I'm tired of the stigma for white women to be wearing wigs. Black women have been wearing them for decades and wide spread acceptance in society. They even know how to hug each other without messing up their wigs in the process. I'm just going to go for it this week and wear my first wig out in public. My bio hairline and sides look so dreadful, I'd actually will feel relief wearing a wig. I'm just having a hard time preparing my hair under it, so I don't have lumps. I purchases 2 wigs - Tressallure - California Beachwaves and Bell Tress - Bespoke. I like having the choice. Wish me luck, I'm diving in!

Candy, I’m at the beginning of my wig journey also and I’ve been wearing them every day all day in the house for about 3 weeks now. I ventured out today to have lunch with a gf who knew that I was thinking about getting a wig. I’m wearing cafe chic by Belle Tress…..she kept staring at me trying to figure it out. Then she acted like she felt sorry for me when I told her I was wearing a wig. I just told her that I’m having a blast now and can wear all different colors, curly or straight long or short, and please not to feel sorry for me. I’m finding it really fun and hopefully you will too! Go for it!!!

Hey Candy! It's Candi here! Anyways, I guess I never thought about the "stigma" of wearing wigs because I've been performing since I was a kid & I honestly just feel "divalicious af" every time I toss on a wig, and I never try to hide the fact that I'm changing styles and colors on the daily. When I got covid last year, my Dad had just died from covid earlier in the year, so I was pretty stressed out and lost so much hair in clumps- before that I had hair down to my butt so it was a bit of a shock, but I soon found it to be a relief as I didn't have to deal with it, found wigs laid so much better without me trying to stuff tons of hair under it (especially as my hair is dark and greasy 10 mins after I shampoo so I don't bother with wig caps that just slide off anyways) & I found it pretty liberating, but honestly I felt like I could keep the hair loss in perspective because A. "that's what wigs are for" & B. "hey, at least I didn't die, I just lost some hair" - now I LOVE playing with hair so believe me I understand all about the link between hair and confidence- I don't step onto any stage without my hair being fabulous, whether it's my biological hair, or the hair I bought. I just wanna say "Work it, Girl!" when you go in public, rock that wig like you would rock ur new hairdo when u step out a salon for the first time- if you need more help in how to rock a wig, I cannot stress how masterful drag queen are in rocking a wig. You don't have to be overly flamboyant about it if that's not your personal style, but there is ZERO reason in the world to feel ashamed about a wig you bought, any more than you'd be ashamed of some awesome new shoes you got. WORK IT!!!

Hi Taz, I’ve had wigs give themselves away, but it’s never bothered me. The most surprising time was when I was wearing a very natural looking Henry Margu. The auburn shade was the same as I’d colored my hair for years. I was flat on my back, feet in stirrups, chatting away with my lady doctor and nurse. When I was able to sit back up, my wig didn’t come with me. The ladies were shocked. Then we all laughed as I put myself back together. They’d had no idea I was wearing a wig! I wouldn’t be embarrassed wearing a hat; why be embarrassed in a wig! As long as it looks good that is! 😆😂 Love, Sharon xo

YAZ dahling.... everyone wants a mermaid wig these days, nobody cares if you're wearing a wig anymore, I'm actually having so much fun with silver being popular now because I don't feel the need to dye out my silver roots if I wanna wear a half-wig, hey, "silver's IN!" And generally people are more distracted by my rainbow colored ponytail extension anyways, lol- I feel younger now than I did at half my age- I think we just realize all the stuff we used to stress about are NOT a big deal AT ALL. Worry about your cardiovascular health... and for me I worry about stuffing my leg veins into compression stockings. I can't be bothered to stress out about hair anymore, lol. Not when I can just buy it #ProblemSolved ! Moving on!

My wigs are my best friends, and of course, I have my favorites. My life was transformed when I worked up enough courage to go out in public wearing a wig. I had made mistakes before I found the one I could wear with any degree of confidence, but I think that is just part of almost everyone’s journey. I have been my husband’s caregiver and we’ve spent weeks in hospitals. My hair has been one less thing for me to be concerned about. Wigs are such a blessing!

