TOP TORNADO INTERCEPTS by the Dominator storm chasing vehicles including the Lagrange, Wyoming tornado with a 155.2 mph wind measured by roof-mounted anemometer, and the Aurora, Nebraska intercept on June 17, 2009 when 138.8 mph winds hammered the Dominator 1 inside a suction vortex. The rocket launch into the Linwood, KS EF4 on May 28, 2019 is included, along with a few 2011 and 2013 tornadoes. Non-stop storm chasing videos to come

the tornado south of lawrence kansas was 3.5 miles south of my moms house, and 3.5 miles north of my sisters house. the city of lawrence is a large city, the fact no lives were lost that day is amazing. If that storm would have produced that tornado and it went through lawrence, there would had been countless lives lost that day... that storm tried to drop multiple funnels 20 miles to the east before this particular tornado happened. def was a scary day for lawrence.

Depends on your perspective sir. Things are being shaking so the things that remain is your only true foundation sir. Which is the kingdom of the Lord. God will be exhaulted among the Nations. The word of God says that everything will pass away Heaven and Earth will pass away but My Word Shall remain forever! Jesus didnt come to the world to condem it but through Him the world might be saved. He does Lives us no matter what we endure..To be like Christ is to suffer and go through things. If your faith isnt tested then how do you know you have faith? Remember evil still exist and he would love to see you die without Christ Jesus in your Heart and Life. I dont know if you know Christ Jesus..im not talking religon but the true living God of the Bible. Everything will happen to Gods Plan sir...Jesus does Love You and He bled and died and suffered way more than you can imagine even in this current state. His Love is constant and unchanging sir. He created you and he knew you and i would comment. The world takes back what it gives but God doesnt take back His Love He wants everyone to come to the saving knowledge of His Son and turn from wickedness..but men are prideful and stubborn...God will allow things to take place to get man to see that Hes all they Have. I know God still loves us and i hope you know His Love sir. Everyone who calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved..i pray you know His salvation if not the bible says today is the day of Salvation. Your soul is eternal do you know where you are going to spend it sir? Heaven with Christ or in Hell with The fallen angels and satan and those who deny Jesus Christ is Lord and dont repent and turn from there wickedness in the earth...Make no mistake Judgement Will come sir..plz give your life to him today...your only one heartbeat away from eternity..if you have breathe you have a choice plz make the right one before it all really begins to shakedown and crumble..plz..i care for your soul and i have shared the truth..Gods Holy Spirit will convict and draw your Heart its up to you to turn away.....and not encounter the ONE TRUE LIVING GOD JESUS CHRIST..YAHWEH THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL...thank you for letting me share sir..i pray for you... for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only begotten son that whosoever Shall Believe in him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 thats the real truth and Love this world needs!

r3w -our of curiosity what makes for a good tornado season?
@phoebejane1043
@phoebejane1043 3 года назад
@@Anthony-eg7pw Usually a good tornado season for most chasers is lots of really good strength tornadoes over open land and in fields opposed to an ef - 4/5 tornado going through a town. Aswell as a good storm base with a clearly visible tornado structure. It makes it so that the chasers can see the where the tornado is moving and the best way to collect the valuable data and still deploy their weather instruments/intercept without the havoc of being stuck in a traffic jam (especially in a majorly populated town) for example the El Reno, 2013 storm took 4 chasers lives as the tornado became quite invisible so to speak; shifting directions randomly, most chasers ended up blindsited by the storm and wound up stuck inside of a huge traffic jam which resulted in many chasers being trapped. However they also prefer a storm system in the open country so that there is less chances of destruction of houses, properties, schools ect aswell as there is little to no death toll in the open country. In the more populated area's, towns usually end up totalled or almost completely destroyed (this usually cuts their chase short as they stop and help the victims). Not to mention the loss of lives in the heavily populated suburban areas when the larger storms strike (Like the Moore, 1999 f5 storm (36 deaths, 500 + injuries), the Greensburg Kansas, 2007 f5 tornado (11 deaths, 60 injured) and not to mention the 2011 storm season outbreak (324 deaths, 3,100 + injuries) in towns like the April 27, 2011 Hackleburg f5/Culman f4/Tuscaloosa/Birmingham strong f4 - Alabama tornadoes and the May 22, Joplin Missouri F5 tornado that killed many of people in a heavily populated area. Lets not forget the Moore, May 20th (24 deaths, 212 injuries) & El Reno, May 31st (9 killed, 172 injured) tornadoes in 2013 just to name a few). I do believe it is just an easier chase set up for them to chase in the clearer visibility conditions and an open field with good road networks for their own safety but aswell as for the scientific side of their job. Mother nature is extremely unpredictable so nomatter the set up, so the saftey of the chasers is extremely important! Hope that helped out :)

No joke, I find they cut it pretty close sometimes! Based on my physics, chemistry and math background; I think the way Tornado Chasers deploy their instruments is way too late, not in the correct spot, and not enough of them... Based on thermodynamics in general, they should be dropping thousands of data measuring devices not only into the supercell/and or tornado but a 2 square kilometer box around it... Shooting sensors into a tornado that has already spun up is not useless but we need to blanket a huge square kilometers of airspace to know *why* it spun up in the first place... Need a B52 to fly over head and drop thousands of devices and then and only then we will truly know everything there is to know about tornadoes and why certain supercells spin one up and others don't...

I am so happy not to live in the alley anymore, and yes I have hurricanes to worry about, but I can run from those; however, that 3 AM tempest waking you up is one of the worst feelings in the world.

Screaming hurts. It's indicative of someone who is not prepared to deal with a phenomenon of this grave nature.

I wish Reed would scream less, and comment more. He is childish sounding. If I were doing what he is doing, I would scream a LOT less. He is, however, brave. Stupid, but brave. I'll give him that much. If you're gonna be inside a tornado, at least wear eye protection. The fact that he doesn't maans he's stupid.

for what its worth its incredibly loud for them and it is important that he clearly communicates to his team in these situations. notice he is never not in control of the screaming and you're always able to understand him no matter what is going on around them, much like a commander on a battlefield.

Reed you have to be carefull with fire rockets into a tornado, think about what happened with apollo 12, they got hit by two lightining hits after liftoff and the bolt rided down the exhaust gas cloud into the starting complex....

Reed’s not a tornado chaser- he’s a tornado catcher.

No it’s humans we really have to watch out for. Other drivers are the most dangerous part of storm chasing

Hi Reed, I have a question. When you said we gotta get out of here, and the wind pick up, did you hit the gas after you said it, while the Dominator was still lowered? Also I think I know why and how your bullet proof window got stuck. I think when you hit that bump that made the computer to the your radar crash, it also got the window stuck.
