100% I thought the same thing. His one job was to not let the zerglings die while he danced and did free damage to the command center or picked off an scv here and there while his hatchery finished and he was able to make more zerglings in his base to overpower the SCV pack. He had 0 reason to ever move his screen from that point and he looked away for at least 5 seconds to... idk, actually. Since he didn't macro I have no idea what he was doing.

yeah definitely could have micro'd around and wasted a hugeeeeeeeee amount of mining time. Macro up behind it and get a solid lead

this is how i think about the FGC. LMAO like how does such a niche and tiny community radiate more gamma rays than the elephant's foot? tbh, i think the FGC is worse because i rarely get games like this in starcraft, but every other day that i choose to play a fighting game online, there's always such awful toxicity that makes the world's pollution look tame in comparison. to be fair, a few people and most of the community figures are cool people, but i am so sorry about their backs because of how much they have to carry the adult babies of the FGC.

@@MrKarl-zt5cp Mines do 40 splash damage which happens to be exactly the health of Drones and health+shields for Probes. They don’t kill SCVs by splash damage. You might lose one or two from direct damage if you miss the medivac flying in, but not your entire mineral line like happens to Toss and Zerg.

Wasn't using em for army but was using control groups for buildings at least! Those are probably the most important ones. Still hard to play without separate army groups whenever you gotta split up your army though

Dude, bio is literally the only good army Terran has in TvP. Even lategame is just bio with Libs/Ghosts. Mech only works against Zerg and even then, it's still worse.

The main reason why Terrans have used basically the same bio unit comp for nearly a decade (literally MMM with slight tweaks over and over) is because Terran has no fast response option outside of bio. No Nexus Recalls, Nydus Worms, or Creep sanic speed to quickly reposition units anywhere, so they're stuck with Medivacs for army movement and...nothing else. This is also the crux of why Terran mech and air combat units are also almost nonexistent: you can't attack with them without leaving yourself wide open to getting attacked so that playstyle is just a glorified base race setup. Now, on paper the intended playstyle of Terran is supposed to be slow pushing with a mix of infantry in Bunkers with Siege Tanks and other mech units for heavy firepower, slowly advancing by salvaging the Bunkers and also moving your own base with the army...except Reactors/Tech Labs discourage moving the buildings plus an opponent can just go to your old base locations with all the depots and supply block you so obviously no one ever used this playstyle that Terran was built around. So the result is that all the units with low mobility and no overpowered aspect about them in a game centered so strongly around quick-response unit positioning are useless filler jokes at best, and that's roughly half of Terran's available units. If Siege Tanks did not deal bonkers damage with splash, no one would even look at them as an option.

Zerg builds a single tech structure and then can build as many of the unit it unlocks as their entire production infrastructure will allow. It is supreme bias that you would expect a terran to tech switch in the same manner as a zerg. Perhaps terrans find it "really strange" that after a battle a zerg can simply show up with an entirely different army composition while they themselves are constrained by the limited options of their existing infrastructure, and transitioning would be a slow expensive process. Trust me terrans would love to be able to go from marine marauder and then suddenly have 20 thors, shared upgrades and all, the way you guys do with your ultralisks. Food for thought.

i highly doubt players like that watch starcraft content, they just play and think theyre great at the game because they have no clue how the game actually works