When I went to my Dad's funeral last year, I was pretty distraught that morning so I was breaking out and trying to spackle on makeup... I was relieved to just have to toss a wig on and be done with the hair. At the reception, my brother came up and asked me if I was wearing a wig and I know that he's personally pretty sensitive about his own receding/thinning hair- I made a point of saying "of course! I'm like Dolly Parton!" so he'd realize wearing hairpieces are no big deal- my Dad was a huge fan of Sean Connery & I think most people don't realize Sean Connery wore hairpieces in every since James Bond flick starting with Dr. No in 1962- he always had a bald head, but people in entertainment regularly use hairpieces, & as an entertainer I find myself amazed that more people don't realize what a blessing/timesaver/energy-saver they are for people who travel a lot or just have better things in life to do than mess with their own hair too much. If I can go from "mom bun" to "divalicious" in 5 minutes, I'm certainly not apologizing! lol - but my Mom was my Dad's caregiver at the end and I wasn't surprised when she gave up on all the salon appts & finally transitioned to her now white hair. It's just so much maintenance taking care of natural hair. That's the reason I stick to synthetics, honestly. I'm that person that dunks my head under the faucet of the laundry tub while simultaneously doing laundry to knock off my shampoo job while still "multitasking"- I am NOT gonna spend forever styling it, who has time for all that?!

So the other day I was outside spraying weeds and as I went under a tree my wig got caught on a branch and off it came! Now I have no clue if anyone saw me, but I just nonchalantly took it off the branch and put it back on. Acted like nothing happened until I got back inside and laughed my head off!!! At home I don’t worry about Bobby pins or clips etc. My feeling is if the neighbors noticed oh well….I would feel more embarrassed due to my bio hair than my wig! Great video, Taz! Takes a bit to have this confidence but it’s great when you do!♥️🤗😘♥️

I'm loving all these sassy comments about wig wearing. Brand new to doing this but why not? Seems like so much fun. Why am I still a scared chicken to venture out in public? We wear different clothes/colors every day, fake nails, eye lashes, jewelry, glasses etc. ...why not our hairstyle? I wish it were more common. And you're so right Candy about black women. They never seem to be self conscious about it. I'm envious.

Hi Taz, I love all the information… perfect for newer wig wearers. I’m 100% with you on feeling comfortable and confident in wearing your hair. It definitely is a process took me years to overcome the fears of what others thought or said . It’s a blessing how far wigs have come since the early 80’s ,when I started wearing wigs. I’m very proud of the woman I’ve become because I feel my best with my beautiful hair. I am grateful for the wig community for helping and empowering us all to feel more confident. I want to thank the wig companies and manufacturers for making beautiful wigs . Of course, you have made a big difference in wig community. You are a blessing to all of us who need to wear wigs. What a great video! Taz, I think you covered all the aspects about wigs looking wiggy. I love that you're so confident wearing your wigs, it's very inspiring to someone who is on the shy side. I myself am also confident wearing them, and when someone compliments me on "my hair", I am the first one to tell it's a wig. 🙃 And so many ladies were grateful for the information I gave them on the style. I would also try to discretely tell about a tag sticking out (of a wig or a clothing item). I wouldn't let another person to be unaware of a possible embarrassment, I know I'd be thankful if someone did the same for me, too.

