Rummy man, the amount of work that you put into your videos is amazing and as a fellow lover of the sweet science its always great to see your videos come up on my subscriptions. Keep up the great work.
That Foreman Moorer fight is even more interesting when you read up and learn that, by limiting the power in his punches up until the knockout, George baited Michael Moorer into trading punches and fighting George's fight.
@@tiberseptim1769 Yeah there are different type of juice some way stronger than others. Evander looked like he was on Tren he really looked like a Greek God.
Man the fact is Tyson got exposed by a boxer who had the best fight of his life that night and put his punches together good and just totally out classed Tyson who made his reputation on nobody's or way passed there prime fighters Tyson only really fought 2 good fighters that were still in there good years and that was Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield Buster Douglas wasn't that good as you seen in his fight with Holyfield when he got destroyed easily.
I'll never forget coming home from work and reading on Ceefax that Iron Mike had been ko'ed.The next day in the newspaper I saw a cartoon of a baby Don King crying on the floor in a nappy with a broken Mike Tyson toy.
I remember seeing it on the news before i went to school one morning. That pic of Mike with the gumshield hanging out of his mouth stuck in my mind all day. I couldn't concentrate on anything. I was only 8 yrs old.
I woke my brother up after the fight at 6.00 in the morning and I had to say it three times, the combination of him being just woken and not believing what I told him,we both walked about all day in shock,it was stunning.
Buster done it for his mom. Surpiseing what emotions can do when they act. Buster was going to be champion that night no matter what! as he wanted it so much for his mom. Tyson thought it would be a walkover.....How wrong.
@@ztuedeutz Whoa ... Chris Bryd was certainly not a 'dud'.He was a superb defensive fighter who the raw courage and skill to fight and defeat much bigger and stronger men. You say the best ignored David Tua ? Not really,Tua had his opportunity against Lennox Lewis and was given a boxing lesson. He was also thoroughly outboxed by the man you called a 'dud'-Chris Bryd ! Even if Golota was an idiot who constantly fouled his way out of fights that he was winning, its plain daft to deny that 1990-2015 was a great era for heavyweight boxing.
90s were and early 2000s From 2002-15 onwards it was boring, dead and got dominated by klitschko Kinda got rejuvenated by Joshua (brought back lots of fans) and to a lesser extent fury and wilder
Your fan documentaries are astonishing. Informative, creative and perfect for boxing fans and new corners who want to learn about the history of the sport. 10/10 stuff man
Really enjoying your restrospective vids - i really appreciate all the hard work you must have put into collecting and editing all those clips - cheers mate.
It's an absolute shame that Riddick Bowe never reached his full potential, never fought Mike Tyson or Lennox Lewis, and his 1st retirement came early at only 29 years old.
@Eric Pearson Like James Toney said The WBC stands for We Be Crooks, shows that the belt at the time was full of shit, Bowe would have beaten Lewis during that time, Lewis was demanding champion type money, even though Bowe was the Champion.
The belt is only worthless if the man that wears it is. In all sports you compete to prove that you have the right to represent the sports highest achievement meaning that the belt was simply a reflection of the person who possessed it and the path you took to get there so maybe the was trash if so it's because Bowe Took the integrity out of it
Bowe is one of the greatest heavyweights of all time He was undisputed and bested a prime Holyfeild in a trilogy which is near impossible He knocked Holyfeild out
I loved watching George Forman back in the 90s what great memories. I miss all the heavyweight stars we used to have and the fights they put on. Great video thank you subbed
I just remember exclaiming, "please dear lord tell me he ain't gonna sing this whole video! " Then when it stopped I was all "Whew! I'm glad that's over."
Sorry Gator but Vitali was not human. Lennox Lewis hit that man with everything and that man did not wobble. Vitali is the reason Lewis retired! Vitali was a destroyer. Wladimir was better safe than sorry style was perfect for Tyson Fury to dethrone him.
edizenver if young foreman had old foreman’s mental fortitude He would have been the greatest fighter ever! Other then an again Lewis the klitchsko brothers fought on one of the worst Eras in heavyweight history! In the 1970s (greatest heavyweight decade Ali Forman Frazier ken Norton maybe more Would have beat the two brothers
I am a newcomer to Rummy's Corner and one thing I don't understand is how you do not have more views..... 152000 views in 3 years? you really break it down you give all the information you do a fantastic job, keep up the awesome work love it and you do know your boxing. Bowe has always been one of my favorite Fighters but in the last yr or so I have gained so much more respect for this man he has really took some beatings, the trilogy with Evander all those low blows he took from Golata etc, he's got a great chin and I think he is one of the best inside fighters o a t
Mr. Kevin Holyfield should have an asterisk next to his name. He was a cheater and it’s obvious he was on steroids. Take that and Holyfield’s constant head butting and questionable low punches. Tyson bit Holyfield because of the headbutts.
