Some intros will appear louder than most so after my initial intro at the start of the video, I highly recommend that you turn your volume down to either somewhere between 50-75% for a majority of the video. Especially if you're using headphones.
On this episode of Nerd Space Games, I take a look at some of the best horror games that feature some pretty iconic music-themed intros. You’re going to have to remind me of the intro here as I didn’t think it had one. It has more of an opening sequence which is good for a future list of opening sequences, but not an intro unless I’m mistaken and forgot it

It’s legendary! It perfectly recaps the events leading to the outbreak with one of the best music tracks I’ve ever heard in a horror game.

My favourite horror game intros: - Rule of Rose (one of my favourite games overall, but love that intro as well, I expected it to see it inthe video) - RE Outbreak 1 and 2 - Dino Crisis 1 - Parasite Eve 1 - Haunting Ground/Demento - Kuon - Silent Hill 1 - Silent Hill 2 - Silent Hill 4 - Project Zero 1 (the playable intro) - Project Zero 2/Fatal Frame 2 Crimson Butterfly - Silent Hill 3 - Resident Evil Code Veronica - Alone in the Dark The New Nightmare

Love the Dark pictures intro. I have the "Man of Medan" downloaded on my switch. I'm glad that the series exists thanks to "Until Dawn". Has the best jumpscares.

Honestly I came VERY close to going with the first one, but the main reason that I went with the second one is because it feels more like a intro trailer thanks to the badass music track during most of the intro. Originally, my plan was to only include intros from horror games that featured a music track in it, but I couldn't think of how to word that in the title of the video and ultimately scrapped that idea, removed Corpse Party and replaced it with Dead By Daylight's intro (mainly because the bastards put a copyright claim on my video for their intro), and went with the best intros in horror games instead of best intros (with music) in horror games.

Tbh I love the intro for Until Dawn more, but technically that's after the first part of the game. That said they have a talent for using the song O' Death fantastically

Its kinda funny that i only ever saw File 2s intro cause that was the only one i got to play. Glad the song was the same. I always thought that it set up the game perfectly.

Oh for sure! Same song, but the first intro I liked more because it gave a quick recap of how the outbreak started whereas files 2 intro just showcased the new areas that we’d be exploring

Yep the goosebumps on number 1!! I freaking LOVE that intro! And seeing haunting ground and silent hill 2(obviously 😂) but I'm surprised with parasite eve, for me the first game intro was better 🤔🤷🏼‍♀️ and gotta love the dark anthology intro!!!

Lol yeah I like the first game, but since they all used the same music with slight changes to each of them, I went mostly on the FMV of each intro and it’s why I leaned towards 3rd birthday over PE1 & PE2

It did actually! But I went with the 3rd birthday's intro over parasite eve's intro as I preferred that one. It's the only thing that the 3rd birthday did better though lol

I think it depends on what you find scary. I know my wife won’t play it because the idea of hiding away from a killer you can’t fight back against gives her way too much anxiety

@@NerdSpaceGames I can why you felt that way but without it, it feels like clips lazily stitched together. The Number 1 choice is obvious but spot on though. It perfectly expresses the forlorn tragedy of the Outbreak.

Silent Hill 2 is the better game but i liked the intros to 3, homecoming, and downpour better because of the music.

totally understand that. I actually don't like the music in Downpour at all, feels to hard rock for my taste. Love the SH3 music and Homecoming isn't bad, but Silent Hill 2's Theme of Laura is just too iconic to avoid plus the tie in to the story in the intro is stronger in SH2's intro over any other (even if SH2 reveals a little too much in it's intro lol)