Such great information. I can certainly relate to the initial...everyone knows it is a wig, but as I tell my friends...I will never go back to not wearing wigs. I fought my fine thin hair for my entire life until about five years ago. No matter the product or hair cut you can never truly make thin hair look full. If I had back the time I have spent over my lifetime fixing it, I laughingly say, I would have half a lifetime back. So I told my family, I am going to buy a wig. I did and they laughed at first, but now they know it is me. Before I started using the velcro band and putting a fishnet cap over that too, I did fight it slipping and moving and even blowing off. But with the velcro band and fishnet cap over that I have walked in 40 mile winds and been to the top of mountains where the wind blows up and fast and it stays absolutely secure. But, I do have a funny story to share before I leave...early on before learning how to secure them properly my hubby and I were leaving a fast food restaurant and there was actually a violent storm rolling through. When we walked out to run to our car...off went my wig flying across the parking lot...I yelled GET IT! He ran all the way across that parking lot to retrieve it...saving it from entering the middle of a busy street. We laughed so hard and when we got to the top of the mountain he said, I am not chasing your wig over this moutain so it better stay on. :) He is so very supportive of my desire and enjoyment in wearing wigs. II encourage anyone who is afraid to just give it a try and you will be forever hooked. Taz, you are a doll and I am thankful for your enthusium and wonderful tips. God bless you!

Well, you did it again, Taz. Eloquently, yet in a down to earth way, explaining why we can count it a blessing that we are able to wear wigs today. And wear them with confidence, joy and gratitude ( and yes not take ourselves too seriously that we don’t have a sense of humor because if we aren’t humble …life will humble us..so it’s always best to be able to laugh. Being able to laugh at ourselves is like a super powered lubricant that helps us get through life’s difficult situations 😅 🤣) Most of us aren’t trying to “trick” or deceive people. Most of us just want to live our lives and look the best we can for ourselves. And most of us try to make them look 👀 as natural as possible…but to each their own. 🥰 Thanks again for your wisdom, tips and for your voice on this matter. ❤️🌻

I think most people who new to wearing wigs feel very self-conscious and think everybody’s looking and noticing it’s a wig. I know I was like that. But after a while I realized that most people are not looking at my hair. People are preoccupied with their own lives, not looking at everybody else’s hair to see if it’s a wig or not. People like us who are wig wearers I’m sure notice a lot more than anyone else would. People who we know casually might notice something different if we change up the wig but don’t really give it much thought to figure it out. Good video chat. Thank you.

What a fun video. I treated this like a test and wrote down my answers before watching it. My top 10 was (in no particular order); the shine, the hairline, visible wefts, the movement of the hair, placement (some wig wearers will wear the hairline too close or too far from their eyebrows, giving them an unnaturally short or high forehead), the bump (sometimes on top or at the back of the head), knots that are too noticeable because there are too many hairs per knot (but really, this is a nitpick and wouldn't make or break a wig for me), volume, length and cut. I kind of hate that I am so picky with wigs. I find myself noticing wigs in movies, shows and on makeover videos (especially those from Truly) and I find myself thinking they could have done much better for just 20~30$ more and could have done this or that to the wig to make it look better. If I loved a wig that I thought looked rather fake or low quality I would still wear it with confidence. But as it happens I don't love wigs that I think look fake or low quality. Whenever I see a wig listing online that I love it's usually because they have shot and edited the images to make the wig look more natural (they use soft indirect lighting, and then edit the pictures), or it's human hair wig costing anywhere between 250 and 800$. I don't have the finances to go through more trial and error buying synth wigs online hoping it looks like the listing. I'm very close to breaking down and buying a human hair wig even though I'm against all of the bad stuff that goes on in that industry. Why can't they just make synthetic fiber that looks more like real hair? I've tried all of the regular tricks to reduce the shine but none of it worked to my satisfaction on my synthetic wigs. They're not terrible looking, they certainly don't look one dimensional or like cosplay wigs, but at this point I would much rather just show the world my hair loss than go out in my wigs.

Having hair that falls out all the time, I have all this fuzz within my thin hair. So I have several lengths or strands that frizz. Natural aging of hair, right? When I put on my wigs, at age 72, I find the wig hair is too perfect, too thick (especially at the part), and shiny for an older person, but ok for young women under let’s say age 65. Makes me look healthy, but I wish wig makers would make a line of thinner wigs for us very old women. You made some great points and you’re right, I need to just not be picky and enjoy a healthy full head of hair. Who cares if I might look wiggy to someone else.

