Mine are: re-animator, aliens, a nightmare on elm street, suspiria, night of the living dead, Halloween, the Texas chainsaw massacre, Hellraiser, Friday the 13th, & the howling. (All originals, not remakes).

Sinister is one of my favorite scary movies too, because the tapes were terrifying!

Thank you for posting this video! I have missed them. LOL I thought you were serious! I think my jaw dropped when you said not to expect another video for at least a year lol. This will be very hard to choose because horror is my favorite genre. So far my top 10 are: Misery, Insidious, The Ring, Halloween, Friday The 13th, Sinister, The Shining, A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Exorcist, and Windchill. Two honorable mentions Premonition and Silence of the Lambs. (these 2 are more like thrillers).

I also absolutely loved cabin in the woods! the references are amazing and the movie was nothing like i was expecting it to be.

Do you watch many foreign horror movies? They tend to be a lot more psychological and such. I can think of a couple that you might like: Martyrs, A Tale of Two Sisters, and Moui: The Legend of a Portrait. They tend to be a lot slower, but they have some interesting psychological bits within them. The Orphanage is good, too, in that front.

Technically you like The Thing remake and the prequel (not sequel - it's a simple mistake). The original is from the 50s.

I agree with every one of the movies you picked. And Sinister and Mama are freaking creepy. Cabin in The Woods was epic. The Ring is a classic to me and both The Things are so good. Awesome choices.

This comment is pretty late, but Sinister is also one of my favorite horror movies. Idk what it is about it, but it scares me every time I watch it. Especially the Lawn mower scene.

You need to look up "Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon". It's based in a world where Freddie, Jason, and Michael are actual humans. It's one of the best movies i've seen in the last few years minus the remake of "Evil Dead".

pet sematary was the first scary movie i ever saw, when i came from Cuba to the USA i was 7 years old and my dads side of the family gave us a box filled with movies and pet sematary was one of the movies in the boxed, i loved it , i didnt even speak english i didnt understand a word they were saying but i still liked it, it was super scary for me, the lady in the red hair was so creepy

The only Horror movies I can't watch because they scare the ever loving shit out of me is the Candyman movies. I know they aren't scary but it's something psychological that gets to me.

It’s weird watching this in 2019 cause I didn’t realize what year you filmed this in until you said “Sinister” and I’m like “dang didn’t that movie come out a while ago?” then I check the description box and you filmed this in 2013! That’s crazy! It doesn’t feel that long ago but at the same time it really does. It was still like the beginning of the decade and I graduated high school that year. So that year is super memorable to me because it was a big turning point in my life, not just finishing school but there were other big changes taking place in my life as well that year. I don’t know this video just kinda took me back to simpler times.

I love the name Hannibal, and I would love to name my child that, so I understand the Samara thing. I think I would name my child a normal name with the middle name of Hannibal.

I watched Cabin in the Woods not knowing anything about it. I am still indifferent. I might have to watch it again to make my mind up. I was very confused toward the end so maybe that is why. I don't hate it but don't love it. Definitely worth watching at least once.

I think a lot of ppl do consider Seven to be in the horror category. I liked the first Paranormal Activity, it was something different and not as ridiculous and trite as most movies about demons.

You watched the new Evil Dead, right? I'm wondering your thoughts. Personally, I loved it. I am a huge fan of the original, so yeah. haha And I LOVE Cabin in the Woods. It's definitely one of my favorites. I am seriously so happy you said Misery of one of your favorites too. That was one of the first horror films I saw as a kid (next to Poltergeist) and I was obsessed after that. Also, I've never seen Seven...what is wrong with me? Definitely watching that ASAP. :) xo

I saw mama after seeing scary movie so I couldn't take it seriously lol same happenned with the scream, it's a shame.... Three favourite movies of mine: the ring, the grudge and ghost ship. Horror movies for me has to have ghosts and that stuff :P

My new faves is Evil Dead remake (still in the theaters), scream 4, i know who killed me, Devil inside and the roommate you should check these movie plz they are good !!!!

Have u watched the Nightmare on Elm Street movies? The original ones, not the remake.

I may understand the logic behind Sloth in Seven being your reference to the horror genre for that movie, but I have to disagree. For me it's a thriller. Misery is the one movie on your list that I really don't understand how anyone can get horror out of it. Every piece of that movie is a suspense/thriller setup. Listen, I know, there's instances of horror in many thrillers, like Silence of the Lambs, straight up thriller, but it's on many people's horror lists. The difference with Silence is that its has Gothic trappings, thus it's close. But what exactly is it with Misery that is considered horror? I'm not trying to be a troll, nor trying to bully others into thinking the same thing. It's just that ever since it came out I've never been able to understand why anyone would call it horror.

People can be jerks on the internet. Is it so hard to have differing opinions without insulting people? Don't listen to those idiots. My view on that: Acceptable: "I hate that movie." "That movie sucks." "Aw man, you liked that? I didn't." Not Acceptable: "You suck if you do/don't like that." "There is an absolute value to x movie and you aren't allowed to like/dislike it." "You're not a horror fan if you ____." :D
