Decent list although I'm personally against calling any support the easiest because they require team awareness. I'm thankful someone else suggested Vivian because I always forget her name. Move to a location and hold fire , everything else the rest of the team worries about and her ultimate is no different. She's like Raum without the abilities or a ultimate to even worry about.
Koga should be 5 on this list. Easy to use guns and a simple dash. His dragons claws work as an easier version of zhin's projectiles with another regular dash.
vivian. if you know how to put your finger on your mouse, apply a bit of pressure and keep it that way for about 10 seconds, congratulations you have master 90% of her kit
When I was playing this game for the first time, I played Jenos all the time and it helped me grasp the mechanics of the game while not being overwhelmed. While I do agree about your points on why you didn't choose him, I think for a complete noob at a very low level, he's the best choice.
@Pedro pt idk if they changed ruckus recently from on tank to off because before when I first started I used to be a beast in the objective but now he’s more of a off my competition went up a lot so maybe that’s why
Blows my mind that Viktor isn't on this list. Literally the most braindead hero in the game, hold M1 and you just get results. A toddler could get 100k damage on Viktor
I would agree if we're talking Cardio Vik specifically, but other than that he's a glass cannon with no life saving abilities other than running away and hoping you can zigzag hard enough to dodge bullets.
1. Vivian (bro just spam left click) 2. Seris (I agree) 3. Jenos (I'm not gonna focus on its weakness, just easy or hard) 4. Fernando (Shield, Fireball, Auto, Repeat) 5. Viktor (Strong and easy) The ones who are saying "why Vivian and Viktor not on the list" are because Andrew wants to have all classes on the list. .w.
@@that_guy1186 kinessa depends on the skill? non-stop shooting, and anyone who is on it level 5 can cope with aim. androxus, which even a beginner can handle, and a gun with 900 damage to the head, are very difficult characters!
@@hesonim4130 dps just makes them better characters, not easier. To play Kinessa and use her talents and cards effectively you need to hit your shots, and some level 5 mastery rando isn’t gonna be hitting every shot consistently. With Andro, having a 900 dmg headshot means nothing if you cant hit the headshot, and some of his load outs require you to hit those shots. Someone can’t pick up Andro and be a god, it takes time, and most importantly, aim.
Great list! Though Zhin definitely takes a bit of practice, like with Lex on timing - when to burst in and when to retreat with counters to escape without dying. Many are now wise to timing Zhin's kit. I cannot count how many times I relied on billow to get away, only for it to not be long enough and then die. If you find this, there is a card for that...increased movement in billow.
As a Fernando main, I completely agree. Super easy to play, but that doesn’t mean that everyone will master him. Coming from a Reinhardt main in Overwatch, you’ll love Fernando if you love Reinhardt
Tbh yagorath it's not that easy, she is so slow and if the enemies are smart they will kill your healer and jump on you. Yagorath it's not a really easy champ to play, maybe you got lucky on those matches...But it's really hard to master her in my opinion
yagorath has the same problem raum has. extremely huge, with massive health pool. if you are playing casuals you just need to get lucky but if you pick her in ranked say hi to cassie/tyra/willo/zhin... extremely easily countered
Great video as always Andrew! I want to know you opinion on Dredge. He seems easier to play and get value out of than some champions you mentioned. Not that I disagree with your list, it's just that he wasn't included even in the honourable mentions so I thought you might have had a different opinion. Cheers~
He's not nearly as easy as the three gunner champions I mentioned in the damage class. While it's not that hard to spam the point, it is extraordinarily hard to reliably hit his primary fire against someone who tries to flank him like Maeve or Androxus. While you could go Hurl for more reliable dps, he still takes longer to kill a flank with Hurl than someone like Tyra would. Also, his movement ability is complex. You first need to find a safe spot to put your first portal, and then have your second portal ready to go nearby where you're attacking from. It's unlikely that you can put a portal down once someone has started attacking you and actually live to go through it once it becomes active. It's just not as easy or reliable as sprinting with Viktor or dashing with Fernando. On top of that, it's hard to actually kill anyone with his ult, because sometimes it doesn't place where you want it to, and enemies can easily walk out of it. Hopefully this is a sufficient enough explanation of why I didn't include Dredge!