After four years of wig wearing on a very limited budget I have tried to keep my wigs looking natural and new. In a hurry for a Dr, appt. I chose my oldest one which has no lace and is beginning to look “ wiggy” at the hairline. While my eldery Dr. was very close to my face, to remove my stitches from my upper arm, he said with an Asian accent..” oh, you wear wig ?” Now I'm putting my favorite wig in a box, never to be seen again. However my confidence hasn't been shaken “too much, HA!) I believe I'll have to start saving up the extra money for only mono top or hand tired caps since my crippled arthritic fingers prevent me from curling and styling no lace wigs. I appreciate this very informative video to help me get all my confidence back.❤.

I am still on the fence about buying a wig as i have my own hair, but it's a pain to style every day and I have a bad shoulder. I was thinking of getting the Jackson by Noriko but I'm not sure if it would be comfortable on my 22.5 inch head🤷‍♀️. Also, anyone who would tell a person your wig looks wiggy is not too bright as I would never say that and make someone uncomfortable, unless it was a close family member and I was being constructive... Maybe I'm just used to dealing with lots of different personality types, but I really think most of the time when somebody does something like that it's just because they're amazed at how real looking wigs are these days, it's like when somebody's saying "can you believe this countertop isn't real marble?!" and then everyone goes "wow, it looks so real tho!" Some people are just really awkward in social settings, I always cut people the benefit of the doubt like they might be autistic or something. But also in different cultures and settings, people have different attitudes on whether or not anyone cares if you're obviously wearing a wig. I'm Latina, I have a mixed family, a cousin who has a dreadlocking business, we're white, black, brown, whatever... & I have to admit as a performer I never realized how much other white women stress out about wigs & extensions outside of the entertainment industry until I started trying to get some extra tips to "up my hair game" online & started reading comments, it's an eye-opener for sure. It makes me realize how sometimes our problems are much bigger in our own minds than what other people might see.

Great info. I agree, confidence in wearing is #1. For me, I fight hairline the most. Overall, I feel most people, in general, really dont look that close. If someone is looking close, it’s probably because they are wig wearers or considering wearing a wig and might be interested. If someone is looking close for critiquing , they will find something anyway! Some people are just that way :( I am still new to wigs: Aug 2021 - I have like 20 already. Yup- ur right- us people examining your awesome slay are wig-wearers, non-wig-wearers never notice or suspect anything even when I have like a pink streaked wig or even BLUE they are just like "I love your hair!" and I just tell them my laundry tub's blue now and chuckle internally- truth be told, most people are very self-absorbed with their own issues & problems, it actually takes quite a bit for just some random person to even put forth the effort to try to analyze whoever's around- they will try to put you into a stereotyped box based on what they think you probably do for a living and move on. They might see your style and go "soccer mom" or "local stripper" lol- you get my point. Who WILL observe you very carefully is actually KIDS. They haven't learned to quickly put people into boxes like that yet and move on about their busy day so they will STARE and analyze EVERYTHING as they try to learn about you. I am often AMAZED that adults never realize my ears are completely lopsided (inherited this from my Dad, crooked sunglasses, good times!) -even when I run around with ponytails all the time, but kids will point it out to me every time! Because they truly look more carefully than adults. So don't be surprised when some kid asks about your wig, lol. So just to re-confirm, yes, us people analyzing your wig want to know what brand, the name of the style, and shade if you remember it. Cuz I totally will ask the shade and look it up later, lol

So funny when I was working in the salon I was always accused of wearing a wig by my customers. I used to have to curl it half way through the day to keep the style up. The first time I wear Dolce to work (am retired and work part time cashiering) people said I like the way you cut your hair. Then after a few weeks I wore a different one then people started asking me, Is that your hair. I was honest I said no. Now everyone is excited on what color I'm going to show up in and style. One customer always says I love your hair today. I also wear a pink ribbon cancer pin on my vest I got from work when my cancer treatments were over and I got to ring the bell at the cancer care center. I'm pretty transparent with my cancer journey. I'm so happy I don't have to worry about my hair thinness anymore. I'm hooked on these. No one says the word wig to me they say style or hair.