@@traviscarver4708 Tyson was known for headbutting and elbowing his opponents. He tried to do it to Holyfield as well (the cut was from the clash he initiated) but Real Deal outsmarted him in his own game. Stop with the excuses.
and Big George won the title using nothing more then pure boxing experience/knowldge for keeping stamina up during fights and a powerful 1-2 combo that can cut any man down, even his step in left upper cut was a fight finisher as well. And i love the fact on the latter half of his HW boxing career he wouldn't sit between rounds and when asked "why do you stand between rounds? to show that your not tired/in good condition?" George replied" no "laughing" i feel that if i sat down between round i might not be able to get back up again."
Great videos man. You should do a video of the top ten fights of all time, regardless of weight class. You should also do one on the highest grossing PPV fights of all time, and how they turned out. Keep up the good work.
Love your videos Rummy. I always look forward to them. But i noticed there was no mention about Holyfields use of his head during both Tyson fights. ...... Keep up the good work sir from the UK 🇬🇧
It would of been a good fight holyfield vs golota.since holyfield likes to headbutt and golota likes to hit low.that would of been an interesting one!😁
Pretty good list. Runners up I liked would be Vitali Klitschko vs Corrie Sanders which was a pretty good fight. Also Brewster vs Luan Krasniqi. Helenius vs Chisora was a good scrap despite most scoring it wide both guys connected on good shots.
I always enjoy your videos caus they are about the heavyweights of the 90 and that was the best era of heavywieght boxing duivision ever so thumbs up from thats great video even better fight and fighters but as for your singing at the start of your video maybe memorable for a different reason but i like your enthusiasm
I saw the Tua / Ibebuchi fight live on "HBO after dark" because Tua was definitely a rising star at the time so I was following his career. Ike I never heard of prior to this. I say it was the best non-title heavyweight fight of the era, maybe any era. I was pulling for Tua but when it was over and waiting for the decision I was really hoping for a draw. I know draws are unpopular but I just could not pick a conclusive winner. I had it 6 rounds each. According to Ike's handler's he never quite recovered from this fight, despite his later win over Byrd. He didn't fight again after Tua for over a year and his handler's said his behavior started to get strange.
Yeah he has basically been in jail since shortly after the Byrd fight. He never did lose a professional fight. But since the Tua fight (maybe before too, I don’t know for sure) he was exhibiting extreme bi-polar in which he thought he was president of the world as his alter ego. For a heavyweight fight that had 1735 (I think it said) punches thrown, I'm not surprised of the brain damage one night may have caused.
Dude Golota beat up some GREAT names! And then quits on the stool against Mike Tyson in the funniest most dramatic "quitting" ever seen in a boxing match! AN OLD Tyson! Really Puts things in perspective for the Tyson haters!
Golota suffered concussion. He didn't know why he didn't want to continue but his sense saved him. His handler was a fouled-mouthed fatso that was a Don King minion. Golota and Tysons were fantastic hitters and have grown as men.
Dude....such a satisfying video for anyone who loves boxing! Great Job Brotha good fights btw Big George winning that fight always makes me tear up lol
Wow I love your videos man and they have brought me pleasure in unhappy times as boxing is my life.but you sure dont look the way i imagined you to by the sound of your voice. What accent is that? Is it Boston Massachusetts?
Best boxing coutdown matches i have seen on youtube, he also explain it so well^^ .. I cant say, anything else, ^ That you have my vote on the matches , they where so cool to watch, also, iam quite new to watching boxing matches , but know boxing ,some, BUT FOR ALL THE DOCMENTEREY, ABOUT THE 90 BEST BOXING MATCHES, THESE IS VRY VERY INTERSANT ,TO SEE, LOVED IT! tHANX BROTHER
Yeah, he ducked Lewis, after that it felt like he, lost to him. Worse, if he had lost in the ring to Lewis even by ko, it would be ok but not like that