@@jusey1I’ve mastered him, though a good way to take down flanks is to spam hurl using it increases the chances of dps. This is coming from a Tiberius main. I do agree he does take some skill since he doesn’t have a lot of mobility except for his knock back card.
Vivian and Viktor don't take much skill, but they don't have nearly the same survivability or damage output as Tyra. Viktor get's clapped by CC, and Vivian hasn't been very good since her mobility nerf. She needs to invest more into speed and shield cards just to survive now, so less infinite ammo.
My top 3 easiest for every category (no particular order, mostly): Damage: Tyra Tiberius maybe Lian Some say Saati but uh - I think she does take some aim and her kit isn't pick up and play easy. Still a top tier character though, you just need practice with her. Others says Vivian but tbh I rarely see Vivian players to well when I play and I never played as her either.. Flank: Zhin Maeve Vora Easiest top 3 out of all categories. Zhin is one of the best characters in the game and has a lot of options. Maeve has high dmg and amazing mobility and kill confirms. Vora is a projectile spammer, nuff said. Koga and Buck are pretty easy as far as Flanks go but bad positioning is more punishing with them. Front Line: Azaan Fernando Either Berik or Ruckus Support: Seris Grover (Both of them might be the easiest characters in the game) Grohk Everyone else takes SOME effort or aim IIRC. None of these 3 supports take a lot of brainpower to play. Just positioning, nothing else.
Jenos Main here. I don’t play much ranked but I like to consider myself a pretty solid Jenos player. I use Binary star to make his gun more effective (in my opinion) and I play him as a damage healer. My strategy with him is to throw out as many heals as I can. I reduce his initial healing cool down to 5 seconds from 7 with one of his cards, than off rip buy 1 chronos (I end up getting 2 if not 3, along with Cauterize, nimble and Master Rider unless I need something like resilience, illuminate, wrecker, etc) so he’s able to heal quite often. My strategy though is to have my team mates constantly with a heal bringing their health up consistently, not only does this increase their max health pool, but it can also sway enemies from attacking thinking they’ve got the kill or did enough to get it when they just slightly haven’t. This strat works for me because technically every player now just has a higher health pool that can be refreshed consistently before it runs out. It’s an initial 300 health I believe or 250 from activation, than 180 per second. So unless someone is being ganged up on, for example a one on one fight, after 2”3 seconds they’ve now gotten an additional 540 health, and it keeps climbing. If the fights last even longer they have the potential to get 1800 health through the fight. If it’s refreshed they get an instant 300 then another 10 seconds of consistent health. The situations where someone is low on health is where his heal lacks, how ever, his heal does help prevent players from getting that low in the first place, while being able to literally have 3 players all being healed at the same time consistently, while doing solid damage, having a void grip that lifts enemies into the air on a silver platter for your team mates to take out, he can also jet away from danger pretty easily, while being in 3rd person mode making it even easier. Jenos is my guy 😇
i think grover is a bit harder than seris if u are in solo queue bc if everyone spreads out u need to move like crazy, so i think seris is way lower commitment and u die more frequently with grover bc u are kinda in the action all the time and sometimes its hard to get to safety with vine
I agree with the discovery nerf, but the slide is Lex's only movement option and it doesn't have any vertical maneuverability. Even then, when he uses it a lot of flanks like Andro, Koga, Moji, and others can immediately catch back up to him anyways. So I feel like the slide cooldown is balanced.
@@opfreak you want to change his kit so that his discovery target can see him through walls too? Lmao. Why not give the target a 30 percent dmg increase on him as well
@@WolfShi3ld it's a suggestion since he has a card that reduces the cooldown of slide for up to 25% each hit. But not many run it coz slide already has a short cooldown. If you actually play the game, you'd know Lex is broken since the update. Nice try for being an asshat, tho.
I strongly disagree with the Zhin pick. I find him to be really difficult to play compared to some of the other champs. I can play Vora, Evie, and Maeve well enough but Zhin just doesn't ever work out for me. I'd go as far as to say I think he's one of the more difficult flanks i nthe game.
Zhin is easy, but coming from a background of Maeve and Evie might make him seem hard, I took zhin when I was initially new to the game (as new as it would take to get enough currency to buy zhin as a f2p) and zhin was very easy to grasp (granted I played him when his smolder was so op that it was like a rune of travel of talus, get out of fight free card) I haven't played zhin for some time, but considering smolder has decreased duration he won't be as easy but it ain't that difficult as well
@@desmondroyaltyfrye56 Comes down to the individual player. I picked up Evie and Vora faster than Zhin. Something about his kit just didn't click with me.