I have 9 wigs. I’ve been collecting them for the past 18 months or more. I wore my Flirty Fringe (Hairdo) in the house the other day. My hub sat down…we were talking, having lunch…took about 20 minutes before he says “your hair looks different “. “It’s a wig”, I said…and oh my, it was as if someone plugged him into an electrical outlet. He got so excited and says, “BUY IT IN RED!” (..hmmmmmmm, should I be worried?). 😂. I’m now 71 and I automatically lean toward low density less shiny wigs. Someone my age doesn’t have shiny hair, lol. Thanks Taz..as usual, very helpful video.

Years ago in the sixty’s, I was living in Chicago and while browsing in a high end department store, I noticed this Beautiful wig, I just had to have it. The salesperson said it was a European Human Hair Wig, I asked the price it was $149. No way was a purchase like that practical for me, however I felt I couldn’t live without it. Next day I took it to an unskilled beautician to have the bangs trimmed. She trimmed the bangs on a styrofoam head, as I am sure you have Guested , the bangs were at the top of my head. I compared it to buying a new car, driving it out of the Show Room Totally crashes it with no insurance . I was 24 back then , I have been fascinated with wigs every since that Catastrophe

Oh I laughed so hard at the cap revealing itself! I had surgery on my lower leg a few weeks ago and I asked the nurse as I was about to be wheeled into the operating room if I could put the blue surgery cap on before I went in because my hair was a wig. She gave it to me and I put it on. After the surgery was over I was wheeled into the recovery room and I was still half out of it, they were trying to wake me up, etc. Then my husband came in and I asked him how my hair looked and he said "well, your hair is poking out a little at the hairline" and to my shock the wig was like an inch too far back (RW glazed Fire wig vs white bio hair LOL) I wanted to die! I tucked everything back in as best I could, but I am sure the entire surgical staff knew at that point! Oh well! Life goes on.

Literally the LAST thing they care about is the integrity of your hair. Or wig. haha... You Survived- YAY!

Why does people have this hang up with wigs? Look at all the fake long eyelashes .. the long fake nails .. I have natural nails I keep polish and well manicured , was in the beauty business for years and know how to maintain my nails. I can not tell you how many times I get asked if they are fake. I think if you play with wigs and make the style YOU, they are just great . I wear them and toppers and makes me feel so much better about my appearance, I did not get blessed in the hair department. Hi. Thank you for this video. I found it very inspiring. My wig-wearing journey is a little different. I don't have hair loss. I have long, very curly Irish hair that is very difficult to style. Plus I live in an area that is high in humidity. I spend 3 hours straightening my hair, and after 2 minutes in the humidity and it's back to curly. I've been looking for a wig that looks like my natural hair when I straighten and style it. After years of looking and buying, I feel like I'm almost there. I still haven't really worn a wig. I think what I'm looking for in a wig is freedom. The freedom from worrying about if I go out on a date or with friends, and they want to dine in the outdoor section of the restaurant, and it's humid, what am I going to do about my hair. I want a wig that can free me from that. Anyway, thanks for the helpful hints.

