and even fucking spurs...and then walk into the parking lot and get into a little blue Hyundai

I saw a cop in Texas and almost started laughing because his cowboy hat was so damn big, made Hoss Cartwright's hat look small.

I wear my cowboy hat all the time and i find this hilarious. But if you work outside in this texas heat all day a cowboy hat is a miracle worker. As well as steel toe waterproof cowboy boots, saved my foot mutipal times and i will never work in anything else.

Many years ago in the late 1980's I was a closeminded metalhead forced to move to the south, so I rebelled against all things "country" and southern. One day my friend's step-brother comes to pick him up, he's wearing the turkey-platter size belt buckle, shit-kicker boots, and the cowboy hat. Thinking I'm the world's greatest smart-ass, I ask him why he's dressed for Halloween, he tells me he's going to be a country singer. I rip off Carlin and tell him he's "not a cowboy, the closest he's ever been to a cow is to stop and take a piss at an Arbys". Dude had 6" and about 50lb of muscle on me, he could(should) have kicked the living crap out of me. Instead he collects his brother, says goodbye all nice and polite... Goes on to become one of the biggest names in modern country music. Still not a fan of country music or cowboy hats, but it took me years after that to learn not to be an idiot to people, even if they do wear Halloween costumes all year round...

I worked on a ranch for a summer with guys that I'd say actually are real cowboys. I've also been around guys like Tom is describing and there's way more of them.

If you see a guy wearing a cowboy hat indoors then he is most certainly not a true cowboy. Real ranchers know it’s bad luck to wear your hat inside. It’s on your head to keep the sun off your skin, not to make you look like a Wild West character.

I'm a flatbed trucker. I wear steel toe cowboy boots when I'm chaining and tarping loads. So easy to slip into cowboy boots when I get out of my truck. Cowboy hats help keep my head cool and neck from burning. Sometimes you're out there for hours securing a load, every day for weeks at a time.

Even people around the world wear cowboy hats. Hollywood will always make a western movie with today’s superstars wearing the cowboy hats in that western movie’s.