The list is real good but I for me one of easiest characters is Tiberius. I know mastering is not easy but his main job dealing dmg is very easy. It's pain for me see when people insults players play tib. For me he needs Buff like give more defence just bc of huge hit box make something to increase his chacram spam or give Criple or silence of his heavy sword. Also about him that would be real cancer but make chacram explode while disappear or hit the target this the champion that cant take care of groups like other dmgs. I respect ur decision
Viktor and vivian are easier than tiberius. Both being hitscan and their entire kits being around just lasering people with their weapons. Tiberius is stronger but as a noob capitalising on the slows, movement and the ult is hard. Viktor and vivian are essentially point and shoot even with their ults.
Im a seris main while my friend is a bomb king main. We always combine our ults together and just shred everyone. And we like to trigger people by just double stunning them
Barik (I think it’s his name. The guy with the turret.) is really easy for me. I played on my switch first and used him all the time. Turret is a big help too. I started playing Paladins on my Xbox a couple days ago and I immediately unlocked him because I’m too used to using him. The goblin guy that has a weird suit (idk his name) can also be good for starting players especially being a free hero.
Some champs I would add if it was not limited to 5 are strix, koga, talus and tiberius. Their kits are very simple and all of are veeeery mobile, with the exception of strix, who can go invis so it compensates that. Buying illuminate against strix is good only if you are a flank, and if you are lucky enough that he doesn't get the hit box moments he always gets XD
This really gives me an idea: what if they are the free champs? DMG: Viktor, Tyra Flank: Lex, Zhin Supp: Seris, Jenos Tank: Fernando, barik If so, pairing them with good default loadouts will make the newbies play better.
I like that idea. I think Ruckus is still the free tank, which is just not great for new players. Ruckus is almost completely incapable of point tanking, which is not what most new players try and do with tanks. Fernando would be a much, much better free tank. Jenos, Seris, and Lex are already free, which is good, but the free tank should definitely be changed if you ask me.
Idk about damages cause Tyra and Viktor are pretty similar I think Tyra shoud be replaced with some easy blast damage also I kinda don't like the idea of Zhin being free
@@c3por2d29 well, the only "easy" blast is dredge, so... and all other flanks are not that ez to learn, even talus. and noob skyes are parinful on team.
I would advise new players not to start with one of the easiest to play champions just because you're not very good at the game yet. It is much harder to learn when playing an easy champion, because it's harder to notice when you make mistakes. And if you never do really bad, you don't learn. It's ok to be bad for a while. Just learn form the times you are feeding (and from the times you absolutely pop off!) and you'll improve much faster than someone who just does mediocre all the time.
As someone who's usually the frontliner of the team I hate Tyra. I used to play as Fernando but when Raum got added I fell in love with the way he plays because if you have the right loadout he becomes almost immortal. However I had to give up on Raum on the map Timbermill because There's always a Tyra shooting from the hights, as Raum you're just doomed to die.
some ppl told me zhin was one of the harder champs to pull off, were they lying or was it a difference oc rank/perspective (e.g. ppl in higher elo's know how to make zhin useless)
He’s weird to get used to IMO. You just have to get the jump on most people or you’re risking getting smoked quickly. I would honestly say Skye is a bit easier
It does depend from rank to rank, from my experience everyone below diamond thinks of him as a god champ that needs to be insta banned. Easiest way to counter him is with sha's stun legy. Pretty much useless against a coordinated team.
in lower and mid tier he is pretty goated, but in higher elos he is only decent. he kind of lacks burst dmg but his ult is just op so u can pretty much always play him
I don't agree so much with Nando. His kit is obviously very simple on paper, but I rarely see players use it properly and do good with him. Being a shield bot is extremely easy for sure, but being a great fernando that really helps his team to win isn't. I'm an experienced tank main and I really don't feel like Nando is easier to play than other point tanks like Inara, barik or term.
@@katoyami1565 3 escapes no need of aim ultimate that used to instakill ahhahaha dude ur offended cz ur most braindead champ got bad spot literally there is no more braindead flank than zhin
I personally find Tyra difficult. It might be because her play style is completely different to how I play they game. I play passively and strategically so I use Moji and Octavia as you have to play strategically to get value of them.