wow, this reminds me of my Mom, a natural redhead with curls (Irish too!)- she always had that 1 or 2 day window after a salon appointment when her hair had that "blowout" look- I myself never really cared how wild my hair was even when my boss made a comment about how I should try combing my hair sometime, because frankly I have a wild kind of spirit so it suits me. But my Mom's more "toned down" in personality & I remember one time she cried in frustration over her curls because she couldn't do anything with them other than just let them be... curls. And it occurred to me how important it is to have the person in the mirror look like the person you feel like inside. So like, for me, I might just dump some magenta dye and my head and rock the "wild rock star" look, but for somebody else, I can see how it would be endless frustration- my hair is STILL a frustration for me- I still dread, I mean DREAD combing it & bobby pins randomly launch themselves off my head because they can't take the stress of their life anymore, but it would be worse if my style & personality didn't fit my wild hair. So I feel grateful for that I guess. Whenever the salon people straightened my hair I felt like they were trying to "Stepford" me, lol- it just didn't look like my personality

One more: when the cap doesn't fit. My measurements are close to yours, I'm just a wee bit smaller through the crown. When I wear most average sized caps they push down over my ears going far too low to look natural. They also dome over the crown making the shape of my skull overall look unnatural. The placement of layers and permatease that would land at the temple area on an average size ride really low on me, making the style look unnatural. Fit is so important and it's tough in the petite space. The style and color and cap features selection is so much smaller than average sizes. If I do select an average size it usually needs alterations which means I have to go to a wig salon and have them altered (which means I don't get the pricing of the online retailers). Or if I alter it myself I risk making a mistake and ending up with a wig I can't return. I'm so grateful for your wig presentations and advice because you're one of the very few models who comes close to my size and coloring. Thank you so much for all of your videos!!!

OMG I wrote a book about a country girl going to Chicago and buying a European Human Hair Wig cost $149. It’s so sad and funny you would laugh for days. That girl was me I was 24 y/o. I am now 79. But I have been fascinated with wigs so much so, I have become addicted. I have enough biological hair for 3 women, but I have it cut 4 inches close to my scalp. I actually lost my first story. I a am on a iPad my story took off, I can’t find it. You can’t put a bunch of hair under a cap and not except it to look wiggy. I am expecting 2 wigs this week. A Paula Young and one by Mine. I enjoyed wiggy. Thank You, you are a good people person. My name is Laura. I subscribed to your channel, you were good. Yes, I have many wigs. Hopefully I will be able to finish my story. Hi Taz, do you have any tips for tangly longer length wigs? I tend to get a frayed/fried feeling on the tips of my longer Belle Tress wigs. Thank you in advance for any help!

I see it differs alot, In Norway we dont like superplished look, we like to look like we just got up that morning and looked amazeballs.....nothing to it. So if I have a fluffy wig that my American friends oohhhhs and aaaaahs over, I KNOW that my Norwegian friends would ask me wtheck did I do to my hair and why does I have a dead birdsnest fillled with spray and what not. So for me its all about something I would have done to my own hair, but might not have been able too. When I first started I used ONLY long wigs kinda like what I had when it started to come out , then I realized that was not me anymore and i LOVE using wigs that has a style I would love to have done to my hair, but my own hair wouldnt have been able too. And yes confidence....also most wigs dont look great out of the box.....some do..most dont...you kinda need to do soemthing :D thank you loved this and Ill share it on my wig page

Hi Taz! How about the parting spaces? Sometimes, they require plucking, sometimes concealing something or other. How about the seams when the unit has a just barely temple to temple lace front, ( sometimes way short of) which can be difficult to conceal? How about cap bagginess, or an extra something at the crown? I do believe addressing these issues with us wig wearers, truly helps! But WE need to weigh in with the brands! My pet peeves are extending the lace fronts to ear tabs and beyond, like BELLE TRESS is doing in their new collections; I think 'wiggy' can also refer to wearing your'hair' too close to your brows, or too far back! These newer extended lace fronts are the best for addressing this problem! We need more updated colors across the board.Fashion colors are onething, there is a growing space for unrooted colors with highlighting and lowlights! Footed colors must be addressed here too; sometimes the roots, even on my faves are horrible. Too red, too dark, too gold or brassy. All of these can be dead giveaways! My favorites: SSBISCUIT , can sometimes go too magenta at the root, yet unrooted, it is sometimes not dimensional enough! PalmSprings Blonde, my very favorite, has had a super dark root on the last 3 wigs purchased. This has caused me to swear off JR for a bit. SS Sunkissed Beige, unrooted needs much more highs and lows, rooted needs a less gold root, more dark blonde instead. I am looking for 3 things in my next wigs, that I didn't realize as a new wig wearer...I came to wigs from breast cancer, my hair has not really re-generated since then; I need much more coverage at the whole temple to ear area. #2), I want a better parting area, whether a space or monofilament top. I find it unwise to pluck, not bevause I fear messing it up, it's because I do NOT want to ruin the lace either by tearing or stretching it from the heat of my very severely arthritic hands. I am a very visual person. #3) DIMENSIONAL, HIGH-END LOOKING COLOR. OOPS THERE'S A #4. I want more PETITE, PETITE/ AVERAGE caps! Especially on wefted styles. Ie. Love Esthetica styles. They run waaay too big for me! I was a celebrities' makeup artist, before becoming a filmmaker. Therefore, PERCEPTION is very important to me! I wish you would tell the CREATORS of our wigs/'hair' to discuss these issues! YOUR INFLUENCE has helped me, and of course, multitudes more! The way to resolve problems is through sales, but also through communication, FIRST. Iknow EVERYONE KNOWS WHO YOU ARE DARLING GIRL, and CERTAINLY RESPECTS YOU FOR THE PERSON YOU ARE! PLEASE, tell them that for the $$$ we spend, all these issues MUST BE ADDRESSED. I do see BELLE TRESS is very innovative with colors and now, cap features. We need better fit, function, style and performance. IKNOW YOURIMPUT WILL TRULY HELP TO MAKE WIGS FAR LESS WIGGY! YOUR APPRECIATIVE FAN/FRIEND/ FELLOW WIG AFFICIONADA, LAUREN🤪☺️😚😘🤗

When you get a compliment do you tell people it’s a wig? I’ve recently had two people in my apartment building. compliment me on Simmer wig by Raquel Welch. I told them it was a wig because I’m going to see these people from time to time and I’m one of these women who loves to change up my style. So I decided it was best for me to tell them. The other day I got a compliment from a young woman on the street on Trend Alert. I didn’t tell her because I know I won’t be seeing her again… but I also knew she was wearing a wig. She was a young African-American woman. I think there was an unspoken wink of the eye between the two of us and she knew anyway. Lol. How do you handle it?

The worst wigs I’ve bought has been from Paul’s Young, just sent one back due to no hair covering the top wefts…a few I’ve kept but seldom wear, waste of money. Lesson learned.

Is there a particular brand/brands that you feel have the most undetectable and natural monofiliment lace fronts

I 100% agree it's psychology. If YOU portray to others a carefree, no nonsense, confident persona about your hair loss and wig wearing....others will pick up on that and view it the same. If you view your hair loss as making you a victim......then any little comment will send you over the edge....others pick up on that. I would also like add something that helps make a wig look less "wiggy". Makeup. I've had alopecia since I was 10. I'm now 47. You CANNOT plop a wig on your head....and wear no makeup, in my opinion.....otherwise you can 100% tell you're wearing a wig. A wig is a whole "look". You don't have to wear a ton of make-up....but definitely something....so that the look of your whole head is "put together". When someone sees a wig, a wig looks like you stepped out of a salon, right? So when your face doesn't match the salon look, you draw attention to the mismatch.

I love to check out actors hair in movies -mainly wigs, of course. Try to name the style😅. The James Franco movie, The Adderall Diaries, has Amber Heard in the most hideous looking wig and that’s throughout the entire movie. I cannot imagine why they would use a wig that looked so very bad!

Another reason: wig wearer wasn’t able to properly fix down bio hair under wig, so the head now looks unnaturally large.

Is it natural to feel wig move when you bend over, I find myself also pulling down on the tabs off and on. It the wig too small or too big? My head is on the smaller size but not petite.