Seris main here, although that's mostly because I play on console. Hard to reliably aim with stick drift, but I do my best. Been using her mostly for healing now that I can't aim as well as I'd like. I miss my 100-200k Seris damage games. Truly. I always feel so shitty when I can only get 70k at best.
Seris has always been pretty difficult for me, but I agree with putting her on the list. For me, it’s easy to heal when playing Io, but that might be because I’ve played her so much and know how to play her effectively.
As a seris main, i totally agree. She's so easy to use, her heal are the most OP. Her ultimate. Plus when you choose agony as a talent. but u need to find a target that more closer than you.
The list is perfect imo even tho i would replace tyra with dredge because dredge is the most unskilled charachter and easyest to play in the entire game and im just glad u didnt put lian as the easyest cz she needs at some skill aim and game sense to be played properly anyways great video.
This comment sounds like you just hate dredge despite the existence of vivian because scuttle exists and also he just sits in the backline spamming broadside without being bortheree to be flanked
Dredge needs game sense though, you can easily tell a dredge that knows what he's doing between a dredge that sits still and spams the point. Try using dredge without using your brain and you'll end up being useless and dead most of the time. That is, when playing with people that know what they're doing, of course.
I mean, Lex is kinda easy with Discovery, but I wouldn't have put him on the list 'cause of Death Hastens, this talent really punishes you if you miss your shots... Still, Discovery is really strong rn
ok i wanna know how do yall fire your weapon that fast as genos like i wanna know and really i expected moji or victor to be number 1 with those two being brain dead easy lul but great video
I would not say Zhin is easy, you need to be still very good in positioning to master him. Raum is easy. Just be close to enemies and keep shredding them so you heal.
Honestly I dont exactly agree with saying any champions are the easiest or hardest to play. I cant play Zhin for shit, but im an amazing healer with anyone but damba. Im great at Inara and Yag but i suck with fernando. Its just a matter of the person and their ability to understand the champion, aim, gamesense etc. but i do agree that the kits in some champions can be harder to master.
Can you do a list of the highest tier characters that are easier to carry in high rank. I switched to pc and mouse from console, after two years off, and have been practicing for a few months. I was a gm, but the meta has shifted. I have been mostly practicing with Evie in order to maximize my flick and tracking potential with advanced techniques. Knowing that, a person with good aim and good game sense. What carries. I am rusty but have extensive experience with almost everyone.
I feel your plight, did something real similar. Didn't play alot of ranked, but played alot of games with masters in casuals. For me personally io and raum if you can keep track of their counters cooldowns. Would love to discuss this further but g2g.
@@NuclearLama Thanks for the input. Yeah I have had some good games in rank with Rhaum. And it does seem paying attention to counters is key. That was another reason I decided on Evie. I refuse to buy resilience on her. Instead depending on me raising my game sense up to where I know how to avoid it. But being a tank it sometimes is still needed. But less important if you can just dodge an ability, or wait until they waste an escape and charge in and kill them.
Lex is easy if you have high reflexes you're going to need them if you're going to feed champions and make sure your dash is not get caught into a wall that happens to me most times when it fights and you're going to learn to hold your ground if you can't hold your ground you can't get your bounties.
I have one big problem with this video, one this is every much situational and how easy a character is. And being an easy character is very different than playing them well or good or even great. Each of these characters abilities are pretty straightforward but how you play them make it all the difference. And I feel like this video to some degree makes those character seem devalued because you claim them to be “easy” makes those who have put a lot of time and energy into one of these character less than an achievement. Plus play style and what device you play can also make a difference.
Automatic Heal Viktor is the easiest imo. He heals as he runs away, full auto rifle, a grenade, and artillery strike for his ult. Basically anyone who’s ever played CoD BF any fps, can hop in an use Viktor without much of a learning curve.
Great list, I just would like to suggest changing Tyra for Vivian or Viktor, Tyra's can be hard for the new players that not know to move properly (I have a friend that suffers just to go to the sides xD), Vivian has their shield, that increases the survivability and very useful to go against flank champions, and Viktor, just run and pray to survive hahaha Also, I'd consider changing Zhin for Moji, who has a very simple kit, and is basically, point and shot xD
so you may know that Paladins has really op champions but also not very good champions if your a creative person then keep reading, im starting a discord server where we can create new champions! we are looking for 3 artists preferably digital but paper and pencil works fine to! We also need some writer ex. People who write descriptions, people who write backstories, and if your not very creative after the artists are done you can pick 2-4 names and we vote on which one is our favourite! Please note we don't know who the creator of paladins is/ we dont put our champions in the game this is just for fun! Put your discord down below if your interested! Thank you for reading.
Hi Andrew, About Seris, I agree that her being the easiest to do decent with on the low end is a reasonable opinion. But if we are talking easiest to get full value out of I violently disagree. Alot of the value of her halfway unaimable at medium to long range shots is zoning. They are so dodge-able people can not help themselves. It allows you to herd the enemy team alot like cats, pushing them into misspositioning. Her ult needs to be sure not to be blocked by shields, so you need to keep track of all shield cooldowns. You also need to keep track of who is in range of her aoe heal, along with who should be the main target and who should get the leftovers. She is still not that complex, but In general healers on the top end are nigh impossible to get max value out of. To do it optimally you need to keep an active threat assessment of all teammates and make so many calls. such as which of these 2 teammates do we need less? How far away from being able to cover other teammates will helping them take you? is It worth it to the team to burn my mobility move to get their in time? how long will they last on their current path? what skills do their opponents have up? how much caut? how likely are they to be hit by third party? instead of healing, are they better served by you shooting their opponent?(decided by how much caut an opponent has and how low they both are and if they can deal damage faster that you can heal it) or would chasing off a soon to be 3rd party attacker cat herding style increase their odds more? Will your healing them expose their hiding spot? If so will it doom them? And on and on and on and several parts of that multilayered flow chart need to be done every time a teammate engages. Gotta hammer the process into your bones intil part of that list is second nature and then hammer in the next. keep adding layers until you can't think of a way to control the odds better. You pretty much gotta read the whole enemy and ally team 3 seconds into the future to fully utilize a healer. I've tried to keep that all going so much that now when I play any other class I know more often than not when anyone on my team is gonna die before they do. I can often tell they have chose an unlucky path before they even get off the horse. And now it's much harder to help them. Makes it so hard not to try to backseat drive though the VGS system. Ops. I've gotten a bit side tracked. In conclusion I feel that the healer class is inherently more complex than any other class in palidins and the fact you have put a healer as easiest makes me wanna check if you mean easiest over all or least amount of time and effort needed to start doing something other than a rubbish job. It deeply affects my opinion of your ability to rate characters. It you would inform me exactly what you mean by easiest I would appreciate it. God I need to sleep, im rambling on so hard.
Jeez that's a book... The way you've described Seris here, you can make anyone seem hard. For someone trying to grasp the fundamentals of healing as a new player, she is by far the easiest. Just sit back and right click the lowest person on your team every 2 seconds, and you'll get some good value out of her. If you get scared, press F to run away. While yeah, there's a bit more nuance than that if you want to absolutely maximize your utility for the team, to get just "good" value out of her as a new player, it's not hard in the slightest, especially when compared to other healers like Pip or Io.
@@AndrewChicken thanks for clearing that up. I appreciate it. I think I built up a bit of salt over time over being treated as a noob and being disrespected by others for maining seris for 2 years. I felt her being often put as one of the easiest by many content creators contributed to it, and spewed my thoughts about it all over your comment section. Sorry for the book, and I'm hopeing for your ongoing channel success. Cheers.
Personally, I don’t think Zhin is that easy to play. Yes he can hit shots easily and he has incredible escape ability, but these abilities require timing. Also I’m surprised Victor and Vivian wasn’t on this list
Yeah but I think he addressed that with Tyra since Tyra,Viktor and Vivian play pretty much the same but Tyra is the most powerful of the three due to her strong damage and her ability to shred tanks which is crucial in this meta.
@@nyxislost553 I never said I cared. And it was a joke. Since you can't take jokes and don't know the meme "pathetic" you wouldn't understand. It was a joke because Tyra is really strong. 🤡🤡🤦🏾♂️
Koga should be 5 on this list. Easy to use guns and a simple dash. His dragons claws work as an easier version of zhin's projectiles with another regular dash.
The only reason why I don't like likes ultimate for some reason it just doesn't let me get to kill it takes you long to shoot out which I understand but the accurate is so weird
